Au début du règne de Joïakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, la parole que voici arriva de la part de l'Eternel:
EN el principio del reinado de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, fué esta palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word from the LORD, saying,

Ainsi parle l'Eternel: "Tiens-toi dans la cour de la maison de l'Eternel, et adresse aux gens de toutes les villes de Juda qui sont venus se prosterner dans la maison de l'Eternel toutes les paroles que je t'ordonne de leur adresser; n'en retranche pas un mot.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Ponte en el atrio de la casa de Jehová, y habla á todas las ciudades de Judá, que vienen para adorar en la casa de Jehová, todas las palabras que yo te mandé les hablases; no retengas palabra.
Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
“The LORD says: ‘Stand in the court of the LORD’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah which come to worship in the LORD’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Don’t omit a word.
Peut-être écouteront-ils, se repentiront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise conduite et pourrai-je révoquer le malheur que je me propose de leur infliger à cause de la perversité de leurs actes.
Quizá oirán, y se tornarán cada uno de su mal camino; y arrepentiréme yo del mal que pienso hacerles por la maldad de sus obras.
If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
It may be they will listen, and every man turn from his evil way, that I may relent from the evil which I intend to do to them because of the evil of their doings.’”
Tu leur diras donc: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Si vous refusez de m'écouter, de suivre ma doctrine que j'ai promulguée devant vous,
Les dirás pues: Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no me oyereis para andar en mi ley, la cual dí delante de vosotros,
And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,
You shall tell them, “The LORD says: ‘If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law which I have set before you,
d'obéir aux paroles de mes serviteurs les prophètes que sans cesse et dès la première heure j'envoie vers vous, sans que vous leur prêtiez attention,
Para atender á las palabras de mis siervos los profetas que yo os envío, madrugando en enviarlos, á los cuales no habéis oído;
To hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and sending them, but ye have not hearkened;
to listen to the words of my servants the prophets whom I send to you, even rising up early and sending them—but you have not listened—
je traiterai cette maison pareillement à silo, et de cette ville je ferai un objet de malédiction pour tous les peuples de la terre."
Yo pondré esta casa como Silo, y daré esta ciudad en maldición á todas las gentes de la tierra.
Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Or, les prêtres, les prophètes et tout le peuple entendirent Jérémie prononcer ces paroles dans la maison de Dieu.
Y los sacerdotes, los profetas, y todo el pueblo, oyeron á Jeremías hablar estas palabras en la casa de Jehová.

Et quand Jérémie eut achevé de dire ce que l'Eternel lui avait ordonné de dire à tout le peuple, les prêtres, les prophètes et tout le peuple se saisirent de lui en s'écriant: "Il faut que tu meures!
Y fué que, acabando de hablar Jeremías todo lo que Jehová le había mandado que hablase á todo el pueblo, los sacerdotes y los profetas y todo el pueblo le echaron mano, diciendo: De cierto morirás.
Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.

Pourquoi as-tu prophétisé au nom de l'Eternel en disant: Cette maison deviendra semblable à silo, et cette ville sera ruinée, privée d'habitants?" Tout le peuple s'attroupa autour de Jérémie dans la maison de Dieu.
¿Por qué has profetizado en nombre de Jehová, diciendo: Esta casa será como Silo, y esta ciudad será asolada hasta no quedar morador? Y juntóse todo el pueblo contra Jeremías en la casa de Jehová.
Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
Why have you prophesied in the LORD’s name, saying, ‘This house will be like Shiloh, and this city will be desolate, without inhabitant’?” All the people were crowded around Jeremiah in the LORD’s house.
Lorsque les grands de Juda eurent connaissance de ces faits, ils se rendirent du palais du roi au Temple de l'Eternel et prirent place à l'entrée de la porte Neuve de l'Eternel.
Y los príncipes de Judá oyeron estas cosas, y subieron de casa del rey á la casa de Jehová; y sentáronse en la entrada de la puerta nueva de Jehová.
When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king’s house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD’s house.

Alors les prêtres et les prophètes dirent aux grands et à tout le peuple: "Cet homme mérite la mort, car il a prophétisé contre cette ville, comme vous l'avez entendu de vos propres oreilles. "
Entonces hablaron los sacerdotes y los profetas á los príncipes y á todo el pueblo, diciendo: En pena de muerte ha incurrido este hombre; porque profetizó contra esta ciudad, como vosotros habéis oído con vuestros oídos.
Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.

Jérémie, s'adressant à tous les grands et au peuple entier, leur dit: "C'est l'Eternel qui m'a envoyé pour prophétiser contre cette maison et contre cette ville toutes les paroles que vous avez entendues.
Y habló Jeremías á todos los príncipes y á todo el pueblo, diciendo: Jehová me envió á que profetizase contra esta casa y contra esta ciudad, todas las palabras que habéis oído.

Or, donc, améliorez votre conduite et vos oeuvres, écoutez la voix de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, pour que l'Eternel révoque le malheur qu'il a décrété contre vous.
Y ahora, mejorad vuestros caminos y vuestras obras, y oid la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios, y arrepentiráse Jehová del mal que ha hablado contra vosotros.
Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.

Quant à moi, je suis en votre pouvoir, traitez-moi comme il vous paraîtra bon et équitable.
En lo que á mí toca, he aquí estoy en vuestras manos: haced de mí como mejor y más recto os pareciere.
As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.
But as for me, behold, I am in your hand. Do with me what is good and right in your eyes.
Toutefois, sachez bien que si vous me faites mourir, c'est du sang innocent que vous répandez sur vous, sur cette ville et ses habitants; car, en vérité, c'est l'Eternel qui m'a envoyé vers vous, pour faire entrer dans vos oreilles tous ces discours que je tiens."
Mas sabed de cierto que, si me matareis, sangre inocente echaréis sobre vosotros, y sobre esta ciudad, y sobre sus moradores: porque en verdad Jehová me envió á vosotros para que dijese todas estas palabras en vuestros oídos.
But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city, and on its inhabitants; for in truth the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your ears.”
Alors les grands et tout le peuple dirent aux prêtres et aux prophètes: "Cet homme ne mérite pas la mort, car c'est au nom de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, qu'il nous a parlé."
Y dijeron los príncipes y todo el pueblo á los sacerdotes y profetas. No ha incurrido este hombre en pena de muerte, porque en nombre de Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha hablado.
Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.
Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets: “This man is not worthy of death; for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.”
Puis, quelques-uns parmi les anciens du pays se levèrent et s'adressèrent en ces termes à toute l'assemblée du peuple:
Entonces se levantaron ciertos de los ancianos de la tierra, y hablaron á toda la junta del pueblo, diciendo:
Then rose up certain of the elders of the land, and spake to all the assembly of the people, saying,

"Michée, de Moréchet, prophétisait du temps d'Ezechias, roi de Juda, et voici ce qu'il disait à tout le peuple de Juda: Ainsi a parlé l'Eternel-Cébaoth: Sion sera labourée comme un champ, Jérusalem deviendra un monceau de ruines et la montagne du Temple une hauteur boisée.
Miqueas de Morasti profetizó en tiempo de Ezechîas rey de Judá, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Sión será arada como campo, y Jerusalem vendrá á ser montones, y el monte del templo en cumbres de bosque.
Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
“Micah the Morashtite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies says: “‘Zion will be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.’
Ezéchias, roi de Juda, et tout le peuple de Juda l'ont-ils condamné à mourir? N'a-t-on pas craint l'Eternel et cherché à apaiser sa colère? Aussi l'Eternel révoqua-t-il le mal qu'il avait décrété contre eux; et nous, nous chargerions nos âmes d'un si grand crime!"
¿Matáronlo luego Ezechîas rey de Judá y todo Judá? ¿no temió á Jehová, y oró en presencia de Jehová, y Jehová se arrepintió del mal que había hablado contra ellos? ¿Haremos pues nosotros tan grande mal contra nuestras almas?
Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great evil against our souls.
Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Didn’t he fear the LORD, and entreat the favor of the LORD, and the LORD relented of the disaster which he had pronounced against them? We would commit great evil against our own souls that way!”
Il y eut encore un homme qui prophétisait au nom de l'Eternel: c'était Ouria, fils de Chemaya, de Kiriat-Yearim. II prophétisait contre cette ville et contre ce pays exactement dans les mêmes termes que Jérémie.
Hubo también un hombre que profetizaba en nombre de Jehová, Urías, hijo de Semaías de Chîriath-jearim, el cual profetizó contra esta ciudad y contra esta tierra, conforme á todas las palabras de Jeremías:
And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjath-jearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah:
There was also a man who prophesied in the LORD’s name, Uriah the son of Shemaiah of Kiriath Jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah.
Le roi Joïakim eut connaissance de ses discours ainsi que tous ses hommes de guerre et tous les grands, et il chercha à le mettre à mort. Ouria en fut informé, il prit peur, s'enfuit et se rendit en Egypte.
Y oyó sus palabras el rey Joacim, y todos sus grandes, y todos sus príncipes, y el rey procuró de matarle; lo cual entendiendo Urías, tuvo temor, y huyó, y metióse en Egipto:
And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt;

Alors le roi Joïakim envoya des gens en Egypte: c'était Elnathan, fils d'Akhbor, et quelques autres avec lui pour l'accompagner en Egypte.

Ils firent sortir Ouria hors d'Egypte et l'amenèrent au roi Joïakim, qui le fit périr par le glaive et ordonna de jeter son cadavre parmi les tombes du bas peuple.
Los cuales sacaron á Urías de Egipto, y lo trajeron al rey Joacim, é hiriólo á cuchillo, y echó su cuerpo en los sepulcros del vulgo.
And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people.

Toutefois, Ahi'kam, fils de Chafan, protégea Jérémie et empêcha qu'il ne fût livré au pouvoir du peuple et mis à mort.
La mano empero de Ahicam hijo de Saphán era con Jeremías, porque no lo entregasen en las manos del pueblo para matarlo.
Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
