ASÍ me dijo Jehová: Ve, y cómprate un cinto de lino, y cíñelo sobre tus lomos, y no lo meterás en agua.

Então, eu comprei um cinto, como Yahweh havia ordenado, e pus sobre os meus lombos.

So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
So I bought a belt according to the LORD’s word, and put it on my waist.
Então, a palavra de Yahweh veio a mim pela segunda vez e disse:
Y fué á mí segunda vez palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,

"Pega o cinto que compraste, que está sobre teus lombos, levanta-te e viaja para o Eufrates. Esconde-o na fenda de uma rocha".
Toma el cinto que compraste, que está sobre tus lomos, y levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y escóndelo allá en la concavidad de una peña.
Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
“Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”
Então, fui e o escondi no Eufrates, assim como Yahweh me havia ordenado.
Fuí pues, y escondílo junto al Eufrates, como Jehová me mandó.
So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

Após muitos dias, Yahweh disse a mim: "Levanta-te e volta ao Eufrates, retira de lá o cinto que Eu lhe disse para esconder".
Y sucedió que al cabo de muchos días me dijo Jehová: Levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y toma de allí el cinto que te mandé escondieses allá.
And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
After many days, the LORD said to me, “Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.”
Então, voltei ao Eufrates e tirei o cinto de onde o havia escondido. Eis que o cinto estava apodrecido, não servia para nada.
Entonces fuí al Eufrates, y cavé, y tomé el cinto del lugar donde lo había escondido; y he aquí que el cinto se había podrido; para ninguna cosa era bueno.
Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

"Assim diz Yahweh: Da mesma maneira, Eu destruirei a grande arrogância de Judá e Jerusalém.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Así haré podrir la soberbia de Judá, y la mucha soberbia de Jerusalem,
Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
“The LORD says, ‘In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
Este povo perverso que recusa a ouvir a Minha palavra, que caminha na dureza de seus corações, que vai atrás de outros deuses para adorá-los e se curvar diante deles, eles serão como esse cinto que não serve para nada.
A este pueblo malo, que no quieren oir mis palabras, que andan en las imaginaciones de su corazón, y se fueron en pos de dioses ajenos para servirles, y para encorvarse á ellos; y vendrá á ser como este cinto, que para ninguna cosa es bueno.
This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

Assim como o cinto se apega aos lombos do homem, Eu tenho feito toda a casa de Israel e toda a casa de Judá se apegar a Mim, para serem Meu povo, para Me darem louvor e honra. Mas eles não quiseram Me ouvir — esta é a declaração de Yahweh.
Porque como el cinto se junta á los lomos del hombre, así hice juntar á mí toda la casa de Israel y toda la casa de Judá, dice Jehová, para que me fuesen por pueblo y por fama, y por alabanza y por honra: empero no escucharon.
For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.
For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me,’ says the LORD; ‘that they may be to me for a people, for a name, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’
Assim, tu deves dizer esta palavra a eles: 'Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, diz assim: "Todo jarro se encherá de vinho". Eles te dirão: "Não sabemos, de fato, que todo jarro se encherá de vinho?".
Les dirás pues esta palabra: Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Henchiráse de vino todo odre. Y ellos te dirán: ¿No sabemos que todo odre se henchirá de vino?
Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
“Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘The LORD, the God of Israel says, “Every container should be filled with wine.”’ They will tell you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every container should be filled with wine?’
Então, dize-lhes: Assim diz Yahweh: Vede, Eu encherei com embriaguez cada habitante desta terra, os reis que assentaram no trono de Davi, os sacerdotes, profetas e todos os habitantes de Jerusalém.
Entonces les has de decir: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo lleno de embriaguez todos los moradores de esta tierra, y á los reyes de la estirpe de David que se sientan sobre su trono, y á los sacerdotes y profetas, y á todos los moradores de Jerusalem;

Então, Eu mesmo colocarei uns contra os outros, tanto os pais quanto os filhos. Não terei pena ou compaixão deles e não os pouparei da destruição — esta é a declaração de Yahweh".
Y quebrantarélos el uno con el otro, los padres con los hijos juntamente, dice Jehová: no perdonaré, ni tendré piedad ni misericordia, para no destruirlos.

Ouvi e prestai atenção. Não sejais arrogantes, pois Yahweh tem dito.

Dai honra a Yahweh, vosso Deus, antes que Ele traga escuridão e faça vossos pés tropeçarem nas montanhas, ao anoitecer. Pois estais esperando por luz, mas Ele transformará o lugar em escuridão profunda, em uma nuvem escura.
Dad gloria á Jehová Dios vuestro, antes que haga venir tinieblas, y antes que vuestros pies tropiecen en montes de oscuridad, y esperéis luz, y os la torne sombra de muerte y tinieblas.

Portanto, se não ouvirdes, chorareis em segredo por causa de vossa arrogância. Meus olhos, certamente, chorarão e derramarão lágrimas, pois o rebanho de Yahweh foi levado cativo.
Mas si no oyereis esto, en secreto llorará mi alma á causa de vuestra soberbia; y llorando amargamente, se desharán mis ojos en lágrimas, porque el rebaño de Jehová fué cautivo.

As cidades do Neguebe serão fechadas, e não terá ninguém para abri-las. Judá será levada cativa, totalmente em exílio.

Levantai vossos olhos e olhai os que vêm do norte. Onde está o rebanho que foi dado a vós, o rebanho que era tão belo?
Alzad vuestros ojos, y ved los que vienen del aquilón: ¿dónde está el rebaño que te fué dado, la grey de tu gloria?

Que dirás quando Deus colocar sobre vós aqueles a quem educastes para serem vossos amigos? Não será este o início das dores que vos acometereis, assim como uma mulher que está em trabalho de parto?
¿Qué dirás cuando te visitará? porque tú los enseñaste á ser príncipes y cabeza sobre ti. ¿No te tomarán dolores como á mujer que pare?
What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
What will you say when he sets over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? Won’t sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
Então, podereis dizer em vosso coração: 'Por que estas coisas estão acontecendo conosco?' Por causa da multidão de vossas iniquidades é que vossas saias estão levantadas e fostes violentadas.
Cuando dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Por qué me ha sobrevenido esto? Por la enormidad de tu maldad fueron descubiertas tus faldas, fueron desnudos tus calcañares.
And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.
If you say in your heart, “Why have these things come on me?” Your skirts are uncovered because of the greatness of your iniquity, and your heels suffer violence.
Podem as pessoas da Etiópia mudarem sua cor da pele, ou o leopardo mudar suas pintas? Assim também vós, acostumados com a maldade, serão capazes de fazer o bem?
¿Mudará el negro su pellejo, y el leopardo sus manchas? Así también podréis vosotros hacer bien, estando habituados á hacer mal.

Então, Eu os espalharei como a palha levada pelo vento do deserto.

Vossos adultérios e relinchos, a infâmia da vossa prostituicão sobre as colinas e nos campos. Eu tenho visto essas coisas abomináveis! Ai de ti, Jerusalém! Até quando ainda não te purificarás?".

I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean. How long will it yet be?”
