Dies sind die Heiden, die der HERR lieft bleiben, daß er an ihnen Israel versuchte, die nicht wuftten urn die Kriege Kanaans,

ESTAS, pues, son las gentes que dejó Jehová para probar con ellas á Israel, á todos aquellos que no habían conocido todas las guerras de Canaán;

Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;

Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;

Dieselben blieben, Israel an denselben zu versuchen, daß es kund wtirde, ob sie den Geboten des HERRN gehorchten, die er ihren Vatern geboten hatte durch Mose.

Estos pues fueron para probar por ellos á Israel, para saber si obedecerían á los mandamientos de Jehová, que él había prescrito á sus padres por mano de Moisés.

And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.

nahmen sie jener Tochter zu Weibern und gaben ihre Tochter jener Sohnen und dieneten jener Gottern;

Y la saña de Jehová se encendió contra Israel, y vendiólos en manos de Chusan-risathaim, rey de Mesopotamia; y sirvieron los hijos de Israel á Chusan-risathaim ocho años.

Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim eight years.

Und der Geist des HERRN war in ihm; und ward Richter in Israel und zog aus zum Streit. Und der HERR gab den Konig zu Syrien, Kusan-Risathaim, in seine Hand, daß seine Hand uber ihn zu stark ward.

Da ward das Land stille vierzig Jahre. Und Athniel, der Sohn Kenas, starb.

Aber die Kinder Israel taten furder übels vor dem HERRN. Da starkte der HERR Eglon, den Konig der Moabiter, wider Israel, darum daß sie libels taten vor dem HERRN.

Y tornaron los hijos de Israel á hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová esforzó á Eglón rey de Moab contra Israel, por cuanto habían hecho lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová.

And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.

Und sammelte zu ihm die Kinder Ammon und die Amalekiter. Und er zog hin und schlug Israel und nahm ein die Palmenstadt.

But when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab.

But when the children of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a savior for them: Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man. The children of Israel sent tribute by him to Eglon the king of Moab.

machte ihm Ehud ein zweischneidig Schwert einer Elle lang und gürtete es unter sein Kleid auf seine rechte Hüfte;

Y Aod se había hecho un puñal de dos filos, de un codo de largo; y ciñósele debajo de sus vestidos á su lado derecho.

But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh.

und brachte das Geschenk dem Eglon, der Moabiter Konige. Eglon aber war ein sehr fetter Mann.

Y presentó el presente á Eglón rey de Moab; y era Eglón hombre muy grueso.

And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man.

He offered the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. Now Eglon was a very fat man.

Und da erdas Geschenk hatte uberantwortet, liefi er das Volk, die das Geschenk getragen hatten,

Y luego que hubo presentado el don, despidió á la gente que lo había traído.

And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present.

When Ehud had finished offering the tribute, he sent away the people who carried the tribute.

und kehrete urn von den Gotzen zu Gilgal und lieli ansagen: Ich habe, o Konig, dir was Heimliches zu sagen. Er aber hiefi schweigen, und gingen aus von ihm alle, die urn ihn stunden.

Mas él se volvió desde los ídolos que están en Gilgal, y dijo: Rey, una palabra secreta tengo que decirte. El entonces dijo: Calla. Y saliéronse de con él todos los que delante de él estaban.

But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him.

But he himself turned back from the stone idols that were by Gilgal, and said, “I have a secret message for you, O king.” The king said, “Keep silence!” All who stood by him left him.

Und Ehud kam zu ihm hinein. Er aber sa(i in der Sommerlaube, die fur ihn allein war. Und Ehud sprach: Ich habe Gottes Wort an dich. Da stund er auf vom Stuhl.

Y llegóse Aod á él, el cual estaba sentado solo en una sala de verano. Y Aod dijo: Tengo palabra de Dios para ti. El entonces se levantó de la silla.

And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat.

Ehud came to him; and he was sitting by himself alone in the cool upper room. Ehud said, “I have a message from God to you.” He arose out of his seat.

Ehud aber reckte seine linke Hand aus und nahm das Schwert von seiner rechten Hüfte und stieli es ihm in seinen Bauch,

Mas Aod metió su mano izquierda, y tomó el puñal de su lado derecho, y metióselo por el vientre;

And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly:

Ehud put out his left hand, and took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into his body.

daß auch das Heft der Schneide nach hineinfuhr, und das Fett das Heft verschloli (denn er zog das Schwert nicht aus seinem Bauch), daß der Mist von ihm ging.

De tal manera que la empuñadura entró también tras la hoja, y la grosura encerró la hoja, que él no sacó el puñal de su vientre: y salió el estiércol.

And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out.

The handle also went in after the blade; and the fat closed on the blade, for he didn’t draw the sword out of his body; and it came out behind.

Aber Ehud ging den Saal hinaus und tat die Tür hinter ihm zu und verschloli sie.

Y saliendo Aod al patio, cerró tras sí las puertas de la sala.

Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them.

Da er nun hinaus war, kamen seine Knechte hinein und sahen, daß die Tür der Sommerlaube verschlossen war, und sprachen: Er ist vielleicht zu Stuhl gegangen in der Kammer an der Sommerlaube.

Y salido él, vinieron sus siervos, los cuales viendo las puertas de la sala cerradas, dijeron: Sin duda él cubre sus pies en la sala de verano.

When he was gone out, his servants came; and when they saw that, behold, the doors of the parlour were locked, they said, Surely he covereth his feet in his summer chamber.

After he had gone, his servants came and saw that the doors of the upper room were locked. They said, “Surely he is covering his feet in the upper room.”

Da sie aber so lange harreten, bis sie sich schameten (denn niemand tat die Tür der Laube auf), nahmen sie den Schlüssel und schlossen auf; siehe, da lag ihr Herr auf der Erde tot.

Y habiendo esperado hasta estar confusos, pues que él no abría las puertas de la sala, tomaron la llave y abrieron: y he aquí su señor caído en tierra muerto.

And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.

They waited until they were ashamed; and behold, he didn’t open the doors of the upper room. Therefore they took the key and opened them, and behold, their lord had fallen down dead on the floor.

Ehud aber war entronnen, dieweil sie verzogen, und ging vor den Gotzen über und entrann bis gen Seirath.

Mas entre tanto que ellos se detuvieron, Aod se escapó, y pasando los ídolos, salvóse en Seirath.

And Ehud escaped while they tarried, and passed beyond the quarries, and escaped unto Seirath.

Und da er hineinkam, blies er die Posaune auf dem Gebirge Ephraim. Und die Kinder Israel zogen mit ihm vom Gebirge, und er vor ihnen her;

Y como hubo entrado, tocó el cuerno en el monte de Ephraim, y los hijos de Israel descendieron con él del monte, y él iba delante de ellos.

And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Ephraim, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them.

und sprach zu ihnen: Jaget mir nach; denn der HERR hat euch die Moabiter, eure Feinde, in eure Hande gegeben. Und sie jagten ihm nach und gewannen die Furt am Jordan ein, die gen Moab gehet, und liefien niemand hinübergehen.

Entonces él les dijo: Seguidme, porque Jehová ha entregado vuestros enemigos los Moabitas en vuestras manos. Y descendieron en pos de él, y tomaron los vados del Jordán á Moab, y no dejaron pasar á ninguno.

And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.

He said to them, “Follow me; for the LORD has delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand.” They followed him, and took the fords of the Jordan against the Moabites, and didn’t allow any man to pass over.

Und schlugen die Moabiter zu der Zeit, bei zehntausend Mann, allzumal die besten und streitbare Manner, daß nicht einer entrann.

Y en aquel tiempo hirieron de los Moabitas como diez mil hombres, todos valientes y todos hombres de guerra; no escapó hombre.

And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.

They struck at that time about ten thousand men of Moab, every strong man and every man of valor. No man escaped.

Also wurden die Moabiter zu der Zeit unter die Hand der Kinder Israel gedampfet. Und das Land war stille achtzig Jahre.

Así quedó Moab sojuzgado aquel día bajo la mano de Israel: y reposó la tierra ochenta años.

So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.

Danach war Samgar, der Sohn Anaths; der schlug sechshundert Philister mit einem Ochsenstecken und erlosete auch Israel.
