Yahweh mostrou-me duas cestas de figos que estavam diante do templo de Yahweh. (Esta visão aconteceu depois que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, levou para exílio Joaquim, filho de Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, os oficiais de Judá, o artesão e os ferreiros de Jerusalém e os trouxe à Babilônia).
MOSTRÓME Jehová, y he aquí dos cestas de higos puestas delante del templo de Jehová, después de haber trasportado Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á los príncipes de Judá, y á los oficiales y herreros de Jerusalem, y haberlos llevado á Babilonia.
The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

Uma das cestas de figos era muito boa, como os primeiros figos maduros, mas na outra cesta os figos eram tão ruins que eles não podiam ser comidos.
La una cesta tenía higos muy buenos, como brevas; y la otra cesta tenía higos muy malos, que no se podían comer de malos.
One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

Yahweh me disse: "O que vês, Jeremias?" Eu respondi: "Figos. Figos que estão muito bons e figos que estão tão ruins que não podem ser comidos."
Y díjome Jehová: ¿Qué ves tú, Jeremías? Y dije: Higos, higos buenos, muy buenos; y malos, muy malos, que de malos no se pueden comer.
Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
Then the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so bad that they can’t be eaten.”
Então a palavra de Yahweh veio a mim, dizendo:
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

"Yahweh, Deus de Israel, diz isto: Eu olharei para os exilados de Judá, para o benefício deles, justamente como estes bons figos, os exilados que mandei para fora deste lugar, para a terra dos babilônios.
Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel: Como á estos buenos higos, así conoceré la trasportación de Judá al cual eché de este lugar á tierra de Caldeos, para bien.
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
“The LORD, the God of Israel says: ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans, as good.
Eu colocarei neles os Meus olhos para o bem e os restaurarei a esta terra. Eu os edificarei, e não os derrubarei. Eu os plantarei e não os arrancarei.
Porque pondré mis ojos sobre ellos para bien, y volverélos á esta tierra; y los edificaré, y no los destruiré: plantarélos, y no los arrancaré.
For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

Então, Eu lhes darei um coração para Me conhecer, pois Eu sou Yahweh. Eles serão Meu povo e Eu serei seu Deus. Eles se voltarão a Mim com todo o seu coração.
Y les daré corazón para que me conozcan, que yo soy Jehová: y me serán por pueblo, y yo les seré á ellos por Dios; porque se volverán á mí de todo su corazón.
And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Mas como os figos ruins, que estão tão ruins que não podem ser comidos, isso é o que Yahweh diz: 'Eu agirei desta maneira com Zedequias, rei de Judá, com seus oficiais e o resto de Jerusalém que restar nesta terra ou que ficar na terra do Egito.
Y como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer, así, ha dicho Jehová, daré á Sedechîas rey de Judá, y á sus príncipes, y al resto de Jerusalem que quedaron en esta tierra, y que moran en la tierra de Egipto.
And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
“‘As the bad figs, which can’t be eaten, they are so bad,’ surely the LORD says, ‘So I will give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.
Eu os transformarei em algo assustador, um desastre à vista de todos os reinos da terra, uma desgraça e assunto para provérbios, provocações e maldições em todos os lugares onde Eu os levar.
Y darélos por escarnio, por mal á todos los reinos de la tierra: por infamia, y por ejemplo, y por refrán, y por maldición á todos los lugares adonde yo los arrojaré.
And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
I will even give them up to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I will drive them.
Eu enviarei a espada, a fome e a praga contra eles, até que sejam destruídos da terra que dei a eles e aos seus antepassados."
Y enviaré sobre ellos espada, hambre, y pestilencia, hasta que sean acabados de sobre la tierra que les dí á ellos y á sus padres.
And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
