El Señor le dijo a Gedeón: «Los que están contigo son muchos. No puedo permitir que todos se enfrenten a los madianitas, porque entonces el pueblo de Israel se jactará delante de mí de que se han salvado por su propia fortaleza.
Y Jehová dijo á Gedeón: El pueblo que está contigo es mucho para que yo dé á los Madianitas en su mano: porque no se alabe Israel contra mí, diciendo: Mi mano me ha salvado.
And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
