Jeremías 24

1*L’Éternel me fit voir [une vision], et voici deux paniers de figues, posés devant le temple de l’Éternel, après que Nebucadretsar, roi de Babylone, eut transporté de Jérusalem Jéconias, fils de Jehoïakim, roi de Juda, et les princes de Juda, et les charpentiers, et les forgerons, et qu’il les eut emmenés à Babylone.
2L’un des paniers avait de très bonnes figues, comme les figues de la première saison ; et l’autre panier avait de très mauvaises figues qu’on ne pouvait manger, tant elles étaient mauvaises.
3Et l’Éternel me dit : Que vois-tu, Jérémie ? Et je dis : Des figues ; les bonnes figues, très bonnes, et les mauvaises, très mauvaises, qui ne peuvent être mangées, tant elles sont mauvaises.
4Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant :
5Ainsi dit l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël : Comme [tu vois] ces bonnes figues, ainsi je me souviendrai, en bien, des transportés de Juda, que j’ai envoyés hors de ce lieu au pays des Chaldéens ;
6et je mettrai mes yeux sur eux pour [leur] bien, et je les ferai retourner dans ce pays ; et je les bâtirai et je ne les renverserai pas, et je les planterai, et je ne les arracherai pas.
7Et je leur donnerai un cœur pour me connaître, car moi je suis l’Éternel ; et ils seront mon peuple, et moi je serai leur Dieu ; car ils retourneront à moi de tout leur cœur.
8Et comme les figues mauvaises qu’on ne peut manger, tant elles sont mauvaises,… oui, ainsi dit l’Éternel, tels je rendrai Sédécias, le roi de Juda, et ses princes, et le reste de Jérusalem, qui sont de reste dans ce pays, et ceux qui habitent dans le pays d’Égypte ;
9et je les livrerai pour être chassés çà et là par tous les royaumes de la terre, pour leur malheur, pour être en opprobre et en proverbe, un objet de raillerie et de malédiction, dans tous les lieux où je les chasserai ;
10et j’enverrai contre eux l’épée, la famine, et la peste, jusqu’à ce qu’ils soient consumés de dessus la terre que je leur ai donnée, à eux et à leurs pères.

1MOSTRÓME Jehová, y he aquí dos cestas de higos puestas delante del templo de Jehová, después de haber trasportado Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á los príncipes de Judá, y á los oficiales y herreros de Jerusalem, y haberlos llevado á Babilonia.
2La una cesta tenía higos muy buenos, como brevas; y la otra cesta tenía higos muy malos, que no se podían comer de malos.
3Y díjome Jehová: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Higos, higos buenos, muy buenos; y malos, muy malos, que de malos no se pueden comer.
4Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
5Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Como á estos buenos higos, así conoceré la trasportación de Judá al cual eché de este lugar á tierra de Caldeos, para bien.
6Porque pondré mis ojos sobre ellos para bien, y volverélos á esta tierra; y los edificaré, y no los destruiré: plantarélos, y no los arrancaré.
7Y les daré corazón para que me conozcan, que yo soy Jehová: y me serán por pueblo, y yo les seré á ellos por Dios; porque se volverán á mí de todo su corazón.
8Y como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer, así, ha dicho Jehová, daré á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y á sus príncipes, y al resto de Jerusalem que quedaron en esta tierra, y que moran en la tierra de Egipto.
9Y darélos por escarnio, por mal á todos los reinos de la tierra: por infamia, y por ejemplo, y por refrán, y por maldición á todos los lugares adonde yo los arrojaré.
10Y enviaré sobre ellos espada, hambre, y pestilencia, hasta que sean acabados de sobre la tierra que les dí á ellos y á sus padres.

1The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
4Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
6For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
8And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
9And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
10And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.

1The LORD showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before the LORD’s temple, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
2One basket had very good figs, like the figs that are first-ripe; and the other basket had very bad figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3Then the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so bad that they can’t be eaten.”
4The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
5“The LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, as good.
6For I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land. I will build them, and not pull them down. I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.
8“‘As the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, they are so bad,’ surely the LORD says, ‘So I will give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.
9I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I will drive them.
