Jeremías 2

La parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes :

Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Va et crie aux oreilles de Jérusalem en ces termes : Ainsi parle Yahweh : Je me suis souvenu de la piété de ta jeunesse, de l'amour de tes fiançailles, alors que tu me suivais au désert, au pays qu'on n'ensemence pas.

Anda, y clama á los oídos de Jerusalem, diciendo: Así dice Jehová: Heme acordado de ti, de la misericordia de tu mocedad, del amor de tu desposorio, cuando andabas en pos de mí en el desierto, en tierra no sembrada.

Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

“Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, ‘The LORD says, “I remember for you the kindness of your youth, your love as a bride, how you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

Israël était la chose consacré à Yahweh, les prémices de son revenu ; quiconque en mangeait se rendait coupable ; le malheur fondait sur lui, — oracle de Yahweh.

Santidad era Israel á Jehová, primicias de sus nuevos frutos. Todos los que le devoran pecarán; mal vendrá sobre ellos, dice Jehová.

Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

Israel was holiness to the LORD, the first fruits of his increase. All who devour him will be held guilty. Evil will come on them,”’ says the LORD.”

Ecoutez la parole de Yahweh, maison de Jacob, et vous toutes, familles de la maison d'Israël :

Oid la palabra de Jehová, casa de Jacob, y todas las familias de la casa de Israel.

Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

Hear the LORD’s word, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel!

Ainsi parle Yahweh : Quelle iniquité vos pères ont-ils trouvé en moi, pour s'éloigner de moi, pour suivre la vanité et devenir eux-mêmes vanité ?

Así dijo Jehová: ¿Qué maldad hallaron en mí vuestros padres, que se alejaron de mí, y se fueron tras la vanidad, y tornáronse vanos?

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

The LORD says, “What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after worthless vanity, and have become worthless?

Ils n'ont pas dit : " Où est Yahweh, qui nous a fait monter du pays d'Egypte, qui nous a guidés dans le désert, dans le pays aride et crevassé, dans le pays de sécheresse et d'ombre de mort, dans le pays où nul homme ne passe, et où personne n'habite ? "

Y no dijeron: ¿Dónde está Jehová, que nos hizo subir de tierra de Egipto, que nos hizo andar por el desierto, por una tierra desierta y despoblada, por tierra seca y de sombra de muerte, por una tierra por la cual no pasó varón, ni allí habitó hombre?

Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

They didn’t say, ‘Where is the LORD who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that no one passed through, and where no man lived?’

Et je vous ai fait venir dans un pays semblable à un verger, pour en manger les fruits et les biens, et, une fois entrés, vous avez souillé mon pays, et fait de mon héritage une abomination.

Y os metí en tierra de Carmelo, para que comieseis su fruto y su bien: mas entrasteis, y contaminasteis mi tierra, é hicisteis mi heredad abominable.

And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

Les prêtres n'ont pas dit : " Où est Yahweh ? " Les dépositaires de la loi ne m'ont pas connu ; les pasteurs m'ont été infidèles, et les prophètes ont prophétisé par Baal ; et ils ont suivi ceux qui ne sont d'aucun secours.

Los sacerdotes no dijeron: ¿Dónde está Jehová? y los que tenían la ley no me conocieron; y los pastores se rebelaron contra mí, y los profetas profetizaron en Baal, y anduvieron tras lo que no aprovecha.

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

The priests didn’t say, ‘Where is the LORD?’ and those who handle the law didn’t know me. The rulers also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal and followed things that do not profit.

Aussi je veux encore plaider contre vous, — oracle de Yahweh, et je plaiderai contre les enfants de vos enfants.

Por tanto entraré aún en juicio con vosotros, dijo Jehová, y con los hijos de vuestros hijos pleitearé.

Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.

“Therefore I will yet contend with you,” says the LORD, “and I will contend with your children’s children.

Passez donc aux îles de Céthim et regardez ; envoyez à Cédar et observez bien ; et voyez s'il y a là rien de semblable.

Porque pasad á las islas de Chîttim y mirad; y enviad á Cedar, y considerad cuidadosamente, y ved si se ha hecho cosa semejante á ésta:

For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.

For pass over to the islands of Kittim, and see. Send to Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there has been such a thing.

Une nation change-t-elle de dieux ? — Et encore ce ne sont pas des dieux !... Et mon peuple a changé sa gloire contre ce qui ne sert à rien !

Si alguna gente ha mudado sus dioses, bien que ellos no son dioses. Pero mi pueblo ha trocado su gloria por lo que no aprovecha.

Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

Has a nation changed its gods, which really are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which doesn’t profit.

Cieux, étonnez-vous-en, frémissez d'horreur et soyez stupéfaits, oracle de Yahweh !

Espantaos, cielos, sobre esto, y horrorizaos; desolaos en gran manera, dijo Jehová.

Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.

“Be astonished, you heavens, at this and be horribly afraid. Be very desolate,” says the LORD.

Car mon peuple a fait double mal : ils m'ont abandonné, moi, la source des eaux vives, pour se creuser des citernes, des citernes crevassées, qui ne retiennent pas l'eau.

Porque dos males ha hecho mi pueblo: dejáronme á mí, fuente de agua viva, por cavar para sí cisternas, cisternas rotas que no detienen aguas.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

“For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut out cisterns for themselves: broken cisterns that can’t hold water.

Israël est-il un esclave, est-il né d'un esclave dans la maison ? Pourquoi donc est-il traité comme un butin ?

¿Es Israel siervo? ¿es esclavo? ¿por qué ha sido dado en presa?

Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?

Is Israel a slave? Is he born into slavery? Why has he become a captive?

Contre lui les lionceaux rugissent, poussent leurs cris, et ils mettent son pays en dévastation. Ses villes sont incendiées, sans d'habitants.

Los cachorros de los leones bramaron sobre él, dieron su voz; y pusieron su tierra en soledad; quemadas están sus ciudades, sin morador.

The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.

The young lions have roared at him and raised their voices. They have made his land waste. His cities are burned up, without inhabitant.

Même les fils de Noph et de Taphnès te tondent le crâne !

Aun los hijos de Noph y de Taphnes te quebrantaron la mollera.

Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.

The children also of Memphis and Tahpanhes have broken the crown of your head.

Cela ne t'arrive-t-il pas parce que tu as abandonné Yahweh, ton Dieu, au temps où il te dirigeait dans la voie ?

¿No te acarreó esto tu dejar á Jehová tu Dios, cuando te hacía andar por camino?

Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?

“Haven’t you brought this on yourself, in that you have forsaken the LORD your God, when he led you by the way?

Et maintenant qu'as-tu à faire sur la route de l'Egypte, pour aller boire l'eau du Nil, et qu'as-tu à faire sur la route de l'Assyrie, pour aller boire l'eau du fleuve ?

Ahora pues, ¿qué tienes tú en el camino de Egipto, para que bebas agua del Nilo? ¿y qué tienes tú en el camino de Asiria, para que bebas agua del río?

And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

Now what do you gain by going to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shihor? Or why do you go on the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?

Ton impiété te châtie et tes rébellions te punissent ! Sache donc et vois combien il est mauvais et amer d'avoir abandonné Yahweh, ton Dieu, et de n'avoir de moi aucune crainte, — oracle du Seigneur Yahweh des armées.

Tu maldad te castigará, y tu apartamiento te condenará: sabe pues y ve cuán malo y amargo es tu dejar á Jehová tu Dios, y faltar mi temor en ti, dice el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos.

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

“Your own wickedness will correct you, and your backsliding will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing, that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that my fear is not in you,” says the Lord, GOD of Armies.

Car depuis longtemps tu as brisé ton joug, tu as rompu tes liens et tu as dit : " Je ne servirai plus ! " Car sur toute colline élevée et sous ton arbre vert tu t'es étendue, comme une courtisane.

Porque desde muy atrás he quebrado tu yugo, y roto tus ataduras; y dijiste: No serviré. Con todo eso, sobre todo collado alto y debajo de todo árbol umbroso, corrías tú, oh ramera.

For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

“For long ago I broke off your yoke, and burst your bonds. You said, ‘I will not serve;’ for on every high hill and under every green tree you bowed yourself, playing the prostitute.

Et moi, je t'avais plantée comme une vigne excellente, tout entière d'une souche franche. Comment t'es-tu changée pour moi en sarments bâtards d'une vigne étrangère ?

Y yo te planté de buen vidueño, simiente verdadera toda ella: ¿cómo pues te me has tornado sarmientos de vid extraña?

Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?

Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a pure and faithful seed. How then have you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?

Oui, quand tu te laverais à la soude, et que tu prodiguerais la potasse, ton iniquité ferait tache devant moi, — oracle du Seigneur Yahweh.

Aunque te laves con lejía, y amontones jabón sobre ti, tu pecado está sellado delante de mí, dijo el Señor Jehová.

For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.

For though you wash yourself with lye, and use much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before me,” says the Lord GOD.

Comment dis-tu : " Je ne me suis point souillée ; je ne suis point allée après les Baals ? " Vois les traces de tes pas dans la Vallée ; reconnais ce que tu as fait ! Chamelle légère, croisant ses pas en tout sens,

¿Cómo dices: No soy inmunda, nunca anduve tras los Baales? Mira tu proceder en el valle, conoce lo que has hecho, dromedaria ligera que frecuentas sus carreras;

How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

“How can you say, ‘I am not defiled. I have not gone after the Baals’? See your way in the valley. Know what you have done. You are a swift dromedary traversing her ways,

onagre habituée au désert, dans l'ardeur de sa passion, elle aspire l'air : qui l'empêchera de satisfaire son désir ? Nul de ceux qui la recherchent n'a à se fatiguer ; ils la trouvent en son mois.

Asna montés acostumbrada al desierto, que respira como quiere; ¿de su ocasión quién la detendrá? Todos los que la buscaren no se cansarán; hallaránla en su mes.

A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

a wild donkey used to the wilderness, that sniffs the wind in her craving. When she is in heat, who can turn her away? All those who seek her will not weary themselves. In her month, they will find her.

Prends garde que ton pied ne se trouve à nu, et que ton gosier ne se dessèche ! Mais tu dis : " Inutile ! Non, car j'aime les étrangers et j'irai après eux ! "

Defiende tus pies de andar descalzos, y tu garganta de la sed. Mas dijiste: Hase perdido la esperanza; en ninguna manera: porque extraños he amado, y tras ellos tengo de ir.

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

“Keep your feet from being bare, and your throat from thirst. But you said, ‘It is in vain. No, for I have loved strangers, and I will go after them.’

Comme un voleur pris sur le fait est couvert de honte, ainsi ont été confondus la maison d'Israël, eux, leurs rois, leurs chefs, leurs prêtres et leurs prophètes,

Como se avergüenza el ladrón cuando es tomado, así se avergonzarán la casa de Israel, ellos, sus reyes, sus príncipes, sus sacerdotes, y sus profetas;

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,

qui disent au bois : " Tu es mon père, " et à la pierre : " Tu m'as mis au monde. " Car ils m'ont tourné le dos, et non la face, et au temps de leur malheur ils disent : " Lève-toi et sauve-nous ! "

Que dicen al leño: Mi padre eres tú; y á la piedra: Tú me has engendrado: pues me volvieron la cerviz, y no el rostro; y en el tiempo de su trabajo dicen: Levántate, y líbranos.

Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

who tell wood, ‘You are my father,’ and a stone, ‘You have given birth to me,’ for they have turned their back to me, and not their face, but in the time of their trouble they will say, ‘Arise, and save us!’

Où sont donc les dieux que tu t'es faits ? Qu'ils se lèvent, s'ils peuvent te sauver au temps de ton malheur ! Car aussi nombreux que tes villes sont tes dieux, ô Juda.

¿Y dónde están tus dioses que hiciste para ti? Levántense, á ver si te podrán librar en el tiempo de tu aflicción: porque según el número de tus ciudades, oh Judá, fueron tus dioses.

But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.

“But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves? Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble, for you have as many gods as you have towns, O Judah.

Pourquoi plaidez-vous contre moi ? Vous m'avez tous été infidèles, — oracle de Yahweh.

¿Por qué porfías conmigo? Todos vosotros prevaricasteis contra mí, dice Jehová.

Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.

“Why will you contend with me? You all have transgressed against me,” says the LORD.

C'est en vain que j'ai frappé vos fils ; ils n'en ont pas retiré d'instruction ; votre épée a dévoré vos prophètes, comme un lion destructeur.

Por demás he azotado vuestros hijos; no han recibido corrección. Cuchillo devoró vuestros profetas como león destrozador.

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

“I have struck your children in vain. They received no correction. Your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

Quelle race vous êtes ! Considérez la parole de Yahweh : Ai-je été pour Israël un désert, un pays d'épaisses ténèbres ? Pourquoi mon peuple a-t-il dit : " Nous sommes libres, nous ne reviendrons pas à vous ? "

¡Oh generación! ved vosotros la palabra de Jehová. ¿He sido yo á Israel soledad, ó tierra de tinieblas? ¿Por qué ha dicho mi pueblo: Señores somos; nunca más vendremos á ti?

O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?

Generation, consider the LORD’s word. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Why do my people say, ‘We have broken loose. We will come to you no more’?

Une vierge oublie-t-elle sa parure, une fiancée sa ceinture ? Et mon peuple m'a oublié depuis des jours sans nombre !

¿Olvídase la virgen de su atavío, ó la desposada de sus sartales? mas mi pueblo se ha olvidado de mí por días que no tienen número.

Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

“Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me for days without number.

Que tu sais bien disposer tes voies pour chercher l'amour ! Pour cela, même avec le crime tu familiarises tes voies !

¿Por qué abonas tu camino para hallar amor, pues aun á las malvadas enseñaste tus caminos?

Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.

How well you prepare your way to seek love! Therefore you have even taught the wicked women your ways.

Jusque sur les pans de tes vêtements, on trouve le sang des pauvres innocents ; tu ne les avais pas surpris en délit d'effraction, mais tu les as tués pour toutes ces choses.

Aun en tus faldas se halló la sangre de las almas de los pobres, de los inocentes: no la hallé en excavación, sino en todas estas cosas.

Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.

Also the blood of the souls of the innocent poor is found in your skirts. You didn’t find them breaking in, but it is because of all these things.

Et tu dis : " Oui, je suis innocente ; certainement sa colère s'est détournée de moi. " Me voici pour te faire le procès sur ce que tu dis : " Je n'ai pas péché ! "

Y dices: Porque soy inocente, de cierto su ira se apartó de mí. He aquí yo entraré en juicio contigo, porque dijiste: No he pecado.

Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.

“Yet you said, ‘I am innocent. Surely his anger has turned away from me.’ “Behold, I will judge you, because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’

Quelle hâte tu mets à changer ta voie ! Tu seras rendue confuse par l'Egypte, comme tu l'as été par l'Assyrie.

¿Para qué discurres tanto, mudando tus caminos? También serás avergonzada de Egipto, como fuiste avergonzada de Asiria.

Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.

Why do you go about so much to change your ways? You will be ashamed of Egypt also, as you were ashamed of Assyria.

De là aussi tu reviendras, les mains sur la tête ; car Yahweh a rejeté ceux en qui tu mets ta confiance, et tu ne réussiras pas avec eux.

También saldrás de él con tus manos sobre tu cabeza: porque Jehová deshechó tus confianzas, y en ellas no tendrás buen suceso.

Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.

You will also leave that place with your hands on your head; for the LORD has rejected those in whom you trust, and you won’t prosper with them.
