Afin qu’au moins les générations des enfants d’Israël sussent et apprissent ce que c’est que la guerre ; au moins ceux qui auparavant n’en avaient rien connu.

Para que al menos el linaje de los hijos de Israel conociese, para enseñarlos en la guerra, siquiera fuese á los que antes no la habían conocido:

Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
