Subió y se lo declaró a su padre y a su madre: Vi en Timnat a una mujer de las hijas de los filisteos. Tómenla para mí como esposa.
Y subió, y declarólo á su padre y á su madre, diciendo: Yo he visto en Timnah una mujer de las hijas de los Filisteos: ruégoos que me la toméis por mujer.
And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

Entonces su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo nuestro pueblo, para que vayas a tomar esposa de los filisteos incircuncisos? Y Sansón respondió a su padre: ¡Tómala para mí como esposa, porque me parece agradable!
Y su padre y su madre le dijeron: ¿No hay mujer entre las hijas de tus hermanos, ni en todo mi pueblo, para que vayas tú á tomar mujer de los Filisteos incircuncisos? Y Samsón respondió á su padre: Tómamela por mujer, porque ésta agradó á mis ojos.
Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.
Then his father and his mother said to him, “Isn’t there a woman among your brothers’ daughters, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines?” Samson said to his father, “Get her for me, for she pleases me well.”
Pero su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Yavé, porque buscaba ocasión contra los filisteos, pues en aquel tiempo los filisteos tenían dominio sobre Israel.
Mas su padre y su madre no sabían que esto venía de Jehová, y que él buscaba ocasión contra los Filisteos: porque en aquel tiempo los Filisteos dominaban sobre Israel.
But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

Sansón bajó con su padre y con su madre a Timnat. Cuando llegaron a las viñas de Timnat, ahí salía un leoncillo que rugía hacia él.
Y Samsón descendió con su padre y con su madre á Timnah: y como llegaron á las viñas de Timnah, he aquí un cachorro de león que venía bramando hacia él.

El Espíritu de Yavé vino poderosamente sobre él, y lo destrozó como el que destroza un cabrito, sin tener algo en su mano. Pero no contó a su padre ni a su madre lo que hizo.
Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y despedazólo como quien despedaza un cabrito, sin tener nada en su mano: y no dió á entender á su padre ni á su madre lo que había hecho.
And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
The LORD’s Spirit came mightily on him, and he tore him as he would have torn a young goat with his bare hands, but he didn’t tell his father or his mother what he had done.
Entonces bajó y habló con la mujer, y ella agradó a Sansón.
Vino pues, y habló á la mujer que había agradado á Samsón.
And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

Después de algunos días, volvió para tomarla. Se desvió para ver el cadáver del león y vio que en el esqueleto del león estaba una colmena de abejas con miel.
Y volviendo después de algunos días para tomarla, apartóse para ver el cuerpo muerto del león, y he aquí en el cuerpo del león un enjambre de abejas, y un panal de miel.
And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.
After a while he returned to take her, and he went over to see the carcass of the lion; and behold, there was a swarm of bees in the body of the lion, and honey.
Tomó la miel en sus manos y siguió caminando y comiendo por el camino, hasta que alcanzó a su padre y a su madre. Les dio para que comieran, pero no les explicó que tomó la miel del esqueleto del león.
Y tomándolo en sus manos, fuése comiéndolo por el camino: y llegado que hubo á su padre y á su madre, dióles también á ellos que comiesen; mas no les descubrió que había tomado aquella miel del cuerpo del león.
And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.
He took it into his hands, and went on, eating as he went. He came to his father and mother and gave to them, and they ate, but he didn’t tell them that he had taken the honey out of the lion’s body.
Su padre bajó adonde estaba la mujer, y Sansón hizo allí un banquete, porque los jóvenes acostumbraban esto.
Vino pues su padre á la mujer, y Samsón hizo allí banquete; porque así solían hacer los mancebos.
So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.

Sucedió que cuando lo vieron, llevaron 30 compañeros para que estuvieran con él.
Y como ellos le vieron, tomaron treinta compañeros que estuviesen con él;
And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.

Sansón les dijo: Les propongo ahora una adivinanza. Si en los siete días del banquete me la declaran y descifran, les daré 30 túnicas de lino y 30 mudas de ropa.
A los cuales Samsón dijo: Yo os propondré ahora un enigma, el cual si en los siete días del banquete vosotros me declarareis y descubriereis, yo os daré treinta sábanas y treinta mudas de vestidos.
And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:
Samson said to them, “Let me tell you a riddle now. If you can tell me the answer within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing;
Pero si no me la pueden declarar, me tendrán que dar ustedes 30 túnicas de lino y 30 mudas de ropa. Le dijeron: Propón tu adivinanza para que la escuchemos.
Mas si no me lo supiereis declarar, vosotros me daréis las treinta sábanas y las treinta mudas de vestidos. Y ellos respondieron: Propónnos tu enigma, y lo oiremos.
But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.
but if you can’t tell me the answer, then you shall give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing.” They said to him, “Tell us your riddle, that we may hear it.”
Él les dijo: Del devorador salió comida, Y del fuerte salió dulzura. Y no lograron descifrar la adivinanza en tres días.
Entonces les dijo: Del comedor salió comida, y del fuerte salió dulzura. Y ellos no pudieron declararle el enigma en tres días.
And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.
He said to them, “Out of the eater came out food. Out of the strong came out sweetness.” They couldn’t in three days declare the riddle.
Pero al séptimo día dijeron a la esposa de Sansón: Seduce a tu esposo para sonsacarle la solución de la adivinanza, o te quememos a ti y la casa de tu padre. ¿Nos invitaron para despojarnos?
Y al séptimo día dijeron á la mujer de Samsón: Induce á tu marido á que nos declare este enigma, porque no te quememos á ti y á la casa de tu padre. ¿Habéisnos llamado aquí para poseernos?
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson’s wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
On the seventh day, they said to Samson’s wife, “Entice your husband, that he may declare to us the riddle, lest we burn you and your father’s house with fire. Have you called us to impoverish us? Isn’t that so?”
La esposa de Sansón lloraba delante de él y le decía: ¡Solo me odias, y no me amas! Propusiste una adivinanza a los hijos de mi pueblo y no me la declaras. Y él respondió: Mira, no se la dije a mi padre ni a mi madre, ¿y te la voy a declarar a ti?
Y lloró la mujer de Samsón delante de él, y dijo: Solamente me aborreces y no me amas, pues que no me declaras el enigma que propusiste á los hijos de mi pueblo. Y él respondió: He aquí que ni á mi padre ni á mi madre lo he declarado; y ¿habíalo de declarar á ti?
And Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
Samson’s wife wept before him, and said, “You just hate me, and don’t love me. You’ve told a riddle to the children of my people, and haven’t told it to me.” He said to her, “Behold, I haven’t told my father or my mother, so why should I tell you?”
Lloró los siete días que duró su banquete, y aconteció que al séptimo día se la declaró, porque lo presionaba. Ella entonces declaró la adivinanza a los hijos de su pueblo.
Y ella lloró delante de él los siete días que ellos tuvieron banquete: mas al séptimo día él se lo declaró, porque le constriñó; y ella lo declaró á los hijos de su pueblo.
And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.

Al séptimo día, antes de ocultarse el sol, los hombres de la ciudad le dijeron: ¿Qué es más dulce que la miel? ¿Y qué es más fuerte que el león? Y él les contestó: Si no hubieran arado con mi novilla, nunca habrían descubierto mi adivinanza.
Y al séptimo día, antes que el sol se pusiese, los de la ciudad le dijeron: ¿Qué cosa más dulce que la miel? ¿y qué cosa más fuerte que el león?
And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
The men of the city said to him on the seventh day before the sun went down, “What is sweeter than honey? What is stronger than a lion?” He said to them, “If you hadn’t plowed with my heifer, you wouldn’t have found out my riddle.”
Entonces el Espíritu de Yavé vino sobre él, de manera que bajó a Ascalón y mató a 30 hombres de ellos, tomó sus despojos y dio las mudas de ropa a los que habían declarado la adivinanza. Luego, encendido en ira, regresó a la casa de su padre.
Y él les respondió: Si no araseis con mi novilla, nunca hubierais descubierto mi enigma.
And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
The LORD’s Spirit came mightily on him, and he went down to Ashkelon and struck thirty men of them. He took their plunder, then gave the changes of clothing to those who declared the riddle. His anger burned, and he went up to his father’s house.
Y la esposa de Sansón fue dada a un compañero de él que fue amigo de Sansón.
Y el espíritu de Jehová cayó sobre él, y descendió á Ascalón, é hirió treinta hombres de ellos; y tomando sus despojos, dió las mudas de vestidos á los que habían explicado el enigma: y encendido en enojo fuése á casa de su padre. Y la mujer de Samsón fué dada á su compañero, con el cual él antes se acompañaba.
