Ich saß nicht im Kreis der Scherzenden und frohlockte; wegen deiner Hand saß ich allein, weil du mit deinem Grimm mich erfüllt hast.

No me senté en compañía de burladores, ni me engreí á causa de tu profecía; sentéme solo, porque me llenaste de desabrimiento.

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.
