19Ezechia, re di Giuda, e tutto Giuda, lo fecero eglino perciò morire? anzi non temette egli il Signore, e non supplicò egli al Signore? Laonde il Signore si pentì del male che egli avea ronunziato contro a loro. Noi dunque facciamo un gran male contro alle anime nostre.

19¿Matáronlo luego Ezechîas rey de Judá y todo Judá? ¿no temió á Jehová, y oró en presencia de Jehová, y Jehová se arrepintió del mal que había hablado contra ellos? ¿Haremos pues nosotros tan grande mal contra nuestras almas?

19Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.

19Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Didn’t he fear the LORD, and entreat the favor of the LORD, and the LORD relented of the disaster which he had pronounced against them? We would commit great evil against our own souls that way!”
