Un mensaje del Señor que vino a mí, diciendo:
Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,
Then the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
No te cases ni tengas hijos aquí.
No tomarás para ti mujer, ni tendrás hijos ni hijas en este lugar.
Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
“You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.”
Esto es lo que dice el Señor sobre los niños que nacen aquí, y sobre sus madres y padres, es decir, sus padres aquí en este país:
Porque así ha dicho Jehová acerca de los hijos y de las hijas que nacieren en este lugar, y de sus madres que los parieren, y de los padres que los engendraren en esta tierra.
For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;
For the LORD says concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:
Morirán de enfermedades mortales. Nadie los llorará. Sus cuerpos no serán enterrados, sino que yacerán en el suelo como el estiércol. Serán destruidos por la guerra y el hambre, y sus cuerpos serán alimento para las aves de rapiña y los animales salvajes.
De dolorosas enfermedades morirán; no serán plañidos ni enterrados: serán por muladar sobre la haz de la tierra: y con cuchillo y con hambre serán consumidos, y sus cuerpos serán para comida de las aves del cielo y de las bestias de la tierra.
They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
“They will die grievous deaths. They will not be lamented, neither will they be buried. They will be as dung on the surface of the ground. They will be consumed by the sword and by famine. Their dead bodies will be food for the birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth.”
Esto es lo que dice el Señor: No entres en una casa donde la gente esté celebrando una comida fúnebre. No los visites para llorar ni para darles el pésame, porque les he quitado mi paz, mi amor fiel y mi misericordia, declara el Señor.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová: No entres en casa de luto, ni vayas á lamentar, ni los consueles: porque yo he quitado mi paz de este pueblo, dice Jehová, mi misericordia y piedades.
For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.
For the LORD says, “Don’t enter into the house of mourning. Don’t go to lament. Don’t bemoan them, for I have taken away my peace from this people,” says the LORD, “even loving kindness and tender mercies.
Todos, desde el más importante hasta el más insignificante, morirán en este país. No se les enterrará ni se les llorará; no habrá ritos para los muertos, como el inmolarse o afeitarse la cabeza.
Y morirán en esta tierra grandes y chicos: no se enterrarán, ni los plañirán, ni se arañarán, ni se mesarán por ellos;
Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:
Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried. Men won’t lament for them, cut themselves, or make themselves bald for them.
No se celebrarán recepciones fúnebres para consolar a los que lloran; ni siquiera se ofrecerá una bebida reconfortante ante la pérdida de un padre o una madre.
Ni por ellos partirán pan por luto, para consolarlos de sus muertos; ni les darán á beber vaso de consolaciones por su padre ó por su madre.
Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
Men won’t break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead. Men won’t give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
No entres en una casa donde la gente está de fiesta ni te sientes con ellos a comer y beber.
Asimismo no entres en casa de convite, para sentarte con ellos á comer ó á beber.
Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
“You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.”
Esto es lo que dice el Señor Todopoderoso, el Dios de Israel: Voy a poner fin aquí mismo, mientras tú observas, a cualquier sonido de celebración y alegría, a las voces alegres de los novios.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel; He aquí que yo haré cesar en este lugar, delante de vuestros ojos y en vuestros días, toda voz de gozo y toda voz de alegría, toda voz de esposo y toda voz de esposa.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.
For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
Cuando les expliques todo esto, te preguntarán: “¿Por qué ha ordenado el Señor que nos ocurra un desastre tan terrible? ¿Qué hemos hecho mal? ¿Qué pecado hemos cometido contra el Señor, nuestro Dios?”
Y acontecerá que cuando anunciares á este pueblo todas estas cosas, te dirán ellos: ¿Por qué habló Jehová sobre nosotros todo este mal tan grande? ¿y qué maldad es la nuestra, ó qué pecado es el nuestro, que cometiéramos contra Jehová nuestro Dios?
And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
It will happen, when you tell this people all these words, and they ask you, ‘Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us?’ or ‘What is our iniquity?’ or ‘What is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’
Contéstales: Es porque sus antepasados me abandonaron, declara el Señor. Se fueron y siguieron a otros dioses, sirviéndolos y adorándolos. Me abandonaron y no cumplieron mis leyes.
Entonces les dirás: Porque vuestros padres me dejaron, dice Jehová, y anduvieron en pos de dioses ajenos, y los sirvieron, y á ellos se encorvaron, y me dejaron á mí, y no guardaron mi ley;
Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
then you shall tell them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me,’ says the LORD, ‘and have walked after other gods, have served them, have worshiped them, have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.
Ustedes, sin embargo, han hecho aún más mal que sus antepasados. Miren cómo todos ustedes siguieron su propio y obstinado pensamiento malvado en lugar de obedecerme.
Y vosotros habéis hecho peor que vuestros padres; porque he aquí que vosotros camináis cada uno tras la imaginación de su malvado corazón, no oyéndome á mí.
And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:
You have done evil more than your fathers, for behold, you each walk after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don’t listen to me.
Así que voy a expulsarlos de este país y a exiliarlos a un país desconocido para ustedes y sus antepasados. Allí servirán a otros dioses día y noche, porque yo no los ayudaré en nada.
Por tanto, yo os haré echar de esta tierra á tierra que ni vosotros ni vuestros padres habéis conocido, y allá serviréis á dioses ajenos de día y de noche; porque no os mostraré clemencia.
Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.
Therefore I will cast you out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’
¡Pero escuchen! Se acerca el tiempo, declara el Señor, en que la gente ya no hará votos, diciendo. “Por la vida del Señor, que sacó a los israelitas de Egipto”.
Empero he aquí, vienen días, dice Jehová, que no se dirá más: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir á los hijos de Israel de tierra de Egipto;
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
“Therefore behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that it will no more be said, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;’
En cambio, dirán: “Por la vida del Señor, que hizo regresar a los israelitas del país del norte y de todos los demás países donde los había exiliado”. Los haré regresar al país que les di a sus antepasados.
Sino: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir á los hijos de Israel de la tierra del aquilón, y de todas las tierras á donde los había arrojado: y volverélos á su tierra, la cual dí á sus padres.
But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
but, ‘As the LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them.’ I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.
Pero por el momento voy a enviar por muchos pescadores y ellos los pescarán, declara el Señor. Luego voy a enviar a muchos cazadores, y los cazarán en todas las montañas y colinas, incluso desde sus escondites en las rocas.
He aquí que yo envío muchos pescadores, dice Jehová, y los pescarán; y después enviaré muchos cazadores, y los cazarán de todo monte, y de todo collado, y de las cavernas de los peñascos.
Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
“Behold, I will send for many fishermen,” says the LORD, “and they will fish them up. Afterward I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain, from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.
Yo veo todo lo que hacen. No pueden esconderse de mí, y sus pecados tampoco están ocultos para mí.
Porque mis ojos están sobre todos sus caminos, los cuales no se me ocultaron, ni su maldad se esconde de la presencia de mis ojos.
For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.
For my eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from my face. Their iniquity isn’t concealed from my eyes.
Primero voy a pagarles el doble por su maldad y su pecado, porque han ensuciado mi tierra con los cuerpos sin vida de sus repugnantes ídolos, llenando mi país especial con sus ofensivas imágenes paganas.
Mas primero pagaré al doble su iniquidad y su pecado; porque contaminaron mi tierra con los cuerpos muertos de sus abominaciones, y de sus abominaciones llenaron mi heredad.
And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.
First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.”
Señor, tú eres mi fuerza y mi fortaleza, mi lugar seguro en el tiempo de angustia. Vendrán a ti naciones de toda la tierra, y dirán: “¡La religión de nuestros antepasados era una total mentira! Los ídolos que adoraban eran inútiles, no servían para nada.
Oh Jehová, fortaleza mía, y fuerza mía, y refugio mío en el tiempo de la aflicción; á ti vendrán gentes desde los extremos de la tierra, y dirán: Ciertamente mentira poseyeron nuestros padres, vanidad, y no hay en ellos provecho.
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
LORD, my strength, my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations will come to you from the ends of the earth, and will say, “Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.
¿Cómo puede la gente hacerse dioses para sí misma? Estos no son dioses!”
¿Ha de hacer el hombre dioses para sí? mas ellos no son dioses.
Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?
Should a man make to himself gods which yet are no gods?”
¡Ahora verán! Les mostraré, y entonces reconocerán mi poder y mi fuerza. Entonces sabrán que yo soy el Señor!
Por tanto, he aquí, les enseñaré de esta vez, enseñarles he mi mano y mi fortaleza, y sabrán que mi nombre es Jehová.
Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.
“Therefore behold, I will cause them to know, this once I will cause them to know my hand and my might. Then they will know that my name is the LORD.”
