Io adunque scesi in casa di un vasellaio, ed ecco, egli faceva il suo lavorio in su la ruota.

Non posso io fare a voi, o casa d'Israele, come ha fatto questo vasellaio? dice il Signore; ecco, siccome l'argilla è in man del vasellaio, così voi, o casa d'Israele, siete in mano mia.
¿No podré yo hacer de vosotros como este alfarero, oh casa de Israel, dice Jehová? He aquí que como el barro en la mano del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, oh casa de Israel.
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
“House of Israel, can’t I do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.
In uno stante io parlerò contro ad una nazione, o contro ad un regno, per divellere, per diroccare, e per distruggere.
En un instante hablaré contra gentes y contra reinos, para arrancar, y disipar, y destruir.

Ma se quella nazione, contro alla quale io avrò parlato, si converte dalla sua malvagità, io altresì mi pentirò del male che io avea pensato di farle.
Empero si esas gentes se convirtieren de su maldad, de que habré hablado, yo me arrepentiré del mal que había pensado hacerles.
If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

In uno stante parimente, parlerò in favore di una nazione, o di un regno, per piantare, e per edificare.

Ma se quel regno, o nazione fa quel che mi dispiace, non ascoltando la mia voce, io altresì mi pentirò del bene che io avea detto di fargli.
Pero si hiciere lo malo delante de mis ojos, no oyendo mi voz, arrepentiréme del bien que había determinado hacerle.
If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Ora dunque, parla pure agli uomini di Giuda, ed agli abitanti di Gerusalemme, dicendo: Così ha detto il Signore: Ecco, io formo contro a voi del male, e penso de' pensieri contro a voi; convertasi ora ciascun di voi dalla sua via malvagia, ed ammendate le vostre vie, ed i vostri fatti.
Ahora pues habla luego á todo hombre de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo dispongo mal contra vosotros, y trazo contra vosotros designios: conviértase ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras.
Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.
“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’
Ed essi dissero: Non vi è rimedio; perciocchè noi andremo dietro a' nostri pensieri, e faremo ciascuno secondo la durezza del cuor suo malvagio.
Y dijeron: Es por demás: porque en pos de nuestras imaginaciones hemos de ir, y hemos de hacer cada uno el pensamiento de su malvado corazón.
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”
Perciò, così ha detto il Signore: Deh! domandate fra le genti; chi ha mai udite cotali cose? la vergine d'Israele ha fatta una cosa molto brutta.
Por tanto, así dijo Jehová: Preguntad ahora á las gentes, quién tal haya oído. Gran fealdad ha hecho la virgen de Israel.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ask ye now among the heathen, who hath heard such things: the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

Lascerebbesi per lo sasso di un campo il nevoso Libano? abbandonerebbersi le acque pellegrine, fresche, e correnti?
¿Faltará la nieve del Líbano de la piedra del campo? ¿faltarán las aguas frías que corren de lejanas tierras?
Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which cometh from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?
Will the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? Will the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?
Conciossiachè il mio popolo mi abbia dimenticato, ed abbia fatti profumi a ciò che non è che vanità; e sia stato fatto intopparsi nelle sue vie, ch'erano sentieri antichi, per camminar per li sentieri di un cammino non appianato;
Porque mi pueblo me ha olvidado, incensando á la vanidad, y hácenles tropezar en sus caminos, en las sendas antiguas, para que caminen por sendas, por camino no hollado;
Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;
For my people have forgotten me. They have burned incense to false gods. They have been made to stumble in their ways in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up,
per mettere il lor paese in desolazione, e in zufolo, in perpetuo; onde chiunque passerà per esso stupirà, e scoterà la testa.
Para poner su tierra en desolación, y en silbos perpetuos; todo aquel que pasare por ella se maravillará, y meneará su cabeza.
To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.

Ed essi hanno detto: Venite, e facciamo delle macchinazioni contro a Geremia; perciocchè la Legge non verrà giammai meno dal sacerote, nè il consiglio dal savio, nè la parola dal profeta; venite, e percotiamolo con la lingua e non attendiamo a tutte le sue parole.
Y dijeron: Venid, y tracemos maquinaciones contra Jeremías; porque la ley no faltará del sacerdote, ni consejo del sabio, ni palabra del profeta. Venid é hirámoslo de lengua, y no miremos á todas sus palabras.
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
O Signore, attendi a me, ed ascolta la voce di quelli che contendono meco.
Oh Jehová, mira por mí, y oye la voz de los que contienden conmigo.

Devesi rendere mal per bene? conciossiachè essi abbiano cavata una fossa all'anima mia. Ricordati che io mi son presentato dinanzi a te, per parlare in favor loro, per istornar l'ira tua da loro.
¿Dase mal por bien, para que hayan cavado hoyo á mi alma? Acuérdate que me puse delante de ti para hablar bien por ellos, para apartar de ellos tu ira.
Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.

Perciò, abbandona i lor figliuoli alla fame, e falli cader per la spada; e sieno le lor mogli orbate di figliuoli, e vedove; e sieno i loro uomini uccisi, e morti; e sieno i lor giovani percossi dalla spada nella battaglia.
Por tanto, entrega sus hijos á hambre, y hazlos derramar por medio de la espada; y queden sus mujeres sin hijos, y viudas; y sus maridos sean puestos á muerte, y sus jóvenes heridos á cuchillo en la guerra.
Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Sieno udite le strida dalle case loro, quando in uno stante tu avrai fatte venir sopra loro delle schiere; perciocchè hanno cavata una fossa, per prendermi; ed hanno di nascosto tesi de' lacci a' miei piedi.
Oigase clamor de sus casas, cuando trajeres sobre ellos ejército de repente: porque cavaron hoyo para prenderme, y á mis pies han escondido lazos.

Ma tu, o Signore, conosci tutto il lor consiglio contro a me, che è di farmi morire; non fare il purgamento della loro iniquità, e non iscancellare il lor peccato dal tuo cospetto; anzi sieno traboccati davanti a te; opera contro a loro nel tempo della tua ira.
Mas tú, oh Jehová, conoces todo su consejo contra mí para muerte; no perdones su maldad, ni borres su pecado de delante de tu rostro: y tropiecen delante de ti; haz así con ellos en el tiempo de tu furor.
Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger.
Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to kill me. Don’t forgive their iniquity. Don’t blot out their sin from your sight, Let them be overthrown before you. Deal with them in the time of your anger.
