Jeremías 17

pero ellos no escucharon ni obedecieron. Tercamente se negaron a recibir mi instrucción y seguirla.

Mas ellos no oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído, antes endurecieron su cerviz, por no oir, ni recibir corrección.

But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

But they didn’t listen. They didn’t turn their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, and might not receive instruction.
