Jeremías 29

Voici le texte de la lettre que Jérémie le prophète envoya de Jérusalem au reste des anciens en captivité, aux prêtres, aux prophètes et à tout le peuple que Nabuchodonosor avait déporté de Jérusalem à Babylone,

Y ESTAS son las palabras de la carta que Jeremías profeta envió de Jerusalem á los ancianos que habían quedado de los trasportados, y á los sacerdotes y profetas, y á todo el pueblo que Nabucodonosor llevó cautivo de Jerusalem á Babilonia:

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon,

après que furent sortis de Jérusalem le roi Jéchonias, la reine-mère, les eunuques, les princes de Juda et de Jérusalem, les charpentiers et les serruriers :

(Después que salió el rey Jechônías y la reina, y los de palacio, y los príncipes de Judá y de Jerusalem, y los artífices, y los ingenieros de Jerusalem;)

(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

(after Jeconiah the king, the queen mother, the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen, and the smiths had departed from Jerusalem),

il l’envoya par l'intermédiaire d'Élasa, fils de Saphan, et de Gamarias, fils d’Helcias, que Sédécias, roi de Juda, avait député à Babylone auprès de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone. Elle disait :

Por mano de Elasa hijo de Saphán, y de Jemarías hijo de Hilcías, (los cuales envió Sedechîas rey de Judá á Babilonia, á Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia,) diciendo:

By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon). It said:

Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées, Dieu d'Israël, à tous les captifs que j'ai exilés de Jérusalem à Babylone :

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, á todos los de la cautividad que hice trasportar de Jerusalem á Babilonia:

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives whom I have caused to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Bâtissez des maisons et habitez-les ; plantez des jardins et mangez-en les fruits.

Edificad casas, y morad; y plantad huertos, y comed del fruto de ellos;

Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

“Build houses and dwell in them. Plant gardens and eat their fruit.

Prenez des femmes, et engendrez des fils et des filles ; prenez des femmes pour vos fils, et donnez à vos filles des maris, et qu'elles enfantent des fils et des filles ; multipliez-vous dans ce pays, et ne diminuez pas.

Casaos, y engendrad hijos é hijas; dad mujeres á vuestros hijos, y dad maridos á vuestras hijas, para que paran hijos é hijas; y multiplicaos ahí, y no os hagáis pocos.

Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

Take wives and father sons and daughters. Take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters. Multiply there, and don’t be diminished.

Recherchez le bien de la ville où je vous ai menés en captivité, et priez Yahweh pour elle, car son bien sera votre bien.

Y procurad la paz de la ciudad á la cual os hice traspasar, y rogad por ella á Jehová; porque en su paz tendréis vosotros paz.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.”

Car ainsi parle Yahweh des armées, Dieu d'Israël : Ne vous laissez pas séduire par vos prophètes qui sont au milieu de vous, ni par vos devins, et n'écoutez pas les songes que vous vous donnez.

Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No os engañen vuestros profetas que están entre vosotros, ni vuestros adivinos; ni miréis á vuestros sueños que soñáis.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel says: “Don’t let your prophets who are among you and your diviners deceive you. Don’t listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.

Car c'est faussement qu'ils vous prophétisent en mon nom ; je ne les ai pas envoyés, — oracle de Yahweh.

Porque falsamente os profetizan ellos en mi nombre: no los envié, ha dicho Jehová.

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

For they prophesy falsely to you in my name. I have not sent them,” says the LORD.

Car ainsi parle Yahweh : C'est lorsque soixante-dix ans se seront accomplis pour Babylone que je vous visiterai et que j'exécuterai pour vous ma bonne parole, en vous ramenant en ce lieu.

Porque así dijo Jehová: Cuando en Babilonia se cumplieren los setenta años, yo os visitaré, y despertaré sobre vosotros mi buena palabra, para tornaros á este lugar.

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

For the LORD says, “After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

Car moi, je connais les pensées que j'ai pour vous, — oracle de Yahweh, — pensées de paix, et non de malheur, afin de vous donner un avenir et de l'espérance.

Porque yo sé los pensamientos que tengo acerca de vosotros, dice Jehová, pensamientos de paz, y no de mal, para daros el fin que esperáis.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

Vous m'appellerez, et vous viendrez, et vous me prierez, et je vous écouterai.

Entonces me invocaréis, é iréis y oraréis á mí, y yo os oiré:

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Vous me chercherez et vous me trouverez, parce que vous me chercherez de tout votre cœur.

Y me buscaréis y hallaréis, porque me buscaréis de todo vuestro corazón.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

You shall seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

Et je me laisserai trouver par vous, — oracle de Yahweh ; je ramènerai vos captifs, et je vous rassemblerai de toutes les nations et de tous les lieux où je vous aurai chassés, — oracle de Yahweh, — et je vous ramènerai au lieu d'où je vous ai exilés.

Y seré hallado de vosotros, dice Jehová, y tornaré vuestra cautividad, y os juntaré de todas las gentes, y de todos los lugares adonde os arrojé, dice Jehová; y os haré volver al lugar de donde os hice ser llevados.

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

I will be found by you,” says the LORD, “and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you,” says the LORD. “I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.”

Mais, dites-vous, Yahweh nous a suscité des prophètes à Babylone.

Mas habéis dicho: Jehová nos ha suscitado profetas en Babilonia.

Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

Because you have said, “The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon,”

Ainsi parle Yahweh touchant le roi qui est assis sur le trône de David, tout le peuple qui habite dans cette ville et vos frères qui ne sont pas partis avec vous en exil :

Así empero ha dicho Jehová, del rey que está sentado sobre el trono de David, y de todo el pueblo que mora en esta ciudad, de vuestros hermanos que no salieron con vosotros en cautiverio;

Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

the LORD says concerning the king who sits on David’s throne, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your brothers who haven’t gone with you into captivity,

Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées : Je vais envoyer contre eux l'épée, la famine et la peste ; je les traiterai comme les figues détestables dont on ne peut manger, tant elles sont mauvaises.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí envío yo contra ellos cuchillo, hambre, y pestilencia, y pondrélos como los malos higos, que de malos no se pueden comer.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

the LORD of Armies says: “Behold, I will send on them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like rotten figs that can’t be eaten, they are so bad.

Je les poursuivrai avec l'épée, la famine et la peste, et j'en ferai un objet de terreur dans tous les royaumes de la terre, un objet de malédiction, de stupeur, de moquerie, d'opprobre, parmi toutes les nations où je les aurai chassés :

Y perseguirélos con espada, con hambre y con pestilencia; y darélos por escarnio á todos los reinos de la tierra, por maldición y por espanto, y por silbo y por afrenta á todas la gentes á las cuales los habré arrojado;

And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

I will pursue after them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, to be an object of horror, an astonishment, a hissing, and a reproach among all the nations where I have driven them,

parce qu'ils n'ont pas écouté mes paroles, — oracle de Yahweh, — alors que je leur ai envoyé mes serviteurs les prophètes, les envoyant dès le matin ; et vous n'avez pas écouté, — oracle de Yahweh.

Porque no oyeron mis palabras, dice Jehová, que les envié por mis siervos los profetas, madrugando en enviarlos; y no habéis escuchado, dice Jehová.

Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

because they have not listened to my words,” says the LORD, “with which I sent to them my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear,” says the LORD.

Vous donc, écoutez la parole de Yahweh, vous tous captifs que j'ai envoyés de Jérusalem à Babylone !

Oid pues palabra de Jehová, vosotros todos los trasportados que eché de Jerusalem á Babilonia.

Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

Hear therefore the LORD’s word, all you captives whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées, Dieu d'Israël, au sujet d'Achab, fils de Colias, et de Sédécias, fils de Maasias, qui vous prophétisent en mon nom des mensonges : Voici que je les livre aux mains de Nabuchodonosor, roi de Babylone, et il les fera mourir sous vos yeux.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, acerca de Achâb hijo de Colías, y acerca de Sedechîas hijo de Maasías, quienes os profetizan en mi nombre falsamente: He aquí los entrego yo en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y él los herirá delante de vuestro ojos;

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in my name: “Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he will kill them before your eyes.

On tirera d'eux une formule de malédiction parmi tous les captifs de Juda qui sont à Babylone, en disant : " Que Yahweh te traite comme Sédécias et Achab, que le roi de Babylone a fait rôtir au feu ! "

Y todos los trasportados de Judá que están en Babilonia, tomarán de ellos maldición, diciendo: Póngate Jehová como á Sedechîas y como á Achâb, los cuales asó al fuego el rey de Babilonia.

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

A curse will be taken up about them by all the captives of Judah who are in Babylon, saying, ‘The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;’

parce qu'ils ont fait une infamie en Israël, en commettant l'adultère avec les femmes de leur prochain et en prononçant en mon nom des mensonges, ce que je ne leur avais pas commandé ; et moi je le sais, et je suis témoin, — oracle de Yahweh.

Porque hicieron maldad en Israel, y cometieron adulterio con las mujeres de sus prójimos, y falsamente hablaron en mi nombre palabra que no les mandé; lo cual yo sé, y soy testigo, dice Jehová.

Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

because they have done foolish things in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and have spoken words in my name falsely, which I didn’t command them. I am he who knows, and am witness,” says the LORD.

Et à Séméias, le Néhélamite. tu diras :

Y á Semaías de Nehelam hablarás, diciendo:

Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

Concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite you shall speak, saying,

Ainsi parle Yahweh des armées, Dieu d'Israël : Tu as envoyé en ton nom à tout le peuple qui est à Jérusalem, au prêtre Sophonie, fils de Maasias, et à tous les prêtres des lettres pour leur dire :

Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Por cuanto enviaste letras en tu nombre á todo el pueblo que está en Jerusalem, y á Sophonías sacerdote hijo de Maasías, y á todos los sacerdotes, diciendo:

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

“The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘Because you have sent letters in your own name to all the people who are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

Yahweh t'a établi prêtre à la place du prêtre Joïada, afin qu'il y ait des surveillants dans la maison de Yahweh pour tout homme qui fait l'inspiré et le prophète, afin que tu le mettes aux ceps ou au carcan.

Jehová te ha puesto por sacerdote en lugar de Joiada sacerdote, para que presidáis en la casa de Jehová sobre todo hombre furioso y profetizante, poniéndolo en el calabozo y en el cepo.

The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

“The LORD has made you priest in the place of Jehoiada the priest, that there may be officers in the LORD’s house, for every man who is crazy and makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and in shackles.

Et maintenant, pourquoi donc n'as-tu pas réprimé Jérémie d'Anathoth qui vous prophétise ?

¿Por qué pues no has ahora reprendido á Jeremías de Anathoth, que os profetiza falsamente?

Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

Now therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you,

Grâce à cela, il a pu nous envoyer dire à Babylone : " Ce sera long ; bâtissez des maisons et habitez-les ; plantez des jardins et mangez-en les fruits. "

Porque por eso nos envió á decir en Babilonia: Largo va el cautiverio: edificad casas, y morad; plantad huertos, y comed el fruto de ellos.

For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

because he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, The captivity is long. Build houses, and dwell in them. Plant gardens, and eat their fruit?”’”

Sophonie le prêtre lu cette lettre devant Jérémie le prophète.

Y Sophonías sacerdote había leído esta carta á oídos de Jeremías profeta.

And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet.

Et la parole de Yahweh fut adressée à Jérémie en ces termes :

Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

Then the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,

Envoie dire à tous les exilés : Ainsi parle Yahweh au sujet de Séméias, le Néhélamite : Parce que Séméias vous a prophétisé sans que je l'aie envoyé et qu’il vous a fait mettre votre confiance en un mensonge,

Envía á decir á toda la transmigración: Así ha dicho Jehová de Semaías de Nehelam: Porque os profetizó Semaías, y yo no lo envié, y os hizo confiar en mentira:

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

“Send to all of the captives, saying, ‘The LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: “Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I didn’t send him, and he has caused you to trust in a lie,”

à cause de cela, ainsi parle Yahweh : Je visiterai Séméias, le Néhélamite, et sa postérité ; il n’aura personne des siens qui habite au milieu de son peuple, et il ne verra pas le bien que je ferai à mon peuple, — oracle de Yahweh — car il a prêché la révolte contre Yahweh.

Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo visito sobre Semaías de Nehelam, y sobre su generación: no tendrá varón que more entre este pueblo, ni verá aquel bien que haré yo á mi pueblo, dice Jehová: porque contra Jehová ha hablado rebelión.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

therefore the LORD says, “Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his offspring. He will not have a man to dwell among this people. He won’t see the good that I will do to my people,” says the LORD, “because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD.”’”
