Et Samson descendit en Thamnatha, ou il vit une femme parmi les filles des Philistins.

Y DESCENDIENDO Samsón á Timnah, vió en Timnah una mujer de las hijas de los Filisteos.

And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.

Il s'en retourna, et il l'apprit à son père et à sa mère, et il dit : J'ai vu, en Thamnatha, une femme parmi les filles des Philistins ; maintenant, prenez-la, et me la donnez pour femme.

Y subió, y declarólo á su padre y á su madre, diciendo: Yo he visto en Timnah una mujer de las hijas de los Filisteos: ruégoos que me la toméis por mujer.

And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

He came up, and told his father and his mother, saying, “I have seen a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines. Now therefore get her for me as my wife.”

Son père et sa mère lui répondirent : N'y a-t-il point de filles de tes frères ? n'est-il point une seule femme parmi tout notre peuple, pour que tu ailles prendre femme chez des étrangers incirconcis ? Et Samson dit à son père : Prends-la pour moi, parce qu'elle est à mes yeux celle qui me convient.

Y su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo mi pueblo, para que vayas tú á tomar mujer de los Filisteos incircuncisos? Y Samsón respondió á su padre: Tómamela por mujer, porque ésta agradó á mis ojos.

Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

Then his father and his mother said to him, “Isn’t there a woman among your brothers’ daughters, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines?” Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she pleases me well.”

Son père et sa mère ne savaient pas qu'il agissait par la volonté du Seigneur, et qu'il cherchait un sujet de vengeance contre les Philistins ; car, en ce temps-là, les Philistins dominaient sur Israël.

Mas su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Jehová, y que él buscaba ocasión contra los Filisteos: porque en aquel tiempo los Filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.

But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

But his father and his mother didn’t know that it was of the LORD; for he sought an occasion against the Philistines. Now at that time the Philistines ruled over Israel.

Samson descendit donc avec son père et sa mère en Thamnatha, et il alla seul jusqu'à la vigne de Thamnatha, et voici venir à sa rencontre un jeune lion rugissant.

L'Esprit du Seigneur s'élança sur Samson, qui broya le lionceau comme il eut broyé une jeune chèvre ; or, il n'avait rien dans les mains, et il ne raconta ce qu'il avait fait ni à son père ni à sa mère.

Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y despedazólo como quien despedaza un cabrito, sin tener nada en su mano: y no dió á entender á su padre ni á su madre lo que había hecho.

And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

The LORD’s Spirit came mightily on him, and he tore him as he would have torn a young goat with his bare hands, but he didn’t tell his father or his mother what he had done.

Ils reprirent leur route, et ils parlèrent à la femme ; et, aux yeux de Samson, elle était celle qui lui convenait.

And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

Quelque temps après, il y alla de nouveau, afin de l'épouser, et il se détourna pour voir le cadavre du lion, et voilà qu'il y avait dans sa gueule un essaim d'abeilles et du miel.

Y volviendo después de algunos días para tomarla, apartóse para ver el cuerpo muerto del león, y he aquí en el cuerpo del león un enjambre de abejas, y un panal de miel.

And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.

Il prit du miel dans ses mains, et il s'en alla en mangeant. Quand il eut rejoint son père et sa mère, il leur en donna, et ils en mangèrent ; mais il ne dit point qu'il l'avait pris dans la gueule du lion.

Y tomándolo en sus manos, fuése comiéndolo por el camino: y llegado que hubo á su padre y á su madre, dióles también á ellos que comiesen; mas no les descubrió que había tomado aquella miel del cuerpo del león.

And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.

He took it into his hands, and went on, eating as he went. He came to his father and mother and gave to them, and they ate, but he didn’t tell them that he had taken the honey out of the lion’s body.

Son père descendit auprès de la femme ; et là, Samson prépara un festin pour sept jours, parce qu'ainsi font les jeunes gens.

Vino pues su padre á la mujer, y Samsón hizo allí banquete; porque así solían hacer los mancebos.

So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.

Quand les gens le virent, ils invitèrent trente convives, et ceux-ci se tinrent auprès de lui.

Y como ellos le vieron, tomaron treinta compañeros que estuviesen con él;

Et Samson leur dit : Je vous propose une énigme ; si vous la devinez très-bien, pendant ces sept jours de festin, et si vous l'expliquez, je vous donnerai trente suaires et trente tuniques pour vous vêtir.

A los cuales Samsón dijo: Yo os propondré ahora un enigma, el cual si en los siete días del banquete vosotros me declarareis y descubriereis, yo os daré treinta sábanas y treinta mudas de vestidos.

And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:

Samson said to them, “Let me tell you a riddle now. If you can tell me the answer within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing;

Si vous ne pouvez me l'expliquer, vous me donnerez trente vêtements de lin et trente tuniques changeantes. Et ils répondirent : Propose ton énigme, que nous l'entendions.

Mas si no me lo supiereis declarar, vosotros me daréis las treinta sábanas y las treinta mudas de vestidos. Y ellos respondieron: Propónnos tu enigma, y lo oiremos.

But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.

but if you can’t tell me the answer, then you shall give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing.” They said to him, “Tell us your riddle, that we may hear it.”

Et il leur dit : L'aliment a été tiré du mangeur ; la douceur de la force. Or, ils passèrent trois jours sans pouvoir expliquer l'énigme.

Entonces les dijo: Del comedor salió comida, y del fuerte salió dulzura. Y ellos no pudieron declararle el enigma en tres días.

And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

He said to them, “Out of the eater came out food. Out of the strong came out sweetness.” They couldn’t in three days declare the riddle.

Le quatrième jour, ils dirent à la femme de Samson : Trompe ton mari, et qu'il t'explique l'énigme ; sinon nous te livrerons aux flammes, toi et la maison de ton père. Est-ce que vous nous avez invités pour nous extorquer nos biens ?

Y al séptimo día dijeron á la mujer de Samsón: Induce á tu marido á que nos declare este enigma, porque no te quememos á ti y á la casa de tu padre. ¿Habéisnos llamado aquí para poseernos?

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?

On the seventh day, they said to Samson’s wife, “Entice your husband, that he may declare to us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father’s house with fire. Have you called us to impoverish us? Isn’t that so?”

Alors, la femme de Samson pleura auprès de lui, et elle lui dit : Sans doute tu me hais ; tu ne m'aimes point, puisque tu ne m'as pas expliqué l'énigme que tu as proposée aux enfants de mon peuple. Samson répondit : Si je ne l'ai expliqué ni a mon père ni a ma mère, te l'expliquerai-je à toi ?

Y lloró la mujer de Samsón delante de él, y dijo: Solamente me aborreces y no me amas, pues que no me declaras el enigma que propusiste á los hijos de mi pueblo. Y él respondió: He aquí que ni á mi padre ni á mi madre lo he declarado; y ¿habíalo de declarar á ti?

And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?

Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, “You just hate me, and don’t love me. You’ve told a riddle to the children of my people, and haven’t told it to me.” He said to her, “Behold, I haven’t told my father or my mother, so why should I tell you?”

Et elle pleura auprès de lui pendant le reste des sept jours que dura le festin ; le septième jour, il lui expliqua l'énigme, parce qu'elle ne cessait de le troubler ; et elle l'expliqua aux enfants de son peuple.

Y ella lloró delante de él los siete días que ellos tuvieron banquete: mas al séptimo día él se lo declaró, porque le constriñó; y ella lo declaró á los hijos de su pueblo.

And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.

Les hommes de la ville lui dirent donc le septième jour, avant le lever du soleil : Qu'y a-t-il de plus doux que le miel ? Qu'y a-t-il de plus fort que le lion ? Et Samson leur dit : Si vous n'aviez point labouré avec ma génisse, vous ne sauriez point mon énigme.

Y al séptimo día, antes que el sol se pusiese, los de la ciudad le dijeron: ¿Qué cosa más dulce que la miel? ¿y qué cosa más fuerte que el león?

And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.

The men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down, “What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?” He said to them, “If you hadn’t plowed with my heifer, you wouldn’t have found out my riddle.”

Aussitôt, l'Esprit du Seigneur s'élança sur lui ; il alla en Ascalon, il y tua trente hommes, il prit leurs vêtements, et il donna leurs tuniques changeantes à ceux qui avaient expliqué l'énigme. Et Samson fut courroucé, et il revint à la maison de son père.

Y él les respondió: Si no araseis con mi novilla, nunca hubierais descubierto mi enigma.

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.

The LORD’s Spirit came mightily on him, and he went down to Ashkelon and struck thirty men of them. He took their plunder, then gave the changes of clothing to those who declared the riddle. His anger burned, and he went up to his father’s house.

Et la femme de Samson épousa l'un des amis qu'il aimait.

Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y descendió á Ascalón, é hirió treinta hombres de ellos; y tomando sus despojos, dió las mudas de vestidos á los que habían explicado el enigma: y encendido en enojo fuése á casa de su padre. Y la mujer de Samsón fué dada á su compañero, con el cual él antes se acompañaba.
