Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

Invocami, e io ti risponderò, e t’annunzierò cose grandi e impenetrabili, che tu non conosci.
Clama á mí, y te responderé, y te enseñaré cosas grandes y dificultosas que tú no sabes.
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’
Poiché così parla l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele, riguardo alle case di questa città, e riguardo alle case dei re di Giuda che saran diroccate per far fronte ai terrapieni ed alla spada del nemico
Porque así ha dicho Jehová, Dios de Israel, acerca de las casas de esta ciudad, y de las casas de los reyes de Judá, derribadas con arietes y con hachas:
For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
For the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword:
quando si verrà a combattere contro i Caldei, e a riempire quelle case di cadaveri d’uomini, che io percuoterò nella mia ira e nel mio furore, e per le cui malvagità io nasconderò la mia faccia a questa città:
(Porque vinieron para pelear con los Caldeos, para henchirlas de cuerpos de hombres muertos, á los cuales herí yo con mi furor y con mi ira, pues que escondí mi rostro de esta ciudad, á causa de toda su malicia:)
They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
‘While men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city,
Ecco, io recherò ad essa medicazione e rimedi, e guarirò i suoi abitanti, e aprirò loro un tesoro di pace e di verità.
He aquí que yo le hago subir sanidad y medicina; y los curaré, y les revelaré abundancia de paz y de verdad.
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

E farò tornare dalla cattività Giuda e Israele, e li ristabilirò com’erano prima;
Y haré volver la cautividad de Judá, y la cautividad de Israel, y edificarélos como al principio.
And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.
e li purificherò di tutta l’iniquità, colla quale hanno peccato contro di me; e perdonerò loro tutte le iniquità colle quali hanno peccato contro di me, e si sono ribellati a me.
Y los limpiaré de toda su maldad con que pecaron contra mí; y perdonaré todos sus pecados con que contra mí pecaron, y con que contra mí se rebelaron.
And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

E questa città sarà per me un palese argomento di gioia, di lode e di gloria fra tutte le nazioni della terra, che udranno tutto il bene ch’io sto per far loro, e temeranno e tremeranno a motivo di tutto il bene e di tutta la pace ch’io procurerò a Gerusalemme.
Y seráme á mí por nombre de gozo, de alabanza y de gloria, entre todas las gentes de la tierra, que habrán oído todo el bien que yo les hago; y temerán y temblarán de todo el bien y de toda la paz que yo les haré.
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
This city will be to me for a name of joy, for praise, and for glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them, and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I provide to it.’”
Così parla l’Eterno: In questo luogo, del quale voi dite: “E’ un deserto, non v’è più uomo né bestia”, nelle città di Giuda, e per le strade di Gerusalemme che son desolate e dove non è più né uomo, né abitante, né bestia,
Así ha dicho Jehová: En este lugar, del cual decís que está desierto sin hombres y sin animales, en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalem, que están asoladas sin hombre y sin morador y sin animal, tiene de oirse aún,
Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
The LORD says: “Yet again there will be heard in this place, about which you say, ‘It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,’
s’udranno ancora i gridi di gioia, i gridi d’esultanza, la voce dello sposo e la voce della sposa, la voce di quelli che dicono: “Celebrate l’Eterno degli eserciti, poiché l’Eterno è buono, poiché la sua benignità dura in perpetuo”, e che portano offerte di azioni di grazie nella casa dell’Eterno. Poiché io farò tornare i deportati del paese, e lo ristabilirò com’era prima, dice l’Eterno.
Voz de gozo y voz de alegría, voz de desposado y voz de desposada, voz de los que digan: Alabad á Jehová de los ejércitos, porque Jehová es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia; voz de los que traigan alabanza á la casa de Jehová. Porque tornaré á traer la cautividad de la tierra como al principio, ha dicho Jehová.
The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good, for his loving kindness endures forever;’ who bring thanksgiving into the LORD’s house. For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed as at the first,” says the LORD.
Così parla l’Eterno degli eserciti: In questo luogo ch’è deserto, dove non v’è più né uomo né bestia, e in tutte le sue città vi saranno ancora delle dimore di pastori, che faranno riposare i loro greggi.
Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: En este lugar desierto, sin hombre y sin animal, y en todas sus ciudades, aun habrá cabañas de pastores que hagan tener majada á ganados.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
The LORD of Armies says: “Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
Nelle città della contrada montuosa, nelle città della pianura, nelle città del mezzogiorno, nel paese di Beniamino, nei dintorni di Gerusalemme e nelle città di Giuda le pecore passeranno ancora sotto la mano di colui che le conta, dice l’Eterno.
En las ciudades de las montañas, en las ciudades de los campos, y en las ciudades del mediodía, y en tierra de Benjamín, y alrededor de Jerusalem y en las ciudades de Judá, aun pasarán ganados por las manos de los contadores, ha dicho Jehová.
In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who counts them,” says the LORD.
Ecco, i giorni vengono, dice l’Eterno, che io manderò ad effetto la buona parola che ho pronunziata riguardo alla casa d’Israele e riguardo alla casa di Giuda.
He aquí vienen días, dice Jehová, en que yo confirmaré la palabra buena que he hablado á la casa de Israel y á la casa de Judá.
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
“Behold, the days come,” says the LORD, “that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.
In que’ giorni e in quel tempo, io farò germogliare a Davide un germe di giustizia, ed esso farà ragione e giustizia nel paese.
En aquellos días y en aquel tiempo haré producir á David Pimpollo de justicia, y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.
In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
“In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.
In que’ giorni, Giuda sarà salvato, e Gerusalemme abiterà al sicuro, e questo è il nome onde sarà chiamata: “l’Eterno, nostra giustizia”.
En aquellos días Judá será salvo, y Jerusalem habitará seguramente, y esto es lo que la llamarán: Jehová, justicia nuestra.
In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: The LORD our righteousness.”
Poiché così parla l’Eterno: Non verrà mai meno a Davide chi segga sul trono della casa d’Israele,
Porque así ha dicho Jehová: No faltará á David varón que se siente sobre el trono de la casa de Israel;
For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
For the LORD says: “David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.
e ai sacerdoti levitici non verrà mai meno nel mio cospetto chi offra olocausti, chi faccia fumare le offerte, e chi faccia tutti i giorni i sacrifizi.
Y de los sacerdotes y Levitas no faltará varón de mi presencia que ofrezca holocausto, y encienda presente, y que haga sacrificio todos los días.
Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”

Così parla l’Eterno: Se voi potete annullare il mio patto col giorno e il mio patto con la notte, sì che il giorno e la notte non vengano al tempo loro,
Así ha dicho Jehová: Si pudiereis invalidar mi concierto con el día y mi concierto con la noche, por manera que no haya día ni noche á su tiempo,
Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
“The LORD says: ‘If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time,
allora si potrà anche annullare il mio patto con Davide mio servitore, sì ch’egli non abbia più figliuolo che regni sul suo trono, e coi sacerdoti levitici miei ministri.
Podráse también invalidar mi pacto con mi siervo David, para que deje de tener hijo que reine sobre su trono, y con los Levitas y sacerdotes, mis ministros.
Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers.
Come non si può contare l’esercito del cielo né misurare la rena del mare, così io moltiplicherò la progenie di Davide, mio servitore, e i Leviti che fanno il mio servizio.
Como no puede ser contado el ejército del cielo, ni la arena de la mar se puede medir, así multiplicaré la simiente de David mi siervo, y los Levitas que á mí ministran.
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”

Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
The LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
Non hai tu posto mente alle parole di questo popolo quando va dicendo: “Le due famiglie che l’Eterno aveva scelte, le ha rigettate?” Così disprezzano il mio popolo, che agli occhi loro non è più una nazione.
¿No has echado de ver lo que habla este pueblo diciendo: Dos familias que Jehová escogiera ha desechado? y han tenido en poco mi pueblo, hasta no tenerlos más por nación.
Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
“Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘Has the LORD cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”
Così parla l’Eterno: Se io non ho stabilito il mio patto col giorno e con la notte, e se non ho fissato le leggi del cielo e della terra,
Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no permaneciere mi concierto con el día y la noche, si yo no he puesto las leyes del cielo y la tierra,
Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
The LORD says: “If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,
allora rigetterò anche la progenie di Giacobbe e di Davide mio servitore, e non prenderò più dal suo lignaggio i reggitori della progenie d’Abrahamo, d’Isacco e di Giacobbe! poiché io farò tornare i loro esuli, e avrò pietà di loro.
También desecharé la simiente de Jacob, y de David mi siervo, para no tomar de su simiente quien sea señor sobre la simiente de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob. Porque haré volver su cautividad, y tendré de ellos misericordia.
Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
