Voici ce que dit l'Eternel: "N'adoptez pas les pratiques des nations, ni ne tremblez devant les signes célestes parce que les nations tremblent devant eux.
Así dijo Jehová: No aprendáis el camino de las gentes, ni de las señales del cielo tengáis temor, aunque las gentes las teman.
Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
The LORD says, “Don’t learn the way of the nations, and don’t be dismayed at the signs of the sky; for the nations are dismayed at them.
Car les coutumes des autres peuples sont chose vaine; en effet, on coupe dans la forêt un arbre que le charpentier façonne à coups de hache;
Porque las ordenanzas de los pueblos son vanidad: porque leño del monte cortaron, obra de manos de artífice con azuela.

Como palma lo igualan, y no hablan; son llevados, porque no pueden andar. No tengáis temor de ellos; porque ni pueden hacer mal, ni para hacer bien tienen poder.

Qui ne te vénérerait, ô Roi des nations, comme cela t'est dû? Assurément, parmi tous les sages des nations et dans tous leurs royaumes, nul n'est semblable à toi.
¿Quién no te temerá, oh Rey de las gentes? porque á ti compete ello; porque entre todos los sabios de las gentes, y en todos sus reinos, no hay semejante á ti.
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
Who shouldn’t fear you, King of the nations? For it belongs to you. Because among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royal estate, there is no one like you.

Tandis que l'Eternel, Dieu, est vérité; lui seul est un Dieu vivant et un Roi éternel: sa colère fait trembler la terre et les peuples ne peuvent soutenir son courroux.

Il a créé la terre par sa puissance, affermi le monde par sa sagesse, déployé les cieux par son intelligence.
El que hizo la tierra con su potencia, el que puso en orden el mundo con su saber, y extendió los cielos con su prudencia;
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Lorsqu'il fait entendre le bruit du tonnerre, des torrents d'eau s'amassent au ciel, il élève les nuées du bout de la terre, il accompagne d'éclairs la pluie et fait s'échapper les vents de ses réservoirs.
A su voz se da muchedumbre de aguas en el cielo, y hace subir las nubes de lo postrero de la tierra; hace los relámpagos con la lluvia, y saca el viento de sus depósitos.

Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: "Cette fois, je vals lancer au loin, comme par la fronde, les habitants de ce pays, je vais les serrer étroitement pour qu'on mette la main sur eux."
Porque así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que esta vez arrojaré con honda los moradores de la tierra, y he de afligirlos, para que lo hallen.

Je sais, ô Eternel, que le fils d'Adam ne dispose pas de son sort, que l'homme qui marche n'est pas maître de diriger ses pas.

Déverse ton indignation sur les peuples qui ne te connaissent pas et sur les races qui n'invoquent pas ton nom; car ils ont dévoré Jacob, ils l'ont dévoré, anéanti, et ont ruiné ses foyers.
Derrama tu enojo sobre las gentes que no te conocen, y sobre las naciones que no invocan tu nombre: porque se comieron á Jacob, y lo devoraron, y le han consumido, y asolado su morada.
Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.
Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t know you, and on the families that don’t call on your name; for they have devoured Jacob. Yes, they have devoured him, consumed him, and have laid waste his habitation.
