Jeremías 22

¿Piensas tú, oh rey Joakim, que reinarás mucho tiempo, pues te comparas con el cedro? ¿Por ventura tu padre, el piadoso Josías, no comió y bebió, y fue feliz gobernando con rectitud y justicia?

¿Reinarás porque te cercas de cedro? ¿no comió y bebió tu padre, é hizo juicio y justicia, y entonces le fué bien?

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

“Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
