Un envoyé du Seigneur s’en vint de Ghilgal à Bokhîm et dit de sa part: "Je vous avais fait monter d’Egypte et entrer dans le pays que j’avais promis par serment à vos pères, et j’avais dit: "Je ne romprai jamais mon alliance avec vous;

Y El ángel de Jehová subió de Gilgal á Bochîm, y dijo: Yo os saqué de Egipto, y os introduje en la tierra de la cual había jurado á vuestros padres; y dije: No invalidaré jamás mi pacto con vosotros;

And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.

The LORD’s angel came up from Gilgal to Bochim. He said, “I brought you out of Egypt, and have brought you to the land which I swore to give your fathers. I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you.

mais à votre tour ne transigez point avec les habitants de ce pays, détruisez leurs autels!" Et vous n’avez pas écouté ma voix. Qu’avez-vous fait là!

Con tal que vosotros no hagáis alianza con los moradores de aquesta tierra, cuyos altares habéis de derribar: mas vosotros no habéis atendido á mi voz: ¿por qué habéis hecho esto?

And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this?

Aussi ai-je résolu de ne pas les chasser de devant vous; et ils s’attacheront à vos flancs, et leurs divinités seront pour vous un écueil."

Por tanto yo también dije: No los echaré de delante de vosotros, sino que os serán por azote para vuestros costados, y sus dioses por tropiezo.

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

Quand l’envoyé du Seigneur eut ainsi parlé à tous les enfants d’Israël, le peuple éclata en pleurs;

Y como el ángel de Jehová habló estas palabras á todos los hijos de Israel, el pueblo lloró en alta voz.

And it came to pass, when the angel of the LORD spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

on nomma cet endroit Bokhîm, et l’on y sacrifia à l’Eternel.

Y llamaron por nombre aquel lugar Bochîm: y sacrificaron allí á Jehová.

Or, lorsque Josué eut congédié le peuple et que les enfants d’Israël, prenant possession du pays, s’installèrent chacun dans son héritage,

And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.

le peuple servit l’Eternel pendant toute la vie de Josué, et tout le temps que vécurent, après lui, les vieillards témoins de toutes les grandes œuvres que Dieu avait accomplies pour Israël.

Y el pueblo había servido á Jehová todo el tiempo de Josué, y todo el tiempo de los ancianos que vivieron largos días después de Josué, los cuales habían visto todas las grandes obras de Jehová, que él había hecho por Israel.

And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.

Quand toute cette génération, à son tour, fut réunie à ses pères, une autre génération lui succéda, qui ne connaissait point l’Eternel, ni ce qu’il avait fait pour Israël.

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

Les enfants d’Israël firent ce qui déplaît à l’Eternel, ils adorèrent les Bealim.

Y los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en ojos de Jehová, y sirvieron á los Baales:

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, and served the Baals.

Abandonnant l’Eternel, Dieu de leurs pères, qui les avait tirés du pays d’Egypte, ils s’attachèrent à d’autres dieux, choisis parmi ceux des peuples d’alentour, se prosternèrent devant eux et irritèrent l’Eternel.

Y dejaron á Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que los había sacado de la tierra de Egipto, y fuéronse tras otros dioses, los dioses de los pueblos que estaban en sus alrededores, á los cuales adoraron; y provocaron á ira á Jehová.

And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

Ils abandonnèrent ainsi l’Eternel, pour servir Baal et les Astarot.

Alors la colère de l’Eternel s’alluma contre Israël, il les abandonna aux déprédations de peuples pillards, les livra aux ennemis qui les entouraient, et ils ne furent plus capables de leur tenir tête.

Y el furor de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, el cual los entregó en manos de robadores que los despojaron, y los vendió en manos de sus enemigos de alrededor: y no pudieron parar más delante de sus enemigos.

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

Dans toutes leurs expéditions, la main de l’Eternel intervenait à leur désavantage, comme il l’avait annoncé, comme il le leur avait juré; ils furent ainsi réduits à la plus grande détresse.

Por donde quiera que salían, la mano de Jehová era contra ellos para mal, como Jehová había dicho, y como Jehová se lo había jurado; así los afligió en gran manera.

Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

Wherever they went out, the LORD’s hand was against them for evil, as the LORD had spoken, and as the LORD had sworn to them; and they were very distressed.

Alors Dieu suscita des juges, qui les délivrèrent de la main de leurs déprédateurs.

Mas Jehová suscitó jueces que los librasen de mano de los que los despojaban.

Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them.

The LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hand of those who plundered them.

Mais ils n’obéirent pas non plus à leurs juges: loin de là, ils se prostituèrent à des dieux étrangers et se prosternèrent devant eux; promptement infidèles à la voie qu’avaient suivie leurs pères, ils n’écoutèrent pas, comme eux, les commandements du Seigneur.

Y tampoco oyeron á sus jueces, sino que fornicaron tras dioses ajenos, á los cuales adoraron: apartáronse bien presto del camino en que anduvieron sus padres obedeciendo á los mandamientos de Jehová; mas ellos no hicieron así.

And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.

Yet they didn’t listen to their judges; for they prostituted themselves to other gods, and bowed themselves down to them. They quickly turned away from the way in which their fathers walked, obeying the LORD’s commandments. They didn’t do so.

Quand l’Eternel leur suscitait des juges, il assistait ceux-ci et délivrait les Israélites du pouvoir de leurs ennemis tant que vivait le juge; car l’Eternel se laissait fléchir par leurs gémissements que provoquaient leurs oppresseurs et leurs tyrans.

Y cuando Jehová les suscitaba jueces, Jehová era con el juez, y librábalos de mano de los enemigos todo el tiempo de aquel juez: porque Jehová se arrepentía por sus gemidos á causa de los que los oprimían y afligían.

And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that oppressed them and vexed them.

When the LORD raised up judges for them, then the LORD was with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it grieved the LORD because of their groaning by reason of those who oppressed them and troubled them.

Puis, le juge mort, ils recommençaient à agir plus mal encore que leur ancêtres en s’attachant à des dieux étrangers, en les servant et en se prosternant devant eux, en ne renonçant enfin ni à leurs méfaits, ni à leur conduite déréglée.

Mas en muriendo el juez, ellos se tornaban, y se corrompían más que sus padres, siguiendo dioses ajenos para servirles, é inclinándose delante de ellos; y nada disminuían de sus obras, ni de su duro camino.

And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way.

But when the judge was dead, they turned back, and dealt more corruptly than their fathers in following other gods to serve them and to bow down to them. They didn’t cease what they were doing, or give up their stubborn ways.

Aussi l’Eternel s’irrita contre Israël et dit: "Puisque cette nation a transgressé le pacte que j’avais imposé à ses pères, puisqu’ils n’ont pas écouté ma voix,

Y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y dijo: Pues que esta gente traspasa mi pacto que ordené á sus padres, y no obedecen mi voz,

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;

The LORD’s anger burned against Israel; and he said, “Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

à mon tour, je ne veux plus déposséder, en leur faveur, aucun des peuples que Josué a laissé subsister lorsqu’il est mort.

Tampoco yo echaré más de delante de ellos á ninguna de aquestas gentes que dejó Josué cuando murió;

I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:

I also will no longer drive out any of the nations that Joshua left when he died from before them;

Ils me serviront à éprouver les Israélites, à juger s’ils s’appliquent ou non à suivre les voies de l’Eternel comme l’on fait leurs ancêtres."

Para que por ellas probara yo á Israel, si guardarían ellos el camino de Jehová andando por él, como sus padres lo guardaron, ó no.

That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep it, or not.

that by them I may test Israel, to see if they will keep the LORD’s way to walk therein, as their fathers kept it, or not.”

L’Eternel s’abstint donc de hâter la dépossession de ces peuples, de même qu’il ne les avait point livrés au pouvoir de Josué.

Por esto dejó Jehová aquellas gentes, y no las desarraigó luego, ni las entregó en mano de Josué.

Therefore the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily; neither delivered he them into the hand of Joshua.

So the LORD left those nations, without driving them out hastily. He didn’t deliver them into Joshua’s hand.
