Jeremías 17
Diodati 1885
1Il peccato di Giuda è scritto con uno stile di ferro, con una punta di diamante; egli è scolpito in su la tavola del lor cuore, e nelle corna de' vostri altari.
2Il ricordarsi de'loro altari, e de' lor boschi, presso agli alberi verdeggianti, sopra gli alti colli, è loro come il ricordarsi de' lor propri figliuoli.
3O montanaro, scendi nella campagna; io darò in preda le tue facoltà, e tutti i tuoi tesori; i tuoi alti luoghi son pieni di peccato, in tutti i tuoi confini.
4E tu, e quelli che sono fra te, lascerete vacar la vostra eredità, la quale io vi avea data, essendone cacciati fuori; ed io ti farò servire a' tuoi nemici, nel paese che tu non è conosci; perciocchè voi avete acceso un fuoco nella mia ira, il quale arderà in perpetuo.
5Così ha detto il Signore: Maledetto sia l'uomo che si confida nell'uomo, e mette la carne per suo braccio, e il cui cuore si ritrae dal Signore.
6Egli sarà come un tamerice in una piaggia; e quando il bene verrà, egli nol vedrà; ed abiterà nel deserto, in luoghi aridi, in terra di salsuggine, e disabitata.
7Benedetto sia l'uomo che si confida nel Signore, e la cui confidanza è il Signore.
8Egli sarà come un albero piantato presso alle acque, e che stende le sue radici lungo un ruscello; e quando viene l'arsura, egli non la sente; anzi le sue fronde verdeggiano; e nell'anno della secchezza non se ne affanna, e non resta di far frutto.
9Il cuor dell'uomo è frodolente sopra ogni altra cosa, ed insanabile; chi lo conoscerà?
10Io, il Signore, che investigo i cuori, che provo le reni; e ciò, per rendere a ciascuno la retribuzione secondo le sue vie, secondo il frutto de' suoi fatti.
11Chi acquista delle ricchezze, e non dirittamente, è come la pernice, che cova l'uova che non ha fatte; egli le lascerà al mezzo de' suoi dì, ed alla fine sarà trovato stolto.
12Il luogo del nostro santuario è un trono di gloria, un luogo eccelso fin dal principio.
13O Signore, speranza d'Israele, tutti quelli che ti lasciano saran confusi; e quelli che si rivoltano indietro da me saranno scritti nella terra; perciocchè hanno abbandonata la fonte delle acque vive, il Signore.
14Sanami, Signore, ed io sarò sanato; salvami, ed io sarò salvato; perciocchè tu sei la mia lode.
15Ecco, costoro mi dicono: Dove è la parola del Signore? venga pur ora.
16Ora, quant'è a me, io non ho fatta maggiore istanza dietro a te, che si convenga ad un pastore; e non ho desiderato il giorno del male insanabile; tu il sai, ciò che è uscito delle mie labbra è stato nel tuo cospetto.
17Non essermi in ispavento; tu sei la mia speranza, e rifugio, nel giorno dell'avversità.
18Sieno confusi i miei persecutori, e non io; sieno spaventati, e non io; fa' venire sopra loro il giorno del male, e rompili di doppia rottura.
19COSÌ mi ha detto il Signore: Va', e fermati alla porta de' figliuoli del popolo, per la quale entrano ed escono i re di Giuda; ed a tutte le porte di Gerusalemme, e di' loro:
20Ascoltate la parola del Signore, re di Giuda, e tutto Giuda, e voi, tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, ch'entrate per queste porte.
21Così ha detto il Signore: Guardatevi, sopra le anime vostre, di portare alcun carico, nè di farlo passare per le porte di Gerusalemme, nel giorno del sabato;
22e non traete fuor delle vostre case alcun carico, nè fate opera alcuna nei giorno del sabato; ma santificate il giorno del sabato, come io comandai a' padri vostri.
23Ma essi non ascoltarono, e non porsero il loro orecchio; anzi indurarono il lor collo per non ascoltare, e per non ricever correzione.
24Ed avverrà, se pur mi ascoltate, dice il Signore, per non fare entrare alcun carico per le porte di questa città nel giorno del sabato, e per santificare il giorno del sabato, per non fare in esso alcun lavoro;
25che i re ed i principi che seggono sopra il trono di Davide, montati sopra carri e cavalli; i re, dico, e i lor principi, gli uomini di Giuda, e gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, entreranno per le porte di questa città; e questa città sarà abitata in perpetuo.
26E si verrà dalle città di Giuda, e da' luoghi circonvicini di Gerusalemme, e dal paese di Beniamino, e dal piano, e dal monte, e dalla parte meridionale, portando olocausti e sacrificii, ed offerte, ed incenso; portando ancora offerte da render grazie, alla Casa del Signore.
27Ma, se non mi ascoltate, per santificare il giorno del sabato, e per non portare alcun carico, e per non entrar con esso per le porte di Gerusalemme, nel giorno del sabato, io accenderò un fuoco nelle sue porte, il quale consumerà i palazzi di Gerusalemme, e non si spegnerà.

1EL pecado de Judá escrito está con cincel de hierro, y con punta de diamante: esculpido está en la tabla de su corazón, y en los lados de vuestros altares;
2Cuando sus hijos se acuerdan de sus altares y de sus bosques, junto á los árboles verdes y en los collados altos.
3¡Oh mi montaña! tu hacienda en el campo y todos tus tesoros daré á saco, por el pecado de tus altos en todos tus términos.
4Y habrá en ti cesación de tu heredad, la cual yo te dí, y te haré servir á tus enemigos en tierra que no conociste; porque fuego habéis encendido en mi furor, para siempre arderá.
5Así ha dicho Jehová: Maldito el varón que confía en el hombre, y pone carne por su brazo, y su corazón se aparta de Jehová.
6Pues será como la retama en el desierto, y no verá cuando viniere el bien; sino que morará en las securas en el desierto, en tierra despoblada y deshabitada.
7Bendito el varón que se fía en Jehová, y cuya confianza es Jehová.
8Porque él será como el árbol plantado junto á las aguas, que junto á la corriente echará sus raices, y no verá cuando viniere el calor, sino que su hoja estará verde; y en el año de sequía no se fatigará, ni dejará de hacer fruto.
9Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, y perverso; ¿quién lo conocerá?
10Yo Jehová, que escudriño el corazón, que pruebo los riñones, para dar á cada uno según su camino, según el fruto de sus obras.
11Como la perdiz que cubre lo que no puso, es el que allega riquezas, y no con justicia; en medio de sus días las dejará, y en su postrimería será insipiente.
12Trono de gloria, excelso desde el principio, es el lugar de nuestro santuario.
13¡Oh Jehová, esperanza de Israel! todos los que te dejan, serán avergonzados; y los que de mí se apartan, serán escritos en el polvo; porque dejaron la vena de aguas vivas, á Jehová.
14Sáname, oh Jehová, y seré sano; sálvame, y seré salvo: porque tú eres mi alabanza.
15He aquí que ellos me dicen: ¿Dónde está la palabra de Jehová? venga ahora.
16Mas yo no me entrometí á ser pastor en pos de ti, ni deseé día de calamidad, tú lo sabes. Lo que de mi boca ha salido, fué en tu presencia.
17No me seas tú por espanto: esperanza mía eres tú en el día malo.
18Avergüéncense los que me persiguen, y no me avergüence yo; asómbrense ellos, y yo no me asombre: trae sobre ellos día malo, y quebrántalos con doble quebrantamiento.
19Así me ha dicho Jehová: Ve, y ponte á la puerta de los hijos del pueblo, por la cual entran y salen los reyes de Judá, y á todas las puertas de Jerusalem,
20Y diles: Oid la palabra de Jehová, reyes de Judá, y todo Judá, y todos los moradores de Jerusalem que entráis por estas puertas.
21Así ha dicho Jehová: Guardaos por vuestras vidas, y no traigáis carga en el día del sábado, para meter por las puertas de Jerusalem;
22Ni saquéis carga de vuestras casas en el día del sábado, ni hagáis obra alguna: mas santificad el día del sábado, como mandé á vuestros padres;
23Mas ellos no oyeron, ni inclinaron su oído, antes endurecieron su cerviz, por no oir, ni recibir corrección.
24Será empero, si vosotros me obedeciereis, dice Jehová, no metiendo carga por las puertas de esta ciudad en el día del sábado, sino que santificareis el día del sábado, no haciendo en él ninguna obra;
25Que entrarán por las puertas de esta ciudad, en carros y en caballos, los reyes y los príncipes que se sientan sobre el trono de David, ellos y sus príncipes, los varones de Judá, y los moradores de Jerusalem: y esta ciudad será habitada para siempre.
26Y vendrán de las ciudades de Judá, y de los alrededores de Jerusalem, y de tierra de Benjamín, y de los campos, y del monte, y del austro, trayendo holocausto y sacrificio, y ofrenda é incienso, y trayendo sacrificio de alabanza á la casa de Jehová.
27Mas si no me oyereis para santificar el día del sábado, y para no traer carga ni meterla por las puertas de Jerusalem en día de sábado, yo haré encender fuego en sus puertas, y consumirá los palacios de Jerusalem, y no se apagará.

1The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
2Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.
3O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
4And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.
5Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
7Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
11As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
12A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.
13O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
14Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
15Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.
16As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
17Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
18Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
19Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
20And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
21Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
22Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
23But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
24And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
25Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
26And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.
27But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

1“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond. It is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars.
2Even their children remember their altars and their Asherah poles by the green trees on the high hills.
3My mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures for a plunder, and your high places, because of sin, throughout all your borders.
4You, even of yourself, will discontinue from your heritage that I gave you. I will cause you to serve your enemies in the land which you don’t know, for you have kindled a fire in my anger which will burn forever.”
5The LORD says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man, relies on strength of flesh, and whose heart departs from the LORD.
6For he will be like a bush in the desert, and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, an uninhabited salt land.
7“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose confidence is in the LORD.
8For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
9The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it?
10“I, the LORD, search the mind. I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

14Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise.

16As for me, I have not hurried from being a shepherd after you. I haven’t desired the woeful day. You know. That which came out of my lips was before your face.
17Don’t be a terror to me. You are my refuge in the day of evil.
18Let them be disappointed who persecute me, but don’t let me be disappointed. Let them be dismayed, but don’t let me be dismayed. Bring on them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
19The LORD said this to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, through which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem.
20Tell them, ‘Hear the LORD’s word, you kings of Judah, all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
21The LORD says, “Be careful, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.
22Don’t carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day. Don’t do any work, but make the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.
23But they didn’t listen. They didn’t turn their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, and might not receive instruction.
24It will happen, if you diligently listen to me,” says the LORD, “to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but to make the Sabbath day holy, to do no work therein;
25then there will enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting on David’s throne, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city will remain forever.
26They will come from the cities of Judah, and from the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country, and from the South, bringing burnt offerings, sacrifices, meal offerings, and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving to the LORD’s house.
27But if you will not listen to me to make the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem. It will not be quenched.”’”
