ASÍ me dijo Jehová: Ve, y cómprate un cinto de lino, y cíñelo sobre tus lomos, y no lo meterás en agua.
Thus saith the LORD unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water.
The LORD said to me, “Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.”
J'achetai la ceinture, suivant la parole de l'Eternel, et l'attachai sur mes reins.
Y compré el cinto conforme á la palabra de Jehová, y púselo sobre mis lomos.
So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
So I bought a belt according to the LORD’s word, and put it on my waist.
De nouveau la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:
Y fué á mí segunda vez palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

"Prends la ceinture que tu as achetée, et qui couvre tes reins, mets-toi en route pour gagner l'Euphrate, et là tu l'enfouiras dans le creux d'un rocher."
Toma el cinto que compraste, que está sobre tus lomos, y levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y escóndelo allá en la concavidad de una peña.
Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
“Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”
J'allai donc l'enfouir près de l'Euphrate, comme l'Eternel me l'avait ordonné.
Fuí pues, y escondílo junto al Eufrates, como Jehová me mandó.
So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.

Après de longs jours, l'Eternel me dit: "Rends-toi près de l'Euphrate et retire de là la ceinture que je t'avais prescrit d'y enfouir."
Y sucedió que al cabo de muchos días me dijo Jehová: Levántate, y ve al Eufrates, y toma de allí el cinto que te mandé escondieses allá.
And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.

Je me rendis près de l'Euphrate, je creusai et retirai la ceinture de 'l'endroit où je l'avais enfouie. Or voici, la ceinture était détériorée et ne pouvait plus servir à rien.
Entonces fuí al Eufrates, y cavé, y tomé el cinto del lugar donde lo había escondido; y he aquí que el cinto se había podrido; para ninguna cosa era bueno.
Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

Alors la parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée en ces termes:

"Ainsi parle l'Eternel: C'est à cet état que je réduirai l'orgueil de Juda et l'orgueil de Jérusalem, qui sont si grands.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Así haré podrir la soberbia de Judá, y la mucha soberbia de Jerusalem,
Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
“The LORD says, ‘In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
Ce peuple pervers, qui refuse d'écouter mes paroles, suit les penchants de son coeur, s'attache à d'autres dieux, les adore et s'agenouille devant eux, il deviendra comme cette ceinture qui ne sert plus à rien.
A este pueblo malo, que no quieren oir mis palabras, que andan en las imaginaciones de su corazón, y se fueron en pos de dioses ajenos para servirles, y para encorvarse á ellos; y vendrá á ser como este cinto, que para ninguna cosa es bueno.
This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

En effet, de même qu'on porte sa ceinture nouée aux reins, ainsi je m'étais attaché toute la maison d'Israël et toute la maison de Juda, dit l'Eternel, destinées qu'elles étaient à devenir mon peuple, mon titre de gloire, mon honneur et ma parure: mais elles n'ont pas obéi.
Porque como el cinto se junta á los lomos del hombre, así hice juntar á mí toda la casa de Israel y toda la casa de Judá, dice Jehová, para que me fuesen por pueblo y por fama, y por alabanza y por honra: empero no escucharon.
For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

Tu leur adresseras donc ces paroles: "Voici ce que dit l'Eternel, Dieu d'Israël: Chaque outre est faite pour être remplie de vin." Ils te répondront: "Mais ne savons-nous pas parfaitement que chaque outre est faite pour être remplie de vin?"
Les dirás pues esta palabra: Así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel: Henchiráse de vino todo odre. Y ellos te dirán: ¿No sabemos que todo odre se henchirá de vino?

Et tu leur répliqueras: "Voici ce que dit l'Eternel: Tous les habitants de ce pays, ainsi que les rois, issus de David, qui siègent sur son trône, et les prêtres et les prophètes, et tous les habitants de Jérusalem, je vais les remplir d'ivresse.
Entonces les has de decir: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo lleno de embriaguez todos los moradores de esta tierra, y á los reyes de la estirpe de David que se sientan sobre su trono, y á los sacerdotes y profetas, y á todos los moradores de Jerusalem;
Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.

Puis je les briserai les uns contre les autres, les pères et les fils ensemble, dit l'Eternel; ni pitié, ni compassion, ni miséricorde, ne m'empêcheront de les détruire."

Dad gloria á Jehová Dios vuestro, antes que haga venir tinieblas, y antes que vuestros pies tropiecen en montes de oscuridad, y esperéis luz, y os la torne sombra de muerte y tinieblas.

Que diras-tu quand Dieu te donnera comme maîtrestoi-même des as dressés pour celaet placera à ta tête ceux qui sont tes amis? Certes, tu seras assaillie de douleurs comme une femme qui enfante.
¿Qué dirás cuando te visitará? porque tú los enseñaste á ser príncipes y cabeza sobre ti. ¿No te tomarán dolores como á mujer que pare?
What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
What will you say when he sets over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? Won’t sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
Et si tu t'interroges en toi-même: "Pourquoi ces choses m'arrivent-elles?" C'est à cause de la grandeur de tes forfaits que les bords de ta robe ont été relevés et tes talons frappés avec violence.
Cuando dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Por qué me ha sobrevenido esto? Por la enormidad de tu maldad fueron descubiertas tus faldas, fueron desnudos tus calcañares.
And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.
If you say in your heart, “Why have these things come on me?” Your skirts are uncovered because of the greatness of your iniquity, and your heels suffer violence.
Le nègre peut-il changer sa peau, la panthère ses rayures? Vous seriez tout autant capables de faire le bien, vous qui êtes habitués à faire le mal!

Tes adultères, tes exclamations lascives, l'infamie de tes débauches sur les collines, dans les champs, je les ai observées, tes abominations. Malheur à toi, Jérusalem! Tu ne saurais te purifier: combien de temps en sera-t-il encore ainsi?
Tus adulterios, tus relinchos, la maldad de tu fornicación sobre los collados: en el mismo campo vi tus abominaciones. ¡Ay de ti, Jerusalem! ¿No serás al cabo limpia? ¿hasta cuándo todavía?
I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
