Así ha dicho Jehová: Ponte en el atrio de la casa de Jehová, y habla á todas las ciudades de Judá, que vienen para adorar en la casa de Jehová, todas las palabras que yo te mandé les hablases; no retengas palabra.
Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
“The LORD says: ‘Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Don’t omit a word.
Take up Or, shields arms and spears, and draw nigh to battle;
Quizá oirán, y se tornarán cada uno de su mal camino; y arrepentiréme yo del mal que pienso hacerles por la maldad de sus obras.
If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
It may be they will listen, and every man turn from his evil way, that I may relent from the evil which I intend to do to them because of the evil of their doings.’”
and harness the horses: mount, ye horsemen, and stand ready in your helmets; advance the spears, and put on your breast-plates.
Les dirás pues: Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no me oyereis para andar en mi ley, la cual dí delante de vosotros,
And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,

Para atender á las palabras de mis siervos los profetas que yo os envío, madrugando en enviarlos, á los cuales no habéis oído;

Let not the swift flee, and let not the mighty man escape to the north: the forces at Euphrates are become feeble, and they have fallen.
Yo pondré esta casa como Silo, y daré esta ciudad en maldición á todas las gentes de la tierra.

Y los sacerdotes, los profetas, y todo el pueblo, oyeron á Jeremías hablar estas palabras en la casa de Jehová.

¿Por qué has profetizado en nombre de Jehová, diciendo: Esta casa será como Silo, y esta ciudad será asolada hasta no quedar morador? Y juntóse todo el pueblo contra Jeremías en la casa de Jehová.
Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

And that day shall be to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on his enemies: and the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood: for the Lord has a sacrifice from the land of the north at the river Euphrates.

En lo que á mí toca, he aquí estoy en vuestras manos: haced de mí como mejor y más recto os pareciere.

But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.

And thy multitude has fainted and fallen; and each one said to his neighbour, Let us arise, and return into our country to our people, from the Grecian sword.
Y dijeron los príncipes y todo el pueblo á los sacerdotes y profetas. No ha incurrido este hombre en pena de muerte, porque en nombre de Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha hablado.

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.

Egypt is a fair heifer, but destruction from the north is come upon her.
Hubo también un hombre que profetizaba en nombre de Jehová, Urías, hijo de Semaías de Chîriath-jearim, el cual profetizó contra esta ciudad y contra esta tierra, conforme á todas las palabras de Jeremías:
And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjath-jearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah:

La mano empero de Ahicam hijo de Saphán era con Jeremías, porque no lo entregasen en las manos del pueblo para matarlo.
