Jeremías 27

1Cuando Sedequías, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, se convirtió en rey por primera vez, esta palabra vino a Jeremías de parte del Señor, diciendo:
2Esto es lo que el Señor me ha dicho: hazte bandas y yugos y colócalos en tu cuello;
3Y envíalos al rey de Edom, al rey de Moab, al rey de los hijos de Amón, al rey de Tiro y al rey de Sidón, por medio de sus mensajeros que vienen a Jerusalén, a ver a Sedequías, rey de Judá;
4Y dales órdenes de decirles a sus amos: Esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: di a tus amos:
5He hecho la tierra, y el hombre y la bestia sobre la faz de la tierra, por mi gran poder y por mi brazo extendido; y se lo daré a cualquiera a mi gusto.
6Y ahora he entregado todas estas tierras en manos de Nabucodonosor, el rey de Babilonia, mi siervo; y le he dado las bestias del campo para su uso.
7Y todas las naciones serán siervos de él, y de su hijo, y del hijo de su hijo, hasta que llegue el momento de que su tierra sea vencida, y luego varias naciones y grandes reyes la tomarán para su uso.
8Y sucederá que, si alguna nación no sierve de este mismo Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y no pone su cuello bajo el yugo del rey de Babilonia, entonces enviaré un castigo sobre esa Nación, dice el Señor, por la espada, hambre y por pestilencia, hasta que yo los haya entregado en sus manos.
9Y no deben prestar atención a sus profetas ni a sus adivinos, ni a sus intérpretes de sueños, ni a los hechiceros que pretenden ver el futuro y que les dicen: No se sometan al rey de Babilonia.
10Porque les dicen palabras falsas, para que los puedan enviar lejos de su tierra, y para que puedas ser expulsado por mí y llegar a la destrucción.
11Pero en cuanto a esa nación que pone su cuello bajo el yugo del rey de Babilonia y se convierte en su sirviente, dejaré que esa nación continúe en su tierra, y la cultive y viviendo en ella, dice el Señor.
12Y dije todo esto a Sedequías, rey de Judá, diciendo: “Pongan sus cuellos bajo el yugo del rey de Babilonia y conviértanse en sus siervos y su pueblo, para que puedan guardar sus vidas”.
13¿Por qué deseas la muerte, tú y tu pueblo, a espada, de hambre, y por enfermedad, como el Señor ha dicho de la nación que no se convierta en el siervo del rey de Babilonia?
14Y no debes escuchar a los profetas que te dicen: No se sometan en siervos del rey de Babilonia, porque lo que dicen no es cierto.
15Porque no los he enviado, dice el Señor, pero ellos dicen lo que es falso en mi nombre, para que yo pueda enviarlos por la fuerza, causando destrucción sobre ustedes y sobre sus profetas.
16Y dije a los sacerdotes y a todo el pueblo: Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor: No prestes atención a las palabras de tus profetas que te dicen: Mira, dentro de muy poco tiempo, las vasijas de la casa del Señor volverán de Babilonia, porque lo que te dicen es falso.
17No les prestes atención; conviértanse en siervos del rey de Babilonia y manténganse lejos de la muerte; ¿por qué dejar que este pueblo sea un montón de ruinas?
18Pero si son profetas, y si la palabra del Señor está con ellos, ahora pidan al Señor de los ejércitos que los vasos que aún están en la casa del Señor y en la casa del rey de Judá y en Jerusalén, no sean llevados a Babilonia.
19Porque esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho sobre el resto de los vasos que todavía están en esta ciudad,
20Que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, no se llevó, cuando tomó a Jeconías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, prisionero de Jerusalén a Babilonia, con todos los grandes hombres de Judá y Jerusalén;
21Porque esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho acerca del resto de los vasos en la casa del Señor y en la casa del rey de Judá y en Jerusalén:
22Serán llevados a Babilonia, y allí estarán hasta el día en que les envíe su castigo, dice el Señor. Luego los tomaré y los pondré en su lugar.

1EN el principio del reinado de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, fué de Jehová esta palabra á Jeremías, diciendo:
2Jehová me ha dicho así: Hazte coyundas y yugos, y ponlos sobre tu cuello;
3Y los enviarás al rey de Edom, y al rey de Moab, y al rey de los hijos de Ammón, y al rey de Tiro, y al rey de Sidón, por mano de los embajadores que vienen á Jerusalem á Sedechîas, rey de Judá.
4Y les mandarás que digan á sus señores: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Así habéis de decir á vuestros señores:
5Yo hice la tierra, el hombre y las bestias que están sobre la haz de la tierra, con mi grande potencia y con mi brazo extendido, y díla á quien me plugo.
6Y ahora yo he dado todas estas tierras en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, mi siervo, y aun las bestias del campo le he dado para que le sirvan.
7Y todas las gentes le servirán á él, y á su hijo, y al hijo de su hijo, hasta que venga también el tiempo de su misma tierra; y le servirán muchas gentes y reyes grandes.
8Y será, que la gente y el reino que no sirviere á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y que no pusiere su cuello debajo del yugo del rey de Babilonia, con espada y con hambre y con pestilencia visitaré á la tal gente, dice Jehová, hasta que los acabe yo por su mano.
9Y vosotros no prestéis oído á vuestros profetas, ni á vuestros adivinos, ni á vuestros sueños, ni á vuestros agoreros, ni á vuestros encantadores, que os hablan diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia.
10Porque ellos os profetizan mentira, por haceros alejar de vuestra tierra, y para que yo os arroje y perezcáis.
11Mas la gente que sometiere su cuello al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y le sirviere, haréla dejar en su tierra, dice Jehová, y labrarála, y morará en ella.
12Y hablé también á Sedechîas rey de Judá conforme á todas estas palabras, diciendo: Someted vuestros cuellos al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y servid á él y á su pueblo, y vivid.
13¿Por qué moriréis, tú y tu pueblo, á cuchillo, de hambre, y pestilencia, según ha dicho Jehová á la gente que no sirviere al rey de Babilonia?
14No oigáis las palabras de los profetas que os hablan, diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia; porque os profetizan mentira.
15Porque yo no los envié, dice Jehová, y ellos profetizan falsamente en mi nombre, para que yo os arroje, y perezcáis, vosotros y los profetas que os profetizan.
16También á los sacerdotes y á todo este pueblo hablé, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: No oigáis las palabras de vuestros profetas que os profetizan diciendo: He aquí que los vasos de la casa de Jehová volverán de Babilonia ahora presto. Porque os profetizan mentira.
17No los oigáis; servid al rey de Babilonia, y vivid: ¿por qué ha de ser desierta esta ciudad?
18Y si ellos son profetas, y si es con ellos palabra de Jehová, oren ahora á Jehová de los ejércitos, que los vasos que han quedado en la casa de Jehová y en la casa del rey de Judá y en Jerusalem, no vayan á Babilonia.
19Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos de aquellas columnas, y del mar, y de las basas, y del resto de los vasos que quedan en esta ciudad,
20Que no quitó Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, cuando trasportó de Jerusalem á Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á todos los nobles de Judá y de Jerusalem:
21Así pues ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de los vasos que quedaron en la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey de Judá, y en Jerusalem:
22A Babilonia serán trasportados, y allí estarán hasta el día en que yo los visitaré, dice Jehová; y después los haré subir, y restituirélos á este lugar.

1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
2Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
3And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
4And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
5I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
6And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
7And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
8And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
11But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
15For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
16Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
17Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
18But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
19For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
20Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

4Give them a command to their masters, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says, “You shall tell your masters:

13Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
15For I have not sent them,” says the LORD, “but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”
16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, the LORD says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
17Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?
18But if they are prophets, and if the LORD’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the LORD’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
19For the LORD of Armies says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
