Jeremías 35

1La palabra que vino a Jeremías de parte del Señor, en los días de Joacim, hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:
2Entra en la casa de los recabitas, habla con ellos y llévalos a la casa del Señor, a una de las habitaciones, y dales vino.
3Entonces tomé a Jaazanías, hijo de Jeremías, hijo de Habasinias, y a sus hermanos y todos sus hijos y todos los recabitas.
4Y los llevé a la casa del Señor, a la habitación de los hijos de Hanán, el hijo de Igdalia, el hombre de Dios, que estaba cerca de la habitación de los gobernantes, que estaba sobre la habitación de Maasias el hijo de Salum, el guardián de la puerta;
5Y puse ante los hijos de los Recabitas jarros llenos de vino y copas, y les dije: Tomen algo de vino.
6Pero ellos dijeron: No tomaremos vino; porque Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nuestro padre, nos dio órdenes, diciendo: No debes tomar vino jamás , tú ni tus hijos.
7Y no deben edificar casas, ni poner semillas, ni tener vides plantadas, o tener alguna; pero todos los días, debes seguir viviendo en tiendas de campaña, para que puedas tener una larga vida en la tierra donde vives como peregrino.
8Y hemos guardado las reglas de Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nuestro padre, en todo lo que nos ordenó hacer, sin beber vino todos nuestros días, nosotros y nuestras esposas y nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas;
9No construimos casas para nosotros mismos, ni tenemos jardines de vid o campos o semillas:
10Pero hemos estado viviendo en tiendas de campaña, y hemos hecho todo lo que Jonadab nuestro padre nos dio órdenes de hacer.
11Pero cuando Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, subió a la tierra, dijimos: “Vamos, vamos a Jerusalén, lejos del ejército de los caldeos y del ejército de los arameos; y por eso vivimos en Jerusalén”.
12Entonces vino la palabra del Señor a Jeremías, diciendo:
13Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Ve y dile a los hombres de Judá y al pueblo de Jerusalén: ¿No hay esperanza de enseñarte a escuchar mis palabras? dice el Señor.
14Las órdenes que Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, dio a sus hijos para que no tomaran vino, se cumplen, y hasta el día de hoy no toman vino, porque cumplen las órdenes de su padre, pero he enviado mis palabras a ti, levantándote temprano, en repetidas ocasiones, y no me has escuchado.
15Y te he enviado a todos mis siervos los profetas, levantándome temprano y enviándolos, diciendo: Vuelve, ahora, cada uno de su mal camino, y sus malas acciones, y no vayan tras otros dioses para convertirse en sus sirvientes, y seguirán viviendo en la tierra que te he dado a ti y a tus padres, pero tus oídos no han sido abiertos y no me has prestado atención.
16Aunque los hijos de Jonadab, hijo de Recab, han hecho las órdenes de su padre que él les dio, esta gente no me ha escuchado.
17Por esta razón, el Señor, el Dios de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Mira, enviaré a Judá y a todo el pueblo de Jerusalén todo el mal que dije que les haría; porque Les envié mis palabras, pero no escucharon; los he llamado, pero no respondieron.
18Pero a los recabitas, Jeremías dijo: Esto es lo que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Porque has hecho las órdenes de Jonadab tu padre, y has mantenido sus reglas, y has hecho todo lo que él dio ordenes de hacer.
19Por esta razón, el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, ha dicho: Jonadab, el hijo de Recab, nunca estará sin un descendiente que tome su lugar delante de mí.

1PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová en días de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, diciendo:
2Ve á casa de los Rechâbitas, y habla con ellos, é introdúcelos en la casa de Jehová, en una de las cámaras, y dales á beber vino.
3Tomé entonces á Jaazanías hijo de Jeremías, hijo de Habassinías, y á sus hermanos, y á todos sus hijos, y á toda la familia de los Rechâbitas;
4Y metílos en la casa de Jehová, en la cámara de los hijos de Hanán, hijo de Igdalías, varón de Dios, la cual estaba junto á la cámara de los príncipes, que estaba sobre la cámara de Maasías hijo de Sallum, guarda de los vasos.
5Y puse delante de los hijos de la familia de los Rechâbitas tazas y copas llenas de vino, y díjeles: Bebed vino.
6Mas ellos dijeron: No beberemos vino; porque Jonadab hijo de Rechâb nuestro padre nos mandó, diciendo: No beberéis jamás vino vosotros ni vuestros hijos:
7Ni edificaréis casa, ni sembraréis sementera, ni plantaréis viña, ni la tendréis: mas moraréis en tiendas todos vuestros días, para que viváis muchos días sobre la haz de la tierra donde vosotros peregrináis.
8Y nosotros hemos obedecido á la voz de Jonadab nuestro padre, hijo de Rechâb, en todas las cosas que nos mandó, de no beber vino en todos nuestros días, nosotros, ni nuestras mujeres, ni nuestros hijos, ni nuestras hijas;
9Y de no edificar casas para nuestra morada, y de no tener viña, ni heredad, ni sementera.
10Moramos pues en tiendas, y hemos obedecido y hecho conforme á todas las cosas que nos mandó Jonadab nuestro padre.
11Sucedió, empero, que cuando Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia subió á la tierra, dijimos: Venid, y entrémonos en Jerusalem, de delante del ejército de los Caldeos y de delante del ejército de los de Siria: y en Jerusalem nos quedamos.
12Y fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías, diciendo:
13Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Ve, y di á los varones de Judá, y á los moradores de Jerusalem: ¿No recibiréis instrucción para obedecer á mis palabras? dice Jehová.
14Fué firme la palabra de Jonadab hijo de Rechâb, el cual mandó á sus hijos que no bebiesen vino, y no lo han bebido hasta hoy, por obedecer al mandamiento de su padre; y yo os he hablado á vosotros, madrugando y hablando, y no me habéis oído.
15Y envié á vosotros á todos mis siervos los profetas, madrugando y enviándolos á decir: Tornaos ahora cada uno de su mal camino, y enmendad vuestras obras, y no vayáis tras dioses ajenos para servirles, y viviréis en la tierra que dí á vosotros y á vuestros padres: mas no inclinasteis vuestro oído, ni me oísteis.
16Ciertamente los hijos de Jonadab, hijo de Rechâb, tuvieron por firme el mandamiento que les dió su padre; mas este pueblo no me ha obedecido.
17Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: He aquí traeré yo sobre Judá y sobre todos los moradores de Jerusalem todo el mal que contra ellos he hablado: porque les hablé, y no oyeron; llamélos, y no han respondido.
18Y dijo Jeremías á la familia de los Rechâbitas: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Porque obedecisteis al mandamiento de Jonadab vuestro padre, y guardasteis todos sus mandamientos, é hicisteis conforme á todas las cosas que os mandó;
19Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: No faltará varón de Jonadab, hijo de Rechâb, que esté en mi presencia todos los días.

1The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
2Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.
3Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;
4And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:
5And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
6But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:
7Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.
8Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;
9Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
10But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
11But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
12Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,
13Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.
14The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father’s commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.
15I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
16Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:
17Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.
18And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:
19Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

1The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,
2“Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into the LORD’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink.”
3Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, with his brothers, all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;
4and I brought them into the LORD’s house, into the room of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the princes, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.
5I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, “Drink wine!”
6But they said, “We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, ‘You shall drink no wine, neither you nor your children, forever.
7You shall not build a house, sow seed, plant a vineyard, or have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents, that you may live many days in the land in which you live as nomads.’
8We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters;
9and not to build houses for ourselves to dwell in. We have no vineyard, field, or seed;
10but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.
11But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, ‘Come! Let’s go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.’”
12Then the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
13“The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, “Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words?” says the LORD.
14“The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment; but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, and you have not listened to me.
15I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, ‘Every one of you must return now from his evil way, amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them. Then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers;’ but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me.
16The sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me.”’
17“Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.’”
18Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, “The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you,’
19therefore the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jonadab the son of Rechab will not lack a man to stand before me forever.’”
