LA palabra que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, diciendo:

Je descendis à la maison du potier ; et voici qu'il faisait son ouvrage sur les roues.

Et la parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes :
Entonces fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Est-ce que je ne puis pas vous faire comme a fait ce potier, maison d'Israël ; — oracle de Yahweh ? Oui, comme l'argile est dans la main du potier, ainsi vous êtes dans ma main, maison d'Israël.
¿No podré yo hacer de vosotros como este alfarero, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová? He aquí que como el barro en la mano del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, oh casa de Israel.
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
“House of Israel, can’t I do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.
Tantôt je parle, touchant une nation et touchant un royaume, d'arracher, d'abattre et de détruire.
En un instante hablaré contra gentes y contra reinos, para arrancar, y disipar, y destruir.
At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;

Mais cette nation, contre laquelle j'ai parlé, revient-elle de sa méchanceté, alors je me repens du mal que j'avais résolu de lui faire.
Empero si esas gentes se convirtieren de su maldad, de que habré hablado, yo me arrepentiré del mal que había pensado hacerles.
If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

Tantôt je parle, touchant une nation et touchant un royaume, de bâtir et de planter.
Y en un instante hablaré de la gente y del reino, para edificar y para plantar;

Mais cette nation fait-elle ce qui est mal à mes yeux, en n'écoutant pas ma voix, alors je me repens du bien que j'avais dit que je lui ferais.
Pero si hiciere lo malo delante de mis ojos, no oyendo mi voz, arrepentiréme del bien que había determinado hacerle.
If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Et maintenant parle donc aux hommes de Juda, et aux habitants de Jérusalem, en ces termes : Ainsi parle Yahweh : Voici que je façonne contre vous un malheur, et que je médite un dessein contre vous. Revenez donc chacun de votre voie mauvaise, et réformez vos voies et vos œuvres.
Ahora pues habla luego á todo hombre de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo dispongo mal contra vosotros, y trazo contra vosotros designios: conviértase ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras.
Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’
Mais ils disent : " C'est en vain ! Nous suivrons nos pensées, nous agirons chacun selon l'obstination de notre mauvais cœur. "
Y dijeron: Es por demás: porque en pos de nuestras imaginaciones hemos de ir, y hemos de hacer cada uno el pensamiento de su malvado corazón.
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”
C'est pourquoi ainsi parle Yahweh : Interrogez les nations : Qui a jamais entendu pareille chose ? Elle a commis d'horribles abominations, la vierge d'Israël !
Por tanto, así dijo Jehová: Preguntad ahora á las gentes, quién tal haya oído. Gran fealdad ha hecho la virgen de Israel.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

Quitte-t-elle le rocher de la plaine, la neige du Liban ? Voit-on tarir les eaux qui viennent de loin, fraîches et courantes ?
¿Faltará la nieve del Líbano de la piedra del campo? ¿faltarán las aguas frías que corren de lejanas tierras?
Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?
Will the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? Will the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?
Or mon peuple m'a oublié ; il offre de l'encens au néant. Les idoles les font chanceler dans leurs voies, les chemins d'autrefois, pour suivre des sentiers, une route non frayée ;
Porque mi pueblo me ha olvidado, incensando á la vanidad, y hácenles tropezar en sus caminos, en las sendas antiguas, para que caminen por sendas, por camino no hollado;
Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;
For my people have forgotten me. They have burned incense to false gods. They have been made to stumble in their ways in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up,
Pour faire de leur pays une désolation, un objet d'éternelle moquerie ; tous ceux qui y passeront seront stupéfaits ; et hocheront la tête.
Para poner su tierra en desolación, y en silbos perpetuos; todo aquel que pasare por ella se maravillará, y meneará su cabeza.
To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.

Pareil au vent d'orient, je les disperserai devant l'ennemi ; je leur montrerai le dos et non la face, au jour de leur désastre.
Como viento solano los esparciré delante del enemigo; mostraréles las espaldas, y no el rostro, en el día de su perdición.
I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will shew them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

Et ils ont dit : " Venez, formons un complot contre Jérémie ; car la loi ne périra pas chez le prêtre, ni le conseil chez le sage, ni la parole de Dieu chez le prophète ! Venez, frappons-le avec la langue, et ne prêtons pas l'oreille à tous ses discours. "
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
Prête moi l'oreille, Yahweh, et entends la voix de mes adversaires !
Oh Jehová, mira por mí, y oye la voz de los que contienden conmigo.
Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

Le mal sera-t-il rendu pour le bien, qu'ils creusent une fosse pour mon âme ? souviens-toi comment je me suis tenu devant toi, pour te parler en leur faveur, pour détourner d'eux ta colère.
¿Dase mal por bien, para que hayan cavado hoyo á mi alma? Acuérdate que me puse delante de ti para hablar bien por ellos, para apartar de ellos tu ira.
Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.

C'est pourquoi, livre leurs enfants à la famine, et abandonne-les au tranchant du glaive ! Que leurs femmes perdent leurs enfants et leurs époux ; que leurs hommes meurent par la peste, et que leurs jeunes gens soient frappés par l'épée dans le combat !
Por tanto, entrega sus hijos á hambre, y hazlos derramar por medio de la espada; y queden sus mujeres sin hijos, y viudas; y sus maridos sean puestos á muerte, y sus jóvenes heridos á cuchillo en la guerra.
Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Qu'on entende leur cri sortir de leurs maisons, quand tu feras venir subitement sur eux des bandes armées ! Car ils ont creusé une fosse pour me prendre, et ils ont caché des filets devant mes pieds.
Oigase clamor de sus casas, cuando trajeres sobre ellos ejército de repente: porque cavaron hoyo para prenderme, y á mis pies han escondido lazos.
Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.

Et toi, Yahweh, tu connais tous leurs complots pour me faire mourir. Ne pardonne pas leur iniquité, n'efface pas leur péché de devant toi ; qu'ils s'affaissent devant toi ; agis contre eux au temps de ta colère !
Mas tú, oh Jehová, conoces todo su consejo contra mí para muerte; no perdones su maldad, ni borres su pecado de delante de tu rostro: y tropiecen delante de ti; haz así con ellos en el tiempo de tu furor.
Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.
Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to kill me. Don’t forgive their iniquity. Don’t blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.
