ORA i figliuoli d'Israele fecero ciò che dispiace al Signore: e il Signore li diede nelle mani de' Madianiti per sette anni.

MAS los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová los entregó en las manos de Madián por siete años.

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, so the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

E la mano de' Madianiti si rinforzò contro ad Israele; laonde i figliuoli d'Israele si fecero quelle grotte che son ne' monti; e delle spelonche e delle rocche, per tema de' Madianiti.

Y la mano de Madián prevaleció contra Israel. Y los hijos de Israel, por causa de los Madianitas, se hicieron cuevas en los montes, y cavernas, y lugares fuertes.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

E, quando Israele avea seminato, i Madianiti, e gli Amalechiti, e gli Orientali, salivano contro a lui.

And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

E, fatto campo sopra gl'Israeliti, guastavano i frutti della terra fino a Gaza; e non lasciavano in Israele nè vittuaglia, nè pecore, nè buoi, nè asini.

Y asentando campo contra ellos destruían los frutos de la tierra, hasta llegar á Gaza; y no dejaban qué comer en Israel, ni ovejas, ni bueyes, ni asnos.

And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

Perciocchè salivano con le lor gregge, e co' lor padiglioni, e venivano come locuste in moltitudine; ed erano innumerabili, essi e i lor cammelli; e venivano nel paese per guastarlo.

Porque subían ellos y sus ganados, y venían con sus tiendas en grande multitud como langosta, que no había número en ellos ni en sus camellos: así venían á la tierra para devastarla.

Israele adunque impoverì grandemente, per cagion de' Madianiti; laonde i figliuoli d'Israele gridarono al Signore.

Era pues Israel en gran manera empobrecido por los Madianitas; y los hijos de Israel clamaron á Jehová.

And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

E avvenne che, quando i figliuoli di Israele ebbero gridato al Signore, per cagion de' Madianiti,

Y cuando los hijos de Israel hubieron clamado á Jehová, á causa de los Madianitas,

And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,

il Signore mandò loro un uomo profeta, il qual disse loro: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio d'Israele: Io vi ho fatti salire fuor di Egitto, e vi ho tratti fuor della casa di servitù;

Jehová envió un varón profeta á los hijos de Israel, el cual les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo os hice salir de Egipto, y os saqué de la casa de servidumbre:

That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

The LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel; and he said to them, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of bondage.

e vi ho riscossi dalla mano degli Egizj, e dalla mano di tutti coloro che vi oppressavano; e li ho scacciati d'innanzi a voi, e vi ho dato il lor paese.

Yo os libré de mano de los Egipcios, y de mano de todos los que os afligieron, á los cuales eché de delante de vosotros, y os dí su tierra;

And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;

Or io vi avea detto: Io sono il Signore Iddio vostro; non temiate gl'iddii degli Amorrei, nel cui paese voi abitate; ma voi non avete ubbidito alla mia voce.

Y díjeos: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios; no temáis á los dioses de los Amorrheos, en cuya tierra habitáis: mas no habéis obedecido á mi voz.

And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.

I said to you, “I am the LORD your God. You shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.” But you have not listened to my voice.’”

Poi l'Angelo del Signore venne, e si pose a sedere sotto la quercia ch'è in Ofra, il qual luogo era di Ioas Abiezerita. E Gedeone, figliuolo di esso, batteva il grano nel torchio, per salvarlo d'innanzi a' Madianiti.

Y vino el ángel de Jehová, y sentóse debajo del alcornoque que está en Ophra, el cual era de Joas Abiezerita; y su hijo Gedeón estaba sacudiendo el trigo en el lagar, para hacerlo esconder de los Madianitas.

And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

The LORD’s angel came and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.

E l'Angelo del Signore gli apparve, e gli disse: Il Signore sia teco, valent'uomo.

Y el ángel de Jehová se le apareció, y díjole: Jehová es contigo, varón esforzado.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

The LORD’s angel appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

E Gedeone gli disse: Ahi! Signor mio; come è possibile che il Signore sia con noi? perchè dunque ci sarebbero avvenute tutte queste cose? E dove son tutte le sue maraviglie, le quali i nostri padri ci hanno raccontate, dicendo: Il Signore non ci ha egli tratti fuor di Egitto? ma ora il Signore ci ha abbandonati, e ci ha dati nelle mani de' Madianiti.

Y Gedeón le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, si Jehová es con nosotros, ¿por qué nos ha sobrevenido todo esto? ¿Y dónde están todas sus maravillas, que nuestros padres nos han contado, diciendo: ¿No nos sacó Jehová de Egipto? Y ahora Jehová nos ha desamparado, y nos ha entregado en mano de los Madianitas.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Gideon said to him, “Oh, my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, ‘Didn’t the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.”

E il Signore riguardò verso lui, e gli disse: Vai con cotesta tua forza, e tu salverai Israele dalla mano de' Madianiti: non t'ho io mandato?

Y mirándole Jehová, díjole: Ve con esta tu fortaleza, y salvarás á Israel de la mano de los Madianitas. ¿No te envío yo?

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

The LORD looked at him, and said, “Go in this your might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Haven’t I sent you?”

Ma egli gli disse: Ahi! Signor mio; con che salverei io Israele? ecco, il mio migliaio è il più misero di Manasse, ed io sono il minimo della casa di mio padre.

Entonces le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, ¿con qué tengo de salvar á Israel? He aquí que mi familia es pobre en Manasés, y yo el menor en la casa de mi padre.

And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

He said to him, “O Lord, how shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

E il Signore gli disse: Perciocchè io sarò teco, e tu percoterai i Madianiti, come se fossero un uomo solo.

Y Jehová le dijo: Porque yo seré contigo, y herirás á los Madianitas como á un solo hombre.

And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

The LORD said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

E Gedeone gli disse: Deh! se io ho trovata grazia appo te, dammi un segno che tu sei desso, tu che parli meco.

Y él respondió: Yo te ruego, que si he hallado gracia delante de ti, me des señal de que tú has hablado conmigo.

And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

He said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.

Deh! non moverti di qui, finch'io venga a te, e ti rechi il mio presente, e te lo metta davanti. Ed egli gli disse: Io rimarrò qui, finchè tu ritorni.

Ruégote que no te vayas de aquí, hasta que á ti vuelva, y saque mi presente, y lo ponga delante de ti. Y él respondió: Yo esperaré hasta que vuelvas.

Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.

Please don’t go away until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you.” He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

Gedeone adunque entrò in casa, e apparecchiò un capretto, e fece de' pani azzimi d'un efa di farina; poi mise la carne in un canestro, e il brodo in una pentola, e gliel recò sotto la quercia, e gliel presentò.

Y entrándose Gedeón aderezó un cabrito, y panes sin levadura de un epha de harina; y puso la carne en un canastillo, y el caldo en una olla, y sacándolo presentóselo debajo de aquel alcornoque.

And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.

Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal. He put the meat in a basket and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.

E l'Angelo del Signore gli disse: Piglia questa carne, e questi pani azzimi, e posali in su quel sasso, e spandi il brodo.

Y el ángel de Dios le dijo: Toma la carne, y los panes sin levadura, y ponlo sobre esta peña, y vierte el caldo. Y él lo hizo así.

And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.

The angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” He did so.

Ed egli fece così. Allora l'Angelo del Signore distese il bastone ch'egli avea in mano, e toccò con la cima di esso la carne e i pani azzimi; ed ei salì del fuoco dal sasso, che consumò la carne e i pani azzimi. E l'Angelo del Signore se ne andò via dal cospetto di esso.

Y extendiendo el ángel de Jehová el bordón que tenía en su mano, tocó con la punta en la carne y en los panes sin levadura; y subió fuego de la peña, el cual consumió la carne y los panes sin levadura. Y el ángel de Jehová desapareció de delante de él.

Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.

Then the LORD’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then the LORD’s angel departed out of his sight.

E Gedeone, avendo veduto ch'egli era l'Angelo del Signore, disse: Oimè! Signore Iddio; è egli per questo, ch'io ho veduto l'Angelo del Signore, a faccia a faccia?

Y viendo Gedeón que era el ángel de Jehová, dijo: Ah, Señor Jehová, que he visto el ángel de Jehová cara á cara.

And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

Gideon saw that he was the LORD’s angel; and Gideon said, “Alas, Lord GOD! Because I have seen the LORD’s angel face to face!”

Ma il Signore gli disse: Abbi pace; non temere, tu non morrai.

Y Jehová le dijo: Paz á ti; no tengas temor, no morirás.

And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.

The LORD said to him, “Peace be to you! Don’t be afraid. You shall not die.”

E Gedeone edificò un altare al Signore, e lo nominò: La pace è del Signore; il qual resta fino ad oggi in Ofra degli Abiezeriti.

Y edificó allí Gedeón altar á Jehová, al que llamó Jehová-salom: está hasta hoy en Ophra de los Abiezeritas.

Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.

Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it “The LORD is Peace.” To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

E in quella stessa notte il Signore gli disse: Prendi il giovenco di tuo padre, e il secondo bue di sette anni; e disfai l'altare di Baal, che è di tuo padre, e taglia il bosco che gli è appresso.

Y aconteció que la misma noche le dijo Jehová: Toma un toro del hato de tu padre, y otro toro de siete años, y derriba el altar de Baal que tu padre tiene, y corta también el bosque que está junto á él:

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

That same night, the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s bull, even the second bull seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is by it.

Ed edifica un altare al Signore Iddio tuo in su la cima di questa rocca, nell'istesso luogo ove tu avevi posto l'apparecchio di quelle vivande; poi prendi quel secondo bue, e offeriscilo in olocausto con le legne del bosco che tu avrai tagliato.

Y edifica altar á Jehová tu Dios en la cumbre de este peñasco en lugar conveniente; y tomando el segundo toro, sacrifícalo en holocausto sobre la leña del bosque que habrás cortado.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

Then build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this stronghold, in an orderly way, and take the second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”

Gedeone adunque prese seco dieci uomini, d'infra i suoi servitori, e fece così, come il Signore gli avea detto; e, temendo di farlo di giorno, per cagion della casa di suo padre, e degli uomini della città, lo fece di notte.

Entonces Gedeón tomó diez hombres de sus siervos, é hizo como Jehová le dijo. Mas temiendo hacerlo de día, por la familia de su padre y por los hombres de la ciudad, hízolo de noche.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had spoken to him. Because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city, he could not do it by day, but he did it by night.

Ed essendosi gli uomini della città levati la mattina, ecco, l'altare di Baal era stato disfatto, e il bosco che gli era appresso era stato tagliato, e quel secondo bue era stato offerto sopra l'altare ch'era stato edificato.

Y á la mañana, cuando los de la ciudad se levantaron, he aquí que el altar de Baal estaba derribado, y cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba, y sacrificado aquel segundo toro en holocausto sobre el altar edificado.

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

Ed essi dissero l'uno all'altro: Chi ha fatto questo? E avendone domandato, e ricercato, fu detto: Gedeone, figliuol di Ioas, ha fatto questo.

Y decíanse unos á otros: ¿Quién ha hecho esto? Y buscando é inquiriendo, dijéronles: Gedeón hijo de Joas lo ha hecho. Entonces los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Joas:

And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

They said to one another, “Who has done this thing?” When they inquired and asked, they said, “Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.”

E gli uomini della città dissero a Ioas: Mena fuori il tuo figliuolo, e sia fatto morire; conciossiachè egli abbia disfatto l'altare di Baal, ed abbia tagliato il bosco che gli era appresso.

Saca fuera tu hijo para que muera, por cuanto ha derribado el altar de Baal y ha cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba.

Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

Then the men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has broken down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the Asherah that was by it.”

Ma Ioas disse a tutti i circostanti: Volete voi difender la causa di Baal? lo volete voi salvare? chi difenderà la sua causa sarà fatto morire, mentre è ancor mattina. Se egli è dio, contenda con Gedeone, poich'egli ha disfatto il suo altare.

Y Joas respondió á todos los que estaban junto á él: ¿Tomaréis vosotros la demanda por Baal? ¿le salvaréis vosotros? Cualquiera que tomare la demanda por él, que muera mañana. Si es Dios, contienda por sí mismo con el que derribó su altar.

And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

Joash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? He who will contend for him, let him be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has broken down his altar!”

E in quel giorno Ioas pose nome Ierubbaal a Gedeone, dicendo: Contenda Baal con lui, poich'egli ha disfatto il suo altare.

Y aquel día llamó él á Gedeón Jerobaal; porque dijo: Pleitee Baal contra el que derribó su altar.

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

Therefore on that day he named him Jerub-Baal, saying, “Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar.”

Or tutti i Madianiti, e gli Amalechiti, e gli Orientali, adunatisi insieme, passarono il Giordano, e si accamparono nella valle d'Izreel.

Y todos los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y orientales, se juntaron á una, y pasando asentaron campo en el valle de Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east assembled themselves together; and they passed over, and encamped in the valley of Jezreel.

E lo Spirito del Signore investì Gedeone, ed egli sonò con la tromba; e gli Abiezeriti furono adunati a grida, per seguitarlo.

Y el espíritu de Jehová se envistió en Gedeón, y como éste hubo tocado el cuerno, Abiezer se juntó con él.

But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him.

But the LORD’s Spirit came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered together to follow him.

Egli mandò ancora de' messi per tutto Manasse; ed esso ancora fu adunato a grida per seguitarlo: mandò anche de' messi in Aser, e in Zabulon, e in Neftali; ed essi salirono ad incontrar quegli altri.

Y envió mensajeros por todo Manasés, el cual también se juntó con él: asimismo envió mensajeros á Aser, y á Zabulón, y á Nephtalí, los cuales salieron á encontrarles.

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

E Gedeone disse a Dio: Se pur tu vuoi salvar Israele per la mia mano, come tu hai detto,

Y Gedeón dijo á Dios: Si has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como has dicho,

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken,

ecco, io porrò in su l'aia un vello di lana; se la rugiada è in sul vello solo, e tutta la terra è asciutta, io conoscerò che tu salverai Israele per la mia mano, come tu hai detto.

He aquí que yo pondré un vellón de lana en la era; y si el rocío estuviere en el vellón solamente, quedando seca toda la otra tierra, entonces entenderé que has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como lo has dicho.

Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I’ll know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken.”

Ed egli avvenne così. Ed egli si levò la mattina seguente, e stringendo il vello, spremè della rugiada una piena coppa d'acqua.

Y aconteció así: porque como se levantó de mañana, exprimiendo el vellón sacó de él el rocío, un vaso lleno de agua.

And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

E Gedeone disse a Dio: L'ira tua non si accenda contro a me, ed io parlerò ancora sol questa volta; deh! permetti ch'io faccia ancora questa sola volta prova col vello; deh! sia il vello solo asciutto, e sia la rugiada sopra tutta la terra.

Mas Gedeón dijo á Dios: No se encienda tu ira contra mí, si aun hablare esta vez: solamente probaré ahora otra vez con el vellón. Ruégote que la sequedad sea sólo en el vellón, y el rocío sobre la tierra.

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Gideon said to God, “Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”

E Iddio fece così in quella notte; e il vello solo fu asciutto, e la rugiada fu sopra tutta la terra.

Y aquella noche lo hizo Dios así: porque la sequedad fué sólo en el vellón, y en toda la tierra estuvo el rocío.

And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
