Estas son las naciones que dejó subsistir el Señor, y con el fin de instruir por medio de ellas a Israel, y a todos los que no tenían experiencia de las guerras de los cananeos;

Por esto dejó Jehová aquellas gentes, y no las desarraigó luego, ni las entregó en mano de Josué.
