Este mensaje del Señor recibió Jeremías al comienzo del reinado de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá:
EN el principio del reinado de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, fué de Jehová esta palabra á Jeremías, diciendo:
In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

Hazte un yugo y póntelo al cuello atado con correas como quien enyuga un buey para arar.
Jehová me ha dicho así: Hazte coyundas y yugos, y ponlos sobre tu cuello;
Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
the LORD says to me: “Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck.
Envía luego mensaje a los reyes de Edom, Moab, Amón, Tiro y Sidón, mediante sus embajadores en Jerusalén,
Y los enviarás al rey de Edom, y al rey de Moab, y al rey de los hijos de Ammón, y al rey de Tiro, y al rey de Sidón, por mano de los embajadores que vienen á Jerusalem á Sedechîas, rey de Judá.
And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
Then send them to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the children of Ammon, to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
a los cuales dirás: Digan a sus amos que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, les envía este mensaje:
Y les mandarás que digan á sus señores: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Así habéis de decir á vuestros señores:
And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
Give them a command to their masters, saying, ‘The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says, “You shall tell your masters:
Por mi gran poder yo hice la tierra; toda la humanidad y todos los animales, y esto, que es mío, lo doy a quien quiero.
Yo hice la tierra, el hombre y las bestias que están sobre la haz de la tierra, con mi grande potencia y con mi brazo extendido, y díla á quien me plugo.
I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
‘I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.
Así, ahora he entregado todas sus naciones al rey Nabucodonosor de Babilonia, que es representante mío. Y le he entregado a él todo el ganado de sus amos.
Y ahora yo he dado todas estas tierras en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, mi siervo, y aun las bestias del campo le he dado para que le sirvan.
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

Todas las naciones le servirán a Nabucodonosor y a sus hijos y nietos hasta que le llegue su turno de ser castigado, y entonces muchas naciones y poderosos reyes conquistarán Babilonia y la harán su esclava.
Y todas las gentes le servirán á él, y á su hijo, y al hijo de su hijo, hasta que venga también el tiempo de su misma tierra; y le servirán muchas gentes y reyes grandes.
And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.
¡Pero ahora sométanse a Nabucodonosor y sírvanle, pórtense sumisos ante Babilonia! Castigaré a cualquier nación que se niegue a ser esclava suya; enviaré guerra, hambre y enfermedad sobre dicha nación hasta que él la haya conquistado.
Y será, que la gente y el reino que no sirviere á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y que no pusiere su cuello debajo del yugo del rey de Babilonia, con espada y con hambre y con pestilencia visitaré á la tal gente, dice Jehová, hasta que los acabe yo por su mano.
And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
“‘“‘It will happen that I will punish the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon,’ says the LORD, ‘with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
No escuchen a sus falsos profetas, adivinos, soñadores, agoreros y magos que dicen que el rey de Babilonia no los someterá a esclavitud,
Y vosotros no prestéis oído á vuestros profetas, ni á vuestros adivinos, ni á vuestros sueños, ni á vuestros agoreros, ni á vuestros encantadores, que os hablan diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia.
Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
But as for you, don’t listen to your prophets, to your diviners, to your dreams, to your soothsayers, or to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “You shall not serve the king of Babylon;”
porque todos son mentirosos. Y si siguen sus consejos y se niegan a someterse al rey de Babilonia, yo los echaré de su tierra y los enviaré lejos y allá perecerán.
Porque ellos os profetizan mentira, por haceros alejar de vuestra tierra, y para que yo os arroje y perezcáis.
For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

Pero al pueblo de toda nación que se someta al rey de Babilonia se le permitirá quedarse en su propio país y cultivar la tierra como de costumbre.
Mas la gente que sometiere su cuello al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y le sirviere, haréla dejar en su tierra, dice Jehová, y labrarála, y morará en ella.
But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
But the nation that brings their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, that nation I will let remain in their own land,’ says the LORD; ‘and they will till it and dwell in it.’”’”
Jeremías le repitió todas estas profecías a Sedequías, rey de Judá: Si deseas vivir, sométete al rey de Babilonia, le dijo.
Y hablé también á Sedechîas rey de Judá conforme á todas estas palabras, diciendo: Someted vuestros cuellos al yugo del rey de Babilonia, y servid á él y á su pueblo, y vivid.
I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

¿Por qué se empeñan en morir tú y tu pueblo? ¿Por qué elegir la guerra, el hambre y la enfermedad que el Señor ha anunciado a toda nación que no se someta al rey de Babilonia?
¿Por qué moriréis, tú y tu pueblo, á cuchillo, de hambre, y pestilencia, según ha dicho Jehová á la gente que no sirviere al rey de Babilonia?
Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
No prestes oído a los falsos profetas que continuamente te dicen que el rey de Babilonia no te derrotará, pues son unos mentirosos.
No oigáis las palabras de los profetas que os hablan, diciendo: No serviréis al rey de Babilonia; porque os profetizan mentira.
Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, ‘You shall not serve the king of Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
Yo no los envié, dice el Señor, y te están mintiendo en mi nombre. Si insistes en hacerles caso, tendré que echarlos de esta tierra para que mueran tú y todos estos «profetas».
Porque yo no los envié, dice Jehová, y ellos profetizan falsamente en mi nombre, para que yo os arroje, y perezcáis, vosotros y los profetas que os profetizan.
For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
For I have not sent them,” says the LORD, “but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”
Una y otra vez hablé a los sacerdotes y a todo el pueblo y les dije: El Señor dice: No escuchen a sus falsos profetas que les dicen que pronto serán traídas de Babilonia las vasijas de oro que fueron saqueadas del templo. Son puras mentiras.
También á los sacerdotes y á todo este pueblo hablé, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: No oigáis las palabras de vuestros profetas que os profetizan diciendo: He aquí que los vasos de la casa de Jehová volverán de Babilonia ahora presto. Porque os profetizan mentira.
Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, the LORD says, “Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Behold, the vessels of the LORD’s house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon;’ for they prophesy a lie to you.
No los escuchen. Sométanse al rey de Babilonia para que les perdone la vida, porque de otro modo toda esta ciudad será destruida.
No los oigáis; servid al rey de Babilonia, y vivid: ¿por qué ha de ser desierta esta ciudad?
Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why should this city become a desolation?
Si realmente son profetas de Dios, que le oren al Señor de los ejércitos pidiendo que las vasijas de oro que aún han quedado en el templo, y las que hay en el palacio del rey de Judá y en los palacios de Jerusalén, no sean llevadas como botín junto con ustedes a Babilonia.
Y si ellos son profetas, y si es con ellos palabra de Jehová, oren ahora á Jehová de los ejércitos, que los vasos que han quedado en la casa de Jehová y en la casa del rey de Judá y en Jerusalem, no vayan á Babilonia.
But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
But if they are prophets, and if the LORD’s word is with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the LORD’s house, in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
Porque el Señor de los ejércitos dice: Las columnas de bronce que están en el frente del templo, y la gran fuente de bronce que está en el atrio del templo, y los soportes de metal y todos los demás objetos ceremoniales dejados aquí por Nabucodonosor, el rey de Babilonia, cuando desterró a todas las personas importantes de Judá y Jerusalén llevándolos a Babilonia, junto con Jeconías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá,
Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos de aquellas columnas, y del mar, y de las basas, y del resto de los vasos que quedan en esta ciudad,
For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
For the LORD of Armies says concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,

Que no quitó Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, cuando trasportó de Jerusalem á Babilonia á Jechônías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y á todos los nobles de Judá y de Jerusalem:
Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem—

Así pues ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de los vasos que quedaron en la casa de Jehová, y en la casa del rey de Judá, y en Jerusalem:
Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
yes, the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning the vessels that are left in the LORD’s house, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
todavía están por ser llevados a Babilonia y allá se quedarán hasta que yo los mande traer. Después los volveré a traer de regreso a Jerusalén.
A Babilonia serán trasportados, y allí estarán hasta el día en que yo los visitaré, dice Jehová; y después los haré subir, y restituirélos á este lugar.
They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
‘They will be carried to Babylon, and there they will be, until the day that I visit them,’ says the LORD; ‘then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.’”
