1OR v'era un uomo della montagna di Efraim, il cui nome era Mica.
2Ed esso disse a sua madre: I mille e cento sicli d'argento che ti erano stati tolti, per li quali tu scongiurasti con maledizioni, le quali eziandio tu proferisti in mia presenza; ecco, sono appresso di me; io li avea presi. E sua madre gli disse: Benedetto sia il mio figliuolo appo il Signore.
3E, quando egli rendè i mille e cento sicli d'argento a sua madre, ella disse: Io avea del tutto consacrato questo argento al Signore, dispodestandomene per lo mio figliuolo, per farne una scultura, e una statua di getto; ora dunque io te lo renderò.
4Esso adunque rendè quell'argento a sua madre; ed ella ne prese dugento sicli, e li diede all'orafo; ed egli ne fece una scultura, e una statua di getto, che furono in casa di Mica.
5Quest'uomo Mica ebbe dunque un tempio, e fece un Efod, e degl'idoli; e consacrò uno de' suoi figliuoli, il qual gli fu per sacerdote.
6In quel tempo non v'era alcun re in Israele; ciascuno faceva ciò che gli parea bene.
7Or un certo giovane di Bet-lehem di Giuda, che è della nazione di Giuda, il quale era Levita, ed era dimorato quivi,
8partitosi di quella città, cioè, di Bet-lehem di Giuda, per dimorare ovunque troverebbe luogo, e procedendo a suo cammino, giunse al monte di Efraim, alla casa di Mica.
9E Mica gli disse: Onde vieni? E il Levita gli disse: Io son di Bet-lehem di Giuda, e vo a dimorare ovunque troverò luogo.
10E Mica gli disse: Dimora meco, e siimi per padre, e per sacerdote; e io ti darò dieci sicli d'argento l'anno, e il tuo vestire ordinario, e il tuo nudrimento. E il Levita vi andò.
11Così quel giovane Levita si convenne di dimorar con quell'uomo, il qual lo tenne come l'uno de' suoi figliuoli.
12E Mica consacrò quel Levita; e il giovane gli fu per sacerdote, e stette in casa di Mica.
13E Mica disse: Ora conosco che il Signore mi farà del bene, poichè io ho un Levita per sacerdote.

1HUBO un hombre del monte de Ephraim, que se llamaba Michâs.
2El cual dijo á su madre: Los mil y cien siclos de plata que te fueron hurtados, por lo que tú maldecías oyéndolo yo, he aquí que yo tengo este dinero: yo lo había tomado. Entonces la madre dijo: Bendito seas de Jehová, hijo mío.
3Y luego que él hubo vuelto á su madre los mil y cien siclos de plata, su madre dijo: Yo he dedicado este dinero á Jehová de mi mano para ti, hijo mío, para que hagas una imagen de talla y de fundición: ahora pues, yo te lo devuelvo.
4Mas volviendo él á su madre los dineros, tomó su madre doscientos siclos de plata, y diólos al fundidor: y él le hizo de ellos una imagen de talla y de fundición, la cual fué puesta en casa de Michâs.
5Y tuvo este hombre Michâs casa de dioses, é hízose hacer ephod y teraphim, y consagró uno de sus hijos; y fuéle por sacerdote.
6En estos días no había rey en Israel: cada uno hacía como mejor le parecía.
7Y había un joven de Beth-lehem de Judá, de la tribu de Judá, el cual era Levita; y peregrinaba allí.
8Este hombre se había partido de la ciudad de Beth-lehem de Judá, para ir á vivir donde hallase; y llegando al monte de Ephraim, vino á casa de Michâs, para de allí hacer su camino.
9Y Michâs le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes? Y el Levita le respondió: Soy de Beth-lehem de Judá, y voy á vivir donde hallare.
10Entonces Michâs le dijo: Quédate en mi casa, y me serás en lugar de padre y sacerdote; y yo te daré diez siclos de plata por año, y el ordinario de vestidos, y tu comida. Y el Levita se quedó.
11Acordó pues el Levita en morar con aquel hombre, y él lo tenía como á uno de sus hijos.
12Y Michâs consagró al Levita, y aquel joven le servía de sacerdote, y estaba en casa de Michâs.
13Y Michâs dijo: Ahora sé que Jehová me hará bien, pues que el Levita es hecho mi sacerdote.

1And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
2And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.
3And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.
4Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah.
5And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
7And there was a young man out of Beth-lehem-judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.
8And the man departed out of the city from Beth-lehem-judah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed.
9And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Beth-lehem-judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
10And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.
11And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him as one of his sons.
12And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13Then said Micah, Now know I that the LORD will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
World English Bible
1There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
2He said to his mother, “The eleven hundred pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse, and also spoke it in my ears—behold, the silver is with me. I took it.” His mother said, “May the LORD bless my son!”
3He restored the eleven hundred pieces of silver to his mother, then his mother said, “I most certainly dedicate the silver to the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a carved image and a molten image. Now therefore I will restore it to you.”
4When he restored the money to his mother, his mother took two hundred pieces of silver, and gave them to a silversmith, who made a carved image and a molten image out of it. It was in the house of Micah.
5The man Micah had a house of gods, and he made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
6In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did that which was right in his own eyes.
7There was a young man out of Bethlehem Judah, of the family of Judah, who was a Levite; and he lived there.
8The man departed out of the city, out of Bethlehem Judah, to live where he could find a place, and he came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, as he traveled.
9Micah said to him, “Where did you come from?” He said to him, “I am a Levite of Bethlehem Judah, and I am looking for a place to live.”
10Micah said to him, “Dwell with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver per year, a suit of clothing, and your food.” So the Levite went in.
11The Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was to him as one of his sons.
12Micah consecrated the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
13Then Micah said, “Now I know that the LORD will do good to me, since I have a Levite as my priest.”
