49Todos os homens, da mesma forma, cortaram cada um o seu galho, seguiram Abimeleque, os colocaram na base da fortaleza, e incendiaram a fortaleza sobre eles, de modo que todas as pessoas da torre de Siquém também morreram, cerca de mil homens e mulheres.
