Jeremías 21

Certa ocasião, o rei Zedequias mandou Pasur, filho de Malquias, e o sacerdote Sofonias, filho de Maaseia, pedirem o seguinte ao profeta Jeremias:

PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, cuando el rey Sedechîas envió á él á Pashur hijo de Malchîas, y á Sephanías sacerdote, hijo de Maasías, que le dijesen:

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,

The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,

“Peça ao Senhor para nos ajudar. Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, está nos atacando! Quem sabe o Senhor não faria novamente um de seus grandes milagres, obrigando Nabucodonosor a nos deixar em paz”.

Pregunta ahora por nosotros á Jehová; porque Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia hace guerra contra nosotros: quizá Jehová hará con nosotros según todas sus maravillas, y aquél se irá de sobre nosotros.

Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.

“Please inquire of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may withdraw from us.”

Então Jeremias respondeu: “Digam a Zedequias:

Y Jeremías les dijo: Diréis así á Sedechîas:

Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah:

Then Jeremiah said to them, “Tell Zedekiah:

Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel: ‘Hoje vocês estão combatendo os exércitos de Nabucodonosor fora de Jerusalém, mas eu vou obrigar seus soldados a recuar! Eles não conseguirão deter o avanço dos caldeus e acabarão cercados em Jerusalém, lutando dentro dos muros da cidade.

Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: He aquí yo vuelvo las armas de guerra que están en vuestras manos, y con que vosotros peleáis con el rey de Babilonia; y los Caldeos que os tienen cercados fuera de la muralla, yo los juntaré en medio de esta ciudad.

Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.

‘The LORD, the God of Israel says, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will gather them into the middle of this city.

Eu mesmo vou lutar contra vocês, com meu grande poder, com ira, indignação e grande furor.

Y pelearé contra vosotros con mano alzada y con brazo fuerte, y con furor, y enojo, é ira grande:

And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation.

Vou encher Jerusalém com uma terrível epidemia; os moradores e os animais morrerão dessa epidemia.

Y heriré los moradores de esta ciudad; y los hombres y las bestias morirán de pestilencia grande.

And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and animal. They will die of a great pestilence.

Depois de tudo isso’, declara o Senhor, ‘entregarei Zedequias, rei de Judá, os seus servos e todo o povo que conseguir escapar da guerra, da fome e da peste, nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, nas mãos dos inimigos deles e daqueles que querem tirar-lhes a vida. Nabucodonosor não vai ter piedade nem misericórdia de ninguém; mandará matar muita gente à espada’.

Y después, así dice Jehová, entregaré á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y á sus criados, y al pueblo, y á los que quedaren en la ciudad de la pestilencia, y del cuchillo, y del hambre, en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y en mano de sus enemigos, y en mano de los que buscan sus almas; y él los herirá á filo de espada; no los perdonará, ni los recibirá á merced, ni tendrá de ellos misericordia.

And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.

Afterward,” says the LORD, “I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants, and the people, even those who are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life. He will strike them with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them, have pity, or have mercy.”’

“Digam a esse povo: Assim diz o Senhor: ‘Vocês têm uma escolha a fazer: o caminho da vida e o caminho da morte!

Y á este pueblo dirás: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí pongo delante de vosotros camino de vida y camino de muerte.

And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

“You shall say to this people, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

Quem vier se proteger em Jerusalém, acabará morrendo pela espada, pela fome ou pela peste. Mas quem sair de Jerusalém e se render aos exércitos caldeus que cercam a cidade, viverá; este escapará com vida.

El que se quedare en esta ciudad, morirá á cuchillo, ó de hambre, ó pestilencia: mas el que saliere, y se pasare á los Caldeos que os tienen cercados, vivirá, y su vida le será por despojo.

He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.

He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but he who goes out and passes over to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he will live, and he will escape with his life.

Estou firmemente decidido a fazer o mal e não o bem a esta cidade’, diz o Senhor. ‘Sou inimigo de Jerusalém e entregarei a cidade nas mãos do rei da Babilônia. Jerusalém será queimada de alto a baixo, de um lado ao outro’.

Porque mi rostro he puesto contra esta ciudad para mal, y no para bien, dice Jehová: en mano del rey de Babilonia será entregada, y quemarála á fuego.

For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.

For I have set my face on this city for evil, and not for good,” says the LORD. “It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will burn it with fire.”’

“E este é o aviso do Senhor ao rei de Judá e à família real: Ouçam o que diz o Senhor!

Y á la casa del rey de Judá dirás: Oid palabra de Jehová.

And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

“Concerning the house of the king of Judah, hear the LORD’s word:

Ó dinastia de Davi, assim diz o Senhor: “ ‘Comecem imediatamente a fazer justiça; não deixem mais o pobre ser explorado pelo rico. Se vocês não fizerem isso, o fogo da minha ira vai se acender por causa dos seus terríveis pecados, um fogo que ninguém será capaz de apagar!

Casa de David, así dijo Jehová: Juzgad de mañana juicio, y librad al oprimido de mano del opresor; porque mi ira no salga como fuego, y se encienda, y no haya quien apague, por la maldad de vuestras obras.

O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

House of David, the LORD says, ‘Execute justice in the morning, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire, and burn so that no one can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Eu vou lutar contra Jerusalém, contra você que está entronizada acima deste vale no planalto rochoso’, declara o Senhor. ‘Vou lutar contra esse povo que diz: Estamos seguros aqui. Quem seria capaz de chegar até aqui para nos atacar?

He aquí yo contra ti, moradora del valle de la piedra de la llanura, dice Jehová: los que decís: ¿Quién subirá contra nosotros? ¿y quién entrará en nuestras moradas?

Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?

Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, and of the rock of the plain,’ says the LORD. ‘You that say, “Who would come down against us?” or, “Who would enter into our homes?”

Eu mesmo vou castigar todos vocês por causa de todas as suas obras’, diz o Senhor. ‘Esta cidade vai ser como uma floresta em chamas; o fogo que vou acender vai consumir tudo o que está ao seu redor’ ”.

Yo os visitaré conforme al fruto de vuestras obras, dice Jehová, y haré encender fuego en su breña, y consumirá todo lo que está alrededor de ella.

But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it.

I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings,’ says the LORD; ‘and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it will devour all that is around her.’”
