El mensaje del Señor llegó a Jeremías a partir del año trece del reinado de Josías, hijo de Amón, rey de Judá,
La palabra de Jehová que fué á él en los días de Josías hijo de Amón, rey de Judá, en el año décimotercio de su reinado.
To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

y desde el tiempo de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, hasta el quinto mes del undécimo año de Sedequías, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, que fue cuando el pueblo de Jerusalén partió al exilio.
Fué asimismo en días de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, hasta el fin del año undécimo de Sedechîas hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, hasta la cautividad de Jerusalem en el mes quinto.
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

El Señor vino y me dijo:
Fué pues palabra de Jehová á mí, diciendo:
Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Now the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
“Yo sabía exactamente quién serías antes de crearte en el vientre de tu madre; te elegí antes de que nacieras para que fueras profeta de las naciones”.
Antes que te formase en el vientre te conocí, y antes que salieses de la matriz te santifiqué, te dí por profeta á las gentes.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
“¡Oh, no, Señor Dios!” respondí. “¡De verdad que no sé hablar en público porque todavía soy demasiado joven!”.
Y yo dije: ¡Ah! ¡ah! ¡Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño.
Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”
“No digas que eres demasiado joven”, me dijo el Señor. “Ve a todos los lugares que yo te mande. Diles todo lo que te ordeno que digas.
Y díjome Jehová: No digas, soy niño; porque á todo lo que te enviaré irás tú, y dirás todo lo que te mandaré.
But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
But the LORD said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.
No les tengas miedo, porque yo iré contigo y te cuidaré. Esta es la promesa del Señor”.
No temas delante de ellos, porque contigo soy para librarte, dice Jehová.
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says the LORD.
El Señor extendió su mano, me tocó la boca y me dijo “Mira, he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.
Y extendió Jehová su mano, y tocó sobre mi boca; y díjome Jehová: He aquí he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.
Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
Then the LORD stretched out his hand and touched my mouth. Then the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
Hoy te he puesto sobre naciones y reinos para arrancar y derribar, para destruir y demoler, para construir y plantar”.
Mira que te he puesto en este día sobre gentes y sobre reinos, para arrancar y para destruir, y para arruinar y para derribar, y para edificar y para plantar.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
El mensaje del Señor llegó a mí, preguntando: “Jeremías, ¿qué ves?” “Veo una ramita de un almendro”, respondí.
Y la palabra de Jehová fué á mí, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Yo veo una vara de almendro.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
“Así es, porque estoy vigilante para que se cumpla lo que yo digo”, dijo el Señor.
Y díjome Jehová: Bien has visto; porque yo apresuro mi palabra para ponerla por obra.
Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”
El mensaje del Señor llegó de nuevo a mí, preguntando: “¿Qué ves?” “Veo una olla que está hirviendo”, respondí, “y se está inclinando en esta dirección desde el norte”.
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová segunda vez, diciendo: ¿Qué ves tú? Y dije: Yo veo una olla que hierve; y su haz está de la parte del aquilón.
And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
The LORD’s word came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”
Entonces el Señor me dijo: “Los problemas que se están gestando desde el norte arrasarán con todos los que viven en el país.
Y díjome Jehová: Del aquilón se soltará el mal sobre todos los moradores de la tierra.
Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
Then the LORD said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.
¡Presta atención! Voy a convocar a todas las naciones y a los reyes del norte”, declara el Señor. “Cada uno de estos reyes vendrá y pondrá sus tronos justo a la entrada de las puertas de Jerusalén, y atacará todas sus fortificaciones y todas las ciudades de Judá.
Porque he aquí que yo convoco todas las familias de los reinos del aquilón, dice Jehová; y vendrán, y pondrá cada uno su asiento á la entrada de las puertas de Jerusalem, y junto á todos sus muros en derredor, y en todas las ciudades de Judá.
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the LORD. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
Cumpliré mi sentencia contra los habitantes por toda su maldad, porque me abandonaron para ir quemar incienso a los dioses paganos, para adorar a los ídolos que ellos mismos fabricaron.
Y á causa de toda su malicia, proferiré mis juicios contra los que me dejaron, é incensaron á dioses extraños, y á hechuras de sus manos se encorvaron.
And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

“Tienes que prepararte. Vas a presentarte ante el pueblo y a decirles todo lo que yo te ordene. No tengas miedo de ellos, o yo te asustaré delante de ellos.
Tú pues, ciñe tus lomos, y te levantarás, y les hablarás todo lo que te mandaré: no temas delante de ellos, porque no te haga yo quebrantar delante de ellos.
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.
¡Presta atención! Hoy te he convertido en una ciudad fortificada, en una columna de hierro, en una muralla de bronce, para que te enfrentes a todo el país: contra los reyes de Judá, sus funcionarios, sus sacerdotes y toda la gente del país.
Porque he aquí que yo te he puesto en este día como ciudad fortalecida, y como columna de hierro, y como muro de bronce sobre toda la tierra, á los reyes de Judá, á sus príncipes, á sus sacerdotes, y al pueblo de la tierra.
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
For behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
Ellos lucharán contra ti, pero no te derrotarán, porque yo estaré allí para rescatarte”, declara el Señor.
Y pelearán contra ti, mas no te vencerán; porque yo soy contigo, dice Jehová, para librarte.
And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says the LORD, “to rescue you.”
