Und da der Midianiter Hand zu stark ward über Israel, machten die Kinder Israel für sich Klüfte in den Gebirgen und Höhlen und Festungen.

MAS los hijos de Israel hicieron lo malo en los ojos de Jehová; y Jehová los entregó en las manos de Madián por siete años.

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, so the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Und wenn Israel etwas säete, so kamen die Midianiter und Amalekiter und die aus dem Morgenlande herauf über sie;

Y la mano de Madián prevaleció contra Israel. Y los hijos de Israel, por causa de los Madianitas, se hicieron cuevas en los montes, y cavernas, y lugares fuertes.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

und lagerten sich wider sie und verderbeten das Gewächs auf dem Lande bis hinan gen Gaza; und ließen nichts übriges von Nahrung in Israel, weder Schaf noch Ochsen noch Esel.

Pues como los de Israel habían sembrado, subían los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y los orientales: subían contra ellos;

And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

Denn sie kamen herauf mit ihrem Vieh und Hütten, wie eine große Menge Heuschrecken, daß weder sie noch ihre Kamele zu zählen waren; und fielen ins Land, daß sie es verderbeten.

Y asentando campo contra ellos destruían los frutos de la tierra, hasta llegar á Gaza; y no dejaban qué comer en Israel, ni ovejas, ni bueyes, ni asnos.

And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

Also ward Israel sehr geringe vor den Midianitern. Da schrieen die Kinder Israel zu dem HErrn.

Porque subían ellos y sus ganados, y venían con sus tiendas en grande multitud como langosta, que no había número en ellos ni en sus camellos: así venían á la tierra para devastarla.

For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.

Als sie aber zu dem HErrn schrieen um der Midianiter willen,

Era pues Israel en gran manera empobrecido por los Madianitas; y los hijos de Israel clamaron á Jehová.

And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

Israel was brought very low because of Midian; and the children of Israel cried to the LORD.

sandte der HErr einen Propheten zu ihnen, der sprach zu ihnen: So spricht der HErr, der GOtt Israels: Ich habe euch aus Ägypten geführet und aus dem Diensthause gebracht;

Y cuando los hijos de Israel hubieron clamado á Jehová, á causa de los Madianitas,

And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites,

When the children of Israel cried to the LORD because of Midian,

und habe euch errettet von der Ägypter Hand und von aller Hand, die euch drängeten, und habe sie vor euch ausgestoßen und ihr Land euch gegeben;

Jehová envió un varón profeta á los hijos de Israel, el cual les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Yo os hice salir de Egipto, y os saqué de la casa de servidumbre:

That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

The LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel; and he said to them, “The LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you out of the house of bondage.

und sprach zu euch: Ich bin der HErr, euer GOtt; fürchtet nicht der Amoriter Götter, in welcher Lande ihr wohnet. Und ihr habt meiner Stimme nicht gehorchet.

Yo os libré de mano de los Egipcios, y de mano de todos los que os afligieron, á los cuales eché de delante de vosotros, y os dí su tierra;

And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;

Und ein Engel des HErrn kam und setzte sich unter eine Eiche zu Ophra, die war Joas', des Vaters der Esriter, und sein Sohn Gideon drosch Weizen an der Kelter, daß er flöhe vor den Midianitern.

Y díjeos: Yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios; no temáis á los dioses de los Amorrheos, en cuya tierra habitáis: mas no habéis obedecido á mi voz.

And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.

I said to you, “I am the LORD your God. You shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.” But you have not listened to my voice.’”

Da erschien ihm der Engel des HErrn und sprach zu ihm: Der HErr mit dir, du streitbarer Held!

Y vino el ángel de Jehová, y sentóse debajo del alcornoque que está en Ophra, el cual era de Joas Abiezerita; y su hijo Gedeón estaba sacudiendo el trigo en el lagar, para hacerlo esconder de los Madianitas.

And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.

The LORD’s angel came and sat under the oak which was in Ophrah, that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was beating out wheat in the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.

Gideon aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, ist der HErr mit uns, warum ist uns denn solches alles widerfahren? Und wo sind alle seine Wunder, die uns unsere Väter erzähleten und sprachen: Der HErr hat uns aus Ägypten geführet? Nun aber hat uns der HErr verlassen und unter der Midianiter Hände gegeben.

Y el ángel de Jehová se le apareció, y díjole: Jehová es contigo, varón esforzado.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

The LORD’s angel appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Der HErr aber wandte sich zu ihm und sprach: Gehe hin in dieser deiner Kraft; du sollst Israel erlösen aus der Midianiter Händen. Siehe, ich habe dich gesandt.

Y Gedeón le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, si Jehová es con nosotros, ¿por qué nos ha sobrevenido todo esto? ¿Y dónde están todas sus maravillas, que nuestros padres nos han contado, diciendo: ¿No nos sacó Jehová de Egipto? Y ahora Jehová nos ha desamparado, y nos ha entregado en mano de los Madianitas.

And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Gideon said to him, “Oh, my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? Where are all his wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying, ‘Didn’t the LORD bring us up from Egypt?’ But now the LORD has cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.”

Er aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, womit soll ich Israel erlösen? Siehe, meine Freundschaft ist die geringste in Manasse und ich bin der Kleinste in meines Vaters Hause.

Y mirándole Jehová, díjole: Ve con esta tu fortaleza, y salvarás á Israel de la mano de los Madianitas. ¿No te envío yo?

And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?

The LORD looked at him, and said, “Go in this your might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian. Haven’t I sent you?”

Der HErr aber sprach zu ihm: Ich will mit dir sein, daß du die Midianiter schlagen sollst wie einen einzelnen Mann.

Entonces le respondió: Ah, Señor mío, ¿con qué tengo de salvar á Israel? He aquí que mi familia es pobre en Manasés, y yo el menor en la casa de mi padre.

And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.

He said to him, “O Lord, how shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

Er aber sprach zu ihm: Lieber, habe ich Gnade vor dir funden, so mache mir ein Zeichen, daß du es seiest, der mit mir redet.

Y Jehová le dijo: Porque yo seré contigo, y herirás á los Madianitas como á un solo hombre.

And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

The LORD said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

Weiche nicht, bis ich zu dir komme und bringe mein Speisopfer, das ich vor dir lasse. Er sprach: Ich will bleiben, bis daß du wiederkommest.

Y él respondió: Yo te ruego, que si he hallado gracia delante de ti, me des señal de que tú has hablado conmigo.

And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

He said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, then show me a sign that it is you who talk with me.

Und Gideon kam und schlachtete ein Ziegenböcklein; und nahm ein Epha ungesäuerten Mehls und legte Fleisch in einen Korb und tat die Brühe in einen Topf; und brachte es zu ihm heraus unter die Eiche und trat herzu.

Ruégote que no te vayas de aquí, hasta que á ti vuelva, y saque mi presente, y lo ponga delante de ti. Y él respondió: Yo esperaré hasta que vuelvas.

Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.

Please don’t go away until I come to you, and bring out my present, and lay it before you.” He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

Aber der Engel GOttes sprach zu ihm: Nimm das Fleisch und das Ungesäuerte und laß es auf dem Fels, der hie ist, und geuß die Brühe aus. Und er tat also.

Y entrándose Gedeón aderezó un cabrito, y panes sin levadura de un epha de harina; y puso la carne en un canastillo, y el caldo en una olla, y sacándolo presentóselo debajo de aquel alcornoque.

And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.

Gideon went in and prepared a young goat and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal. He put the meat in a basket and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.

Da reckte der Engel des HErrn den Stecken aus, den er in der Hand hatte, und rührete mit der Spitze das Fleisch und das ungesäuerte Mehl an. Und das Feuer fuhr aus dem Fels und verzehrete das Fleisch und das ungesäuerte Mehl. Und der Engel des HErrn verschwand aus seinen Augen.

Y el ángel de Dios le dijo: Toma la carne, y los panes sin levadura, y ponlo sobre esta peña, y vierte el caldo. Y él lo hizo así.

And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.

The angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” He did so.

Da nun Gideon sah, daß es ein Engel des HErrn war, sprach er: O HErr, HErr, habe ich also einen Engel des HErrn von Angesicht gesehen?

Y extendiendo el ángel de Jehová el bordón que tenía en su mano, tocó con la punta en la carne y en los panes sin levadura; y subió fuego de la peña, el cual consumió la carne y los panes sin levadura. Y el ángel de Jehová desapareció de delante de él.

Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.

Then the LORD’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then the LORD’s angel departed out of his sight.

Aber der HErr sprach zu ihm: Friede sei mit dir! Fürchte dich nicht; du wirst nicht sterben.

Y viendo Gedeón que era el ángel de Jehová, dijo: Ah, Señor Jehová, que he visto el ángel de Jehová cara á cara.

And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

Gideon saw that he was the LORD’s angel; and Gideon said, “Alas, Lord GOD! Because I have seen the LORD’s angel face to face!”

Da bauete Gideon daselbst dem HErrn einen Altar; und hieß ihn: Der HErr des Friedens. Der stehet noch bis auf den heutigen Tag zu Ophra, des Vaters der Esriter.

Y Jehová le dijo: Paz á ti; no tengas temor, no morirás.

And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.

The LORD said to him, “Peace be to you! Don’t be afraid. You shall not die.”

Und in derselben Nacht sprach der HErr zu ihm: Nimm einen Farren unter den Ochsen, die deines Vaters sind, und einen andern Farren, der siebenjährig ist, und zerbrich den Altar Baals, der deines Vaters ist, und haue ab den Hain, der dabei stehet;

Y edificó allí Gedeón altar á Jehová, al que llamó Jehová-salom: está hasta hoy en Ophra de los Abiezeritas.

Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.

Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it “The LORD is Peace.” To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

und baue dem HErrn, deinem GOtt, oben auf der Höhe dieses Felsen einen Altar und rüste ihn zu; und nimm den andern Farren und opfre ein Brandopfer mit dem Holz des Hains, den du abgehauen hast.

Y aconteció que la misma noche le dijo Jehová: Toma un toro del hato de tu padre, y otro toro de siete años, y derriba el altar de Baal que tu padre tiene, y corta también el bosque que está junto á él:

And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

That same night, the LORD said to him, “Take your father’s bull, even the second bull seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the Asherah that is by it.

Da nahm Gideon zehn Männer aus seinen Knechten und tat, wie ihm der HErr gesagt hatte. Aber er fürchtete sich, solches zu tun des Tages vor seines Vaters Haus und den Leuten in der Stadt, und tat es bei der Nacht.

Y edifica altar á Jehová tu Dios en la cumbre de este peñasco en lugar conveniente; y tomando el segundo toro, sacrifícalo en holocausto sobre la leña del bosque que habrás cortado.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

Then build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this stronghold, in an orderly way, and take the second bull, and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.”

Da nun die Leute in der Stadt des Morgens frühe aufstunden, siehe, da war der Altar Baals zerbrochen, und der Hain dabei abgehauen; und der andere Farre, ein Brandopfer auf dem Altar, der gebauet war.

Entonces Gedeón tomó diez hombres de sus siervos, é hizo como Jehová le dijo. Mas temiendo hacerlo de día, por la familia de su padre y por los hombres de la ciudad, hízolo de noche.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had spoken to him. Because he feared his father’s household and the men of the city, he could not do it by day, but he did it by night.

Und einer sprach zu dem andern: Wer hat das getan? Und da sie suchten und nachfragten, ward gesagt: Gideon, der Sohn Joas', hat das getan.

Y á la mañana, cuando los de la ciudad se levantaron, he aquí que el altar de Baal estaba derribado, y cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba, y sacrificado aquel segundo toro en holocausto sobre el altar edificado.

And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.

When the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah was cut down that was by it, and the second bull was offered on the altar that was built.

Da sprachen die Leute der Stadt zu Joas: Gib deinen Sohn heraus! Er muß sterben, daß er den Altar Baals zerbrochen und den Hain dabei abgehauen hat.

Y decíanse unos á otros: ¿Quién ha hecho esto? Y buscando é inquiriendo, dijéronles: Gedeón hijo de Joas lo ha hecho. Entonces los hombres de la ciudad dijeron á Joas:

And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.

They said to one another, “Who has done this thing?” When they inquired and asked, they said, “Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.”

Joas aber sprach zu allen, die bei ihm stunden: Wollt ihr um Baal hadern? Wollt ihr ihm helfen? Wer um ihn hadert, der soll dieses Morgens sterben. Ist er GOtt, so rechte er um sich selbst, daß sein Altar zerbrochen ist.

Saca fuera tu hijo para que muera, por cuanto ha derribado el altar de Baal y ha cortado el bosque que junto á él estaba.

Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

Then the men of the city said to Joash, “Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has broken down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the Asherah that was by it.”

Von dem Tage an hieß man ihn Jerubbaal und sprach: Baal rechte um sich selbst, daß sein Altar zerbrochen ist!

Y Joas respondió á todos los que estaban junto á él: ¿Tomaréis vosotros la demanda por Baal? ¿le salvaréis vosotros? Cualquiera que tomare la demanda por él, que muera mañana. Si es Dios, contienda por sí mismo con el que derribó su altar.

And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.

Joash said to all who stood against him, “Will you contend for Baal? Or will you save him? He who will contend for him, let him be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him contend for himself, because someone has broken down his altar!”

Da nun alle Midianiter und Amalekiter und die aus dem Morgenlande sich zu Haufe versammelt hatten und zogen herdurch und lagerten sich im Grunde Jesreel,

Y aquel día llamó él á Gedeón Jerobaal; porque dijo: Pleitee Baal contra el que derribó su altar.

Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

Therefore on that day he named him Jerub-Baal, saying, “Let Baal contend against him, because he has broken down his altar.”

zog der Geist des HErrn Gideon an; und er ließ die Posaunen blasen und rief Abieser, daß sie ihm folgeten.

Y todos los Madianitas, y Amalecitas, y orientales, se juntaron á una, y pasando asentaron campo en el valle de Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east assembled themselves together; and they passed over, and encamped in the valley of Jezreel.

Und sandte Botschaft in ganz Manasse und rief ihn an, daß sie ihm auch nachfolgeten. Er sandte auch Botschaft zu Asser und Sebulon und Naphthali; die kamen herauf ihm entgegen.

Y el espíritu de Jehová se envistió en Gedeón, y como éste hubo tocado el cuerno, Abiezer se juntó con él.

But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him.

But the LORD’s Spirit came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered together to follow him.

Und Gideon sprach zu GOtt: Willst du Israel durch meine Hand erlösen, wie du geredet hast,

Y envió mensajeros por todo Manasés, el cual también se juntó con él: asimismo envió mensajeros á Aser, y á Zabulón, y á Nephtalí, los cuales salieron á encontrarles.

And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

He sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, and they also were gathered together to follow him. He sent messengers to Asher, to Zebulun, and to Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.

so will ich ein Fell mit der Wolle auf die Tenne legen. Wird der Tau auf dem Fell allein sein und auf der ganzen Erde trocken, so will ich merken, daß du Israel erlösen wirst durch meine Hand, wie du geredet hast.

Y Gedeón dijo á Dios: Si has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como has dicho,

And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,

Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken,

Und es geschah also. Und da er des andern Morgens früh aufstund, drückte er den Tau aus von dem Fell und füllete eine Schale voll des Wassers.

He aquí que yo pondré un vellón de lana en la era; y si el rocío estuviere en el vellón solamente, quedando seca toda la otra tierra, entonces entenderé que has de salvar á Israel por mi mano, como lo has dicho.

Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.

behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all the ground, then I’ll know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have spoken.”

Und Gideon sprach zu GOtt: Dein Zorn ergrimme nicht wider mich, daß ich noch einmal rede. Ich will's nur noch einmal versuchen mit dem Fell. Es sei allein auf dem Fell trocken und Tau auf der ganzen Erde.

Y aconteció así: porque como se levantó de mañana, exprimiendo el vellón sacó de él el rocío, un vaso lleno de agua.

And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

It was so; for he rose up early on the next day, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.

Und GOtt tat also dieselbe Nacht, daß trocken war allein auf dem Fell und Tau auf der ganzen Erde.

Mas Gedeón dijo á Dios: No se encienda tu ira contra mí, si aun hablare esta vez: solamente probaré ahora otra vez con el vellón. Ruégote que la sequedad sea sólo en el vellón, y el rocío sobre la tierra.

And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.

Gideon said to God, “Don’t let your anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once. Please let me make a trial just this once with the fleece. Let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.”

Da machte sich Jerubbaal, das ist, Gideon, frühe auf, und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und lagerten sich an den Brunnen Harod, daß er das Heer der Midianiter hatte gegen Mitternacht, hinter den Hügeln der Warte im Grunde.

Y aquella noche lo hizo Dios así: porque la sequedad fué sólo en el vellón, y en toda la tierra estuvo el rocío.

And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
