Mas ellos dijeron entonces: Venid y tratemos seriamente de obrar contra Jeremías, porque a pesar de lo que él predice, no nos faltará la explicación de la ley de boca del sacerdote, ni el consejo del sabio, ni la palabra del profeta. Venid, pues, atravesémosle con los dardos de nuestra lengua, y no hagamos caso de ninguna de sus palabras.
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
