Y AQUEL día cantó Débora, con Barac, hijo de Abinoam, diciendo:

Porque ha vengado las injurias de Israel, porque el pueblo se ha ofrecido de su voluntad, load á Jehová.
Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.
“Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, LORD!
¡Oh Señor!, cuando saliste de Seir, y pasaste por las regiones de Edón, se estremeció la tierra, y los cielos y las nubes se disolvieron en aguas.
Oid, reyes; estad, oh príncipes, atentos: yo cantaré á Jehová, cantaré salmos á Jehová Dios de Israel.
Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.

Los montes se liquidaron a la vista del Señor, como el monte Sinaí , delante del Señor Dios de Israel.
Cuando saliste de Seir, oh Jehová, cuando te apartaste del campo de Edom, la tierra tembló, y los cielos destilaron, y las nubes gotearon aguas.

En los días de Samgar, hijo de Anat, en los días de Jahel estaban desiertos los caminos; y los que tenían que viajar, andaban por veredas tortuosas o extraviadas.
Los montes se derritieron delante de Jehová, aqueste Sinaí, delante de Jehová Dios de Israel.
The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

Se habían acabado en Israel los valientes, habían desaparecido, hasta que Débora levantó la cabeza y se dejó ver como una madre para Israel.
En los días de Samgar hijo de Anath, en los días de Jael, cesaron los caminos, y los que andaban por las sendas apartábanse por torcidos senderos.

Se han salvado las reliquias del pueblo de Dios; el Señor ha combatido al frente de los valientes.

Se sirvió de uno de la tribu de Efraín para derrotar a los cananeos en la persona de los amalecitas: después se sirvió de una de la tribu de Benjamín contra tus pueblos, ¡oh Amalec! De Maquir, primogénito de Manasés, descendieron los príncipes, y de Zabulón los que han capitaneado hoy el ejército para combatir.
Entonces ha hecho que el que quedó del pueblo, señoree á los magníficos: Jehová me hizo enseñorear sobre los fuertes.

También los caudillos de Isacar han ido con Débora y seguido las pisadas de Barac; el cual se ha arrojado a los peligros, dejándose caer sobre el enemigo como quien se despeña a una sima. Mas dividido entonces Rubén en partidos contra sí mismos, se suscitaron discordias entre sus valientes.
De Ephraim salió su raíz contra Amalec tras ti, Benjamín, contra tus pueblos; de Machîr descendieron príncipes, y de Zabulón los que solían manejar punzón de escribiente.
Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
Those whose root is in Amalek came out of Ephraim, after you, Benjamin, among your peoples. Governors come down out of Machir. Those who handle the marshal’s staff came out of Zebulun.
¿Por qué te estás ahí quieto, ¡oh Rubén!, entre los dos términos de Israel y de sus enemigos oyendo los balidos de tus rebaños? Pero dividido Rubén en partidos contra sí mismos, sus valientes sólo se ocuparon en disputar entre sí.
Príncipes también de Issachâr fueron con Débora; y como Issachâr, también Barac se puso á pie en el valle. De las divisiones de Rubén hubo grandes impresiones del corazón.
And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: he was sent on foot into the valley. For the divisions of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.
The princes of Issachar were with Deborah. As was Issachar, so was Barak. They rushed into the valley at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.
Los de Galaad estaban en reposo a la otra parte del Jordán; y Dan atendía a sus navíos y comercio: lo mismo que Aser que habitaba en la costa del mar, y se mantenía en sus puertos.
¿Por qué te quedaste entre las majadas, para oir los balidos de los rebaños? De las divisiones de Rubén grandes fueron las disquisiciones del corazón.
Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? For the divisions of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.

Empero Zabulón y Neftalí fueron a exponer sus vidas en el país de Merome.
Galaad se quedó de la otra parte del Jordán: y Dan ¿por qué se estuvo junto á los navíos? Mantúvose Aser á la ribera de la mar, y quedóse en sus puertos.
Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.

Vinieron los reyes enemigos y pelearon contra ellos: los reyes de Canaán pelearon contra Israel en Tanac, junto a las aguas del Mageddo; mas no pudieron llevar presa ninguna.
El pueblo de Zabulón expuso su vida á la muerte, y Nephtalí en las alturas del campo.
Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

Desde el cielo se hizo guerra contra ellos: las estrellas permaneciendo en su orden y curso, pelearon contra Sísara.
Vinieron reyes y pelearon: entonces pelearon los reyes de Canaán en Taanac, junto á las aguas de Megiddo, mas no llevaron ganancia alguna de dinero.
The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

El torrente de Cisón arrastró sus cadáveres, el torrente de Cadumín, el torrente de Cisón. ¡Huella, oh alma mía, a los orgullosos campeones!
De los cielos pelearon: las estrellas desde sus órbitas pelearon contra Sísara.
They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

Se les saltaron a sus caballos las uñas de los pies con la impetuosidad de la huida, cayendo por los precipicios los más valientes de los enemigos.
Barriólos el torrente de Cisón, el antiguo torrente, el torrente de Cisón. Hollaste, oh alma mía, con fortaleza.

Maldecid a la tierra de Meroz, dijo el ángel del Señor: maldecid a sus habitantes, pues no quisieron venir al socorro del pueblo del Señor, a ayudar a sus más esforzados guerreros.
Despalmáronse entonces las uñas de los caballos por las arremetidas, por los brincos de sus valientes.
Then were the horsehoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

¡Bendita entre todas las mujeres Jahel, esposa de Haber, cineo, bendita sea en su pabellón!
Maldecid á Meroz, dijo el ángel de Jehová: maldecid severamente á sus moradores, porque no vinieron en socorro á Jehová, en socorro á Jehová contra los fuertes.
Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

Le pidió Sísara agua, y le dio leche, y en taza de príncipes le ofreció la nata.

Con la izquierda cogió un clavo, y con la diestra un martillo de obreros, y mirando donde heriría a Sísara en la cabeza, le dio el golpe y le taladró con gran fuerza las sienes.
El pidió agua, y dióle ella leche; en tazón de nobles le presentó manteca.
He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

Cayó Sísara entre los pies de Jahel, perdió las fuerzas, y expiró después de haberse revolcado por el suelo delante de Jahel, quedando tendido en tierra, exánime y miserable.
Su mano tendió á la estaca, y su diestra al mazo de trabajadores; y majó á Sísara, hirió su cabeza, llagó y atravesó sus sienes.
She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

Mientras esto pasaba estaba mirando la madre de Sísara desde la ventana y daba voces, diciendo desde su cuarto: ¿Cómo tarda tanto en volver su carro? ¿Cómo son tan pesados los pies de sus cuatro caballos?
Cayó encorvado entre sus pies, quedó tendido: entre sus pies cayó encorvado; donde se encorvó, allí cayó muerto.

La más discreta entre las mujeres de Sísara, respondió así a la suegra:
La madre de Sísara se asoma á la ventana, y por entre las celosías á voces dice: ¿Por qué se detiene su carro, que no viene? ¿por qué las ruedas de sus carros se tardan?
The mother of Sisera looked out at a window, and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? why tarry the wheels of his chariots?
“Through the window she looked out, and cried: Sisera’s mother looked through the lattice. ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait?’
Quizá está ahora repartiendo los despojos, y se está escogiendo para él la más hermosa de las cautivas; se separan de entre todo el botín ropas de diversos colores para Sísara, y variedad de joyas para adorno de los cuellos.
Las más avisadas de sus damas le respondían; y aun ella se respondía á sí misma.

Perezcan, Señor, como Sísara todos tus enemigos: y brillen como el sol en su oriente los que te aman.
¿No han hallado despojos, y los están repartiendo? á cada uno una moza, ó dos: los despojos de colores para Sísara, los despojos bordados de colores: la ropa de color bordada de ambos lados, para los cuellos de los que han tomado los despojos.

‘Have they not found, have they not divided the plunder? A lady, two ladies to every man; to Sisera a plunder of dyed garments, a plunder of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the plunder?’
Estuvo después todo el país en paz cuarenta años.
Así perezcan todos tus enemigos, oh Jehová: mas los que le aman, sean como el sol cuando nace en su fuerza. Y la tierra reposó cuarenta años.
So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
