O Senhor voltou a falar com Jeremias, enquanto ele continuava preso junto ao alojamento dos guardas do palácio:
Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová á Jeremías la segunda vez, estando él aún preso en el patio de la cárcel, diciendo:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

“Assim diz o Senhor, que fez, formou e firmou a terra — o Senhor é o seu nome —, ele diz o seguinte:
Así ha dicho Jehová que la hizo, Jehová que la formó para afirmarla; Jehová es su nombre:
Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
“The LORD who does it, the LORD who forms it to establish it—the LORD is his name, says:
Fale comigo e eu responderei. Pergunte-me e contarei a você coisas grandiosas e maravilhosas que você não conhece”.
Clama á mí, y te responderé, y te enseñaré cosas grandes y dificultosas que tú no sabes.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’
Porque assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel: “Vocês derrubam casas e até palácios dos reis de Judá para reforçar os muros contra as rampas de cerco e a espada do inimigo.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel, acerca de las casas de esta ciudad, y de las casas de los reyes de Judá, derribadas con arietes y con hachas:
For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
For the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword:
Mas, apesar disso, os babilônios invadirão Jerusalém e encherão as ruas de cadáveres, gente castigada pelo meu furor. Eu abandonei os moradores de Jerusalém por causa de sua grande maldade. Não terei pena quando gritarem pedindo a minha ajuda.
(Porque vinieron para pelear con los Caldeos, para henchirlas de cuerpos de hombres muertos, á los cuales herí yo con mi furor y con mi ira, pues que escondí mi rostro de esta ciudad, á causa de toda su malicia:)
They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
‘While men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city,
“Mas virá o dia em que vou reparar os danos causados a Jerusalém e curar as feridas dos seus moradores. Eles viverão em paz e segurança.
He aquí que yo le hago subir sanidad y medicina; y los curaré, y les revelaré abundancia de paz y de verdad.
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.
Mudarei o destino de Judá e Israel; voltarei a construir as suas cidades destruídas pelo inimigo.
Y haré volver la cautividad de Judá, y la cautividad de Israel, y edificarélos como al principio.
And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.
Eu mesmo purificarei de todo pecado e maldade os israelitas que me desobedecerem. Perdoarei cada pecado que cometerem contra mim, quebrando a minha lei.
Y los limpiaré de toda su maldad con que pecaron contra mí; y perdonaré todos sus pecados con que contra mí pecaron, y con que contra mí se rebelaron.
And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against me. I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against me and by which they have transgressed against me.
Então Jerusalém será um motivo de glória para o meu nome. Todos os povos da terra me louvarão, vendo as coisas boas que fiz por ela, dando-lhe paz. A humanidade temerá e tremerá diante da paz e da prosperidade que estou trazendo para esta cidade”.
Y seráme á mí por nombre de gozo, de alabanza y de gloria, entre todas las gentes de la tierra, que habrán oído todo el bien que yo les hago; y temerán y temblarán de todo el bien y de toda la paz que yo les haré.
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
This city will be to me for a name of joy, for praise, and for glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them, and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I provide to it.’”
Assim diz o Senhor: “Neste lugar, que todos afirmam ter virado um deserto, sem homens ou animais, e em todas as cidades destruídas de Judá, voltarão a ser ouvidas
Así ha dicho Jehová: En este lugar, del cual decís que está desierto sin hombres y sin animales, en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalem, que están asoladas sin hombre y sin morador y sin animal, tiene de oirse aún,
Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
The LORD says: “Yet again there will be heard in this place, about which you say, ‘It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,’
as vozes alegres do noivo e da noiva, as canções felizes de gente levando ofertas de gratidão ao Senhor e dizendo: “ ‘Louvem ao Senhor Todo-poderoso, pois ele é bom, e a sua misericórdia dura para sempre!’ “Porque eu mudarei o destino desta terra para o que era antigamente”, diz o Senhor.
Voz de gozo y voz de alegría, voz de desposado y voz de desposada, voz de los que digan: Alabad á Jehová de los ejércitos, porque Jehová es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia; voz de los que traigan alabanza á la casa de Jehová. Porque tornaré á traer la cautividad de la tierra como al principio, ha dicho Jehová.
The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good, for his loving kindness endures forever;’ who bring thanksgiving into the LORD’s house. For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed as at the first,” says the LORD.
Assim diz o Senhor Todo-poderoso: “Apesar de esta terra estar vazia, abandonada pelos homens e animais, voltará a ver pastores guiando os seus rebanhos em todas as suas cidades.
Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: En este lugar desierto, sin hombre y sin animal, y en todas sus ciudades, aun habrá cabañas de pastores que hagan tener majada á ganados.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
The LORD of Armies says: “Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
Os rebanhos aumentarão e voltarão a encher os campos em volta das vilas na região dos montes, da Sefelá, na planície junto ao mar, nas cidades do sul no Neguebe, na terra de Benjamim, como nos povoados ao redor de Jerusalém e nas cidades de Judá”, diz o Senhor.
En las ciudades de las montañas, en las ciudades de los campos, y en las ciudades del mediodía, y en tierra de Benjamín, y alrededor de Jerusalem y en las ciudades de Judá, aun pasarán ganados por las manos de los contadores, ha dicho Jehová.
In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who counts them,” says the LORD.
“Sim, vai chegar o tempo em que eu cumprirei todas as promessas de paz e felicidade que fiz a Israel e Judá”, diz o Senhor.
He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que yo confirmaré la palabra buena que he hablado á la casa de Israel y á la casa de Judá.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
“Behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.
“Nesses dias e nesse tempo, farei brotar o ramo de justiça, da árvore da família de Davi. Ele executará justiça sobre a terra!
En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo haré producir á David Pimpollo de justicia, y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.
In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
“In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.
Nesses dias, Judá será salvo e Jerusalém será uma cidade segura para seus moradores. E este é o nome pelo qual ela será chamada: ‘O Senhor é Nossa Justiça’ ”.
En aquellos días Judá será salvo, y Jerusalem habitará seguramente, y esto es lo que la llamarán: Jehová, justicia nuestra.
In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: The LORD our righteousness.”
Porque assim diz o Senhor: “Então será cumprida a promessa feita a Davi: ‘Nunca deixará de haver um herdeiro de Davi para ocupar o trono de Israel!’
Porque así ha dicho Jehová: No faltará á David varón que se siente sobre el trono de la casa de Israel;
For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
For the LORD says: “David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.
E também não faltarão sacerdotes que são levitas, para trazerem ao altar do Senhor as ofertas queimadas e ofertas de cereais continuamente”.
Y de los sacerdotes y Levitas no faltará varón de mi presencia que ofrezca holocausto, y encienda presente, y que haga sacrificio todos los días.
Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”
O Senhor disse mais a Jeremias:
Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:
And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
The LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
“Assim diz o Senhor: Se alguém fosse capaz de alterar a lei que eu estabeleci para o dia e a noite, se alguém puder impedir que o dia venha depois da noite, e a noite depois do dia,
Así ha dicho Jehová: Si pudiereis invalidar mi concierto con el día y mi concierto con la noche, por manera que no haya día ni noche á su tiempo,
Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
“The LORD says: ‘If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time,
então seria possível anular a aliança que fiz com Davi, meu servo. Só assim deixaria de haver um herdeiro de Davi para reinar sobre Israel; só assim deixaria haver levitas que são sacerdotes para serem meus servos.
Podráse también invalidar mi pacto con mi siervo David, para que deje de tener hijo que reine sobre su trono, y con los Levitas y sacerdotes, mis ministros.
Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers.
Como é impossível contar as estrelas do céu ou os grãos de areia das praias, assim será impossível contar a família de Davi, meu servo, e os levitas, que me servem”.
Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena de la mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la simiente de David mi siervo, y los Levitas que á mí ministran.
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”
E mais uma vez o Senhor falou a Jeremias:
Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:
Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
The LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
“Por acaso você ainda não viu o que esse povo anda dizendo? Dizem que o Senhor escolheu Israel e Judá, mas depois os abandonou! Eles estão desprezando sua própria nação, achando que deixaram de ser meu povo”.
¿No has echado de ver lo que habla este pueblo diciendo: Dos familias que Jehová escogiera ha desechado? y han tenido en poco mi pueblo, hasta no tenerlos más por nación.
Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
“Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘Has the LORD cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”
Assim diz o Senhor: “Tal como não vou mudar as leis fixas que estabeleci para o dia e a noite, para o céu e a terra,
Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no permaneciere mi concierto con el día y la noche, si yo no he puesto las leyes del cielo y la tierra,
Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
The LORD says: “If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,
jamais rejeitarei os israelitas e a família real de Davi, meu servo. Não mudarei meu plano de escolher o descendente de Davi como rei do povo de Abraão, Isaque e Jacó. Muito pelo contrário, restaurarei a Israel a antiga glória e mostrarei todo o amor que sinto por ele”.
También desecharé la simiente de Jacob, y de David mi siervo, para no tomar de su simiente quien sea señor sobre la simiente de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob. Porque haré volver su cautividad, y tendré de ellos misericordia.
Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
