ASÍ me dijo Jehová: Ve, y cómprate un cinto de lino, y cíñelo sobre tus lomos, y no lo meterás en agua.
Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
The LORD said to me, “Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.”
J’achetai donc une ceinture selon la parole de l’Eternel, et la mis sur mes reins.
Y compré el cinto conforme á la palabra de Jehová, y púselo sobre mis lomos.
So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
So I bought a belt according to the LORD’s word, and put it on my waist.
Et la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée pour la seconde fois, en disant :
Y fué á mí segunda vez palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Prends la ceinture que tu as achetée, et qui est sur tes reins, et te lève, et t’en va vers l’Euphrate, et la cache là dans le trou d’un rocher.
Toma el cinto que compraste, que está sobre tus lomos, y levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y escóndelo allá en la concavidad de una peña.
Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
“Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”
Je m’en allai donc, et la cachai dans l’Euphrate, comme l’Eternel m’avait commandé.
Fuí pues, y escondílo junto al Eufrates, como Jehová me mandó.
So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

Et il arriva que plusieurs jours après l’Eternel me dit : lève-toi, et t’en va vers l’Euphrate, et reprends de là la ceinture que je t’avais commandé d’y cacher.
Y sucedió que al cabo de muchos días me dijo Jehová: Levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y toma de allí el cinto que te mandé escondieses allá.
And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.

Et je m’en allai vers l’Euphrate, je creusai ; et je repris la ceinture du lieu où je l’avais cachée, et voici, la ceinture était pourrie, et n’était plus bonne à rien.
Entonces fuí al Eufrates, y cavé, y tomé el cinto del lugar donde lo había escondido; y he aquí que el cinto se había podrido; para ninguna cosa era bueno.
Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

Alors la parole de l’Eternel me fut adressée, en disant :
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Ainsi a dit l’Eternel : je ferai ainsi pourrir l’orgueil de Juda, et le grand orgueil de Jérusalem.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Así haré podrir la soberbia de Judá, y la mucha soberbia de Jerusalem,
Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
“The LORD says, ‘In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
L’orgueil de ce peuple très méchant, qui refusent d’écouter mes paroles, et qui marchent selon la dureté de leur coeur, et vont après d’autres dieux pour les servir, et pour se prosterner devant eux, tellement qu’il sera comme cette ceinture, qui n’est bonne à aucune chose.
A este pueblo malo, que no quieren oir mis palabras, que andan en las imaginaciones de su corazón, y se fueron en pos de dioses ajenos para servirles, y para encorvarse á ellos; y vendrá á ser como este cinto, que para ninguna cosa es bueno.
This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

Car comme une ceinture est jointe sur les reins d’un homme, je m’étais attaché toute la maison d’Israël, et toute la maison de Juda, dit l’Eternel, afin qu’ils fussent mon peuple, ma renommée, ma louange, et ma gloire ; mais ils n’ont point écouté.
Porque como el cinto se junta á los lomos del hombre, así hice juntar á mí toda la casa de Israel y toda la casa de Judá, dice Jehová, para que me fuesen por pueblo y por fama, y por alabanza y por honra: empero no escucharon.
For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me,’ says the LORD; ‘that they may be to me for a people, for a name, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’
Tu leur diras donc cette parole-ci : ainsi a dit l’Eternel, le Dieu d’Israël : tout vaisseau sera rempli de vin ; et ils te diront : ne savons-nous pas bien que tout vaisseau sera rempli de vin ?
Les dirás pues esta palabra: Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Henchiráse de vino todo odre. Y ellos te dirán: ¿No sabemos que todo odre se henchirá de vino?

Mais tu leur diras : ainsi a dit l’Eternel : voici, je m’en vais remplir d’ivresse tous les habitants de ce pays, et les Rois qui sont assis sur le trône de David pour l’amour de lui, et les Sacrificateurs, et les Prophètes, et tous les habitants de Jérusalem.

Et je les briserai l’un contre l’autre, les pères et les enfants ensemble, dit l’Eternel, je n’en aurai point de compassion, je ne les épargnerai point, et je n’en aurai point de pitié pour ne les détruire point.

Dad gloria á Jehová Dios vuestro, antes que haga venir tinieblas, y antes que vuestros pies tropiecen en montes de oscuridad, y esperéis luz, y os la torne sombra de muerte y tinieblas.

Que si vous n’écoutez ceci, mon âme pleurera en secret à cause de votre orgueil, et mon oeil versera des larmes en abondance, même il se fondra en larmes, parce que le troupeau de l’Eternel aura été emmené prisonnier.
Mas si no oyereis esto, en secreto llorará mi alma á causa de vuestra soberbia; y llorando amargamente, se desharán mis ojos en lágrimas, porque el rebaño de Jehová fué cautivo.
But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD’s flock is carried away captive.

Que diras-tu quand il te punira ? car tu les as enseignés contre toi, pour être supérieurs sur ta tête ; les douleurs ne te saisiront- elles point, comme elles saisissent la femme qui enfante ?
¿Qué dirás cuando te visitará? porque tú los enseñaste á ser príncipes y cabeza sobre ti. ¿No te tomarán dolores como á mujer que pare?
What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
What will you say when he sets over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? Won’t sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
Que si tu dis en ton coeur : pourquoi me sont arrivées ces choses ? C’est pour la grandeur de ton iniquité que tes habits ont été retroussés, et que tes talons ont été serrés de près.
Cuando dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Por qué me ha sobrevenido esto? Por la enormidad de tu maldad fueron descubiertas tus faldas, fueron desnudos tus calcañares.
And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.
If you say in your heart, “Why have these things come on me?” Your skirts are uncovered because of the greatness of your iniquity, and your heels suffer violence.
Le More changerait-il sa peau, et le léopard ses taches ? pourriez-vous aussi faire quelque bien, vous qui n’êtes appris qu’à mal faire ?

A cause de cela j’ai retroussé tes habits sur ton visage, et ton ignominie paraîtra.

Tes adultères, et tes hennissements, l’énormité de ta prostitution est sur les collines, par les champs, j’ai vu tes abominations ; malheur à toi, Jérusalem, ne seras-tu point nettoyée ? jusques à quand cela durera-t-il ?
Tus adulterios, tus relinchos, la maldad de tu fornicación sobre los collados: en el mismo campo vi tus abominaciones. ¡Ay de ti, Jerusalem! ¿No serás al cabo limpia? ¿hasta cuándo todavía?
I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean. How long will it yet be?”
