Entonces Ajicán, hijo de Safán, secretario del rey, estuvo a favor de Jeremías y persuadió al tribunal para que no lo entregara a la muerte en manos del populacho.

La mano empero de Ahicam hijo de Saphán era con Jeremías, porque no lo entregasen en las manos del pueblo para matarlo.
