Jeremías 38

En ce temps-là, dit le Seigneur, je serai le Dieu de la maison d'Israël, et elle sera mon peuple.

Y OYÓ Sephatías hijo de Mathán, y Gedalías hijo de Pashur, y Jucal hijo de Selemías, y Pashur hijo de Melchîas, las palabras que Jeremías hablaba á todo el pueblo, diciendo:

Then Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashur the son of Malchiah, heard the words that Jeremiah had spoken unto all the people, saying,

Shephatiah the son of Mattan, Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchijah heard the words that Jeremiah spoke to all the people, saying,

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : J'ai trouvé dans le désert mon peuple encore vivant parmi les cadavres d'hommes tués par le glaive ; allez et ne perdez pas Israël.

Así ha dicho Jehová: El que se quedare en esta ciudad morirá á cuchillo, ó de hambre, ó de pestilencia; mas el que saliere á los Caldeos vivirá, pues su vida le será por despojo, y vivirá.

Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live.

“The LORD says, ‘He who remains in this city will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, but he who goes out to the Chaldeans will live. He will escape with his life and he will live.’

Le Seigneur lui est apparu de loin. Je t'ai aimé d'un amour éternel ; c'est pourquoi, dans ma miséricorde, je t'ai attiré à moi.

Así ha dicho Jehová: De cierto será entregada esta ciudad en mano del ejército del rey de Babilonia, y tomarála.

Thus saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which shall take it.

The LORD says, ‘This city will surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon, and he will take it.’”

Je te réédifierai, et tu seras réédifiée vierge d'Israël ; tu prendras encore ton tambour, et tu sortiras avec une troupe de chanteurs.

Y dijeron los príncipes al rey: Muera ahora este hombre; porque de esta manera hace desmayar las manos de los hombres de guerra que han quedado en esta ciudad, y las manos de todo el pueblo, hablándoles tales palabras; porque este hombre no busca la paz de este pueblo, sino el mal.

Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt.

Then the princes said to the king, “Please let this man be put to death, because he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words to them; for this man doesn’t seek the welfare of this people, but harm.”

Puisque vous avez planté des vignes sur les montagnes de Samarie, plantez, et chantez des louanges.

Y dijo el rey Sedechîas: Helo ahí, en vuestras manos está; que el rey no podrá contra vosotros nada.

Then Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand: for the king is not he that can do any thing against you.

Zedekiah the king said, “Behold, he is in your hand; for the king can’t do anything to oppose you.”

Car c'est le jour où ceux qui plaident en la montagne d'Éphraïm appelleront leurs frères, disant : Levez-vous, et allez à Sion auprès du Seigneur, votre Dieu.

Entonces tomaron ellos á Jeremías, é hiciéronlo echar en la mazmorra de Malchîas hijo de Amelech, que estaba en el patio de la cárcel; y metieron á Jeremías con sogas. Y en la mazmorra no había agua, sino cieno; y hundióse Jeremías en el cieno.

Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.

Then they took Jeremiah and threw him into the dungeon of Malchijah the king’s son, that was in the court of the guard. They let down Jeremiah with cords. In the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur à Jacob : Réjouissez-vous et tressaillez à la tête des nations ; proclamez et chantez des louanges, disant : Le Seigneur a sauvé son peuple, le reste d'Israël.

Y oyendo Ebed-melec, hombre etiope, eunuco que estaba en casa del rey, que habían puesto á Jeremías en la mazmorra, y estando sentado el rey á la puerta de Benjamín,

Now when Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin;

Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, who was in the king’s house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon (the king was then sitting in Benjamin’s gate),

Voilà que je les ramènerai de l'aquilon ; je les rassemblerai des extrémités de la terre pour la fête de la Pâque. Et mon peuple engendrera une nombreuse multitude, et ils reviendront ici.

Ebed-melec salió de la casa del rey, y habló al rey, diciendo:

Ebed-melech went forth out of the king’s house, and spake to the king, saying,

Ebedmelech went out of the king’s house, and spoke to the king, saying,

Ils sont partis pleurant, et je les ramènerai consolés ; ils logeront sur le bord des eaux, dans une voie droite, et ils ne s'y égareront pas ; parce que je suis devenu pour Israël un père, et qu'Éphraïm est mon premier-né.

Mi señor el rey, mal hicieron estos varones en todo lo que han hecho con Jeremías profeta, al cual hicieron echar en la mazmorra; porque allí se morirá de hambre, pues no hay más pan en la ciudad.

My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city.

“My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon. He is likely to die in the place where he is, because of the famine; for there is no more bread in the city.”

Peuples, écoutez les paroles du Seigneur, publiez-les dans les lies lointaines, et dites : Celui qui a vanné Israël, le rassemblera ; et il le gardera, comme le pasteur son troupeau.

Entonces mandó el rey al mismo Ebed-melec Etiope, diciendo: Toma en tu poder treinta hombres de aquí, y haz sacar á Jeremías profeta de la mazmorra, antes que muera.

Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.

Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, “Take from here thirty men with you, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he dies.”

Car le Seigneur est le rédempteur de Jacob ; il l'a retiré des mains d'un plus fort que lui.

Y tomó Ebed-melec en su poder hombres, y entró á la casa del rey al lugar debajo de la tesorería, y tomó de allí trapos viejos, traídos, viejos, y andrajosos, y echólos á Jeremías con sogas en la mazmorra.

So Ebed-melech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.

So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took from there rags and worn-out garments, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.

Et ils viendront, et ils se réjouiront en la montagne de Sion, et ils viendront jouir des biens du Seigneur, en une terre pleine de blé et de vin, et de fruits, et de grand bétail, et de menus troupeaux ; et leur âme sera comme un arbre fruitier, et ils n'auront plus faim.

Y dijo Ebed-melec Etiope á Jeremías: Pon ahora esos trapos viejos, traídos, y rotos, bajo los sobacos de tus brazos, debajo de las sogas. Y lo hizo así Jeremías.

And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.

Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, “Now put these rags and worn-out garments under your armpits under the cords.” Jeremiah did so.

Alors les jeunes filles se réjouiront dans l'assemblée des jeunes gens, et les vieillards se réjouiront, et je changerai leur deuil en fête, et je les remplirai d'allégresse.

De este modo sacaron á Jeremías con sogas, y subiéronlo de la mazmorra; y quedó Jeremías en el patio de la cárcel.

So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

So they lifted Jeremiah up with the cords, and took him up out of the dungeon; and Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

Je glorifierai et j'enivrerai l'âme des prêtres fils de Lévi, et mon peuple se rassasiera de mes biens.

Después envió el rey Sedechîas, é hizo traer á sí á Jeremías profeta á la tercera entrada que estaba en la casa de Jehová. Y dijo el rey á Jeremías: Pregúntote una palabra, no me encubras ninguna cosa.

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that is in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me.

Then Zedekiah the king sent and took Jeremiah the prophet to himself into the third entry that is in the LORD’s house. Then the king said to Jeremiah, “I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.”

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Une voix a été entendue en Rama, avec des lamentations, des gémissements et des larmes ; et Rachel pleurante n'a point voulu être consolée sur ses fils, car ils ne sont plus.

Y Jeremías dijo á Sedechîas: Si te lo denunciare, ¿no es verdad que me matarás? y si te diere consejo, no has de escucharme.

Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare it unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to death? and if I give thee counsel, wilt thou not hearken unto me?

Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “If I declare it to you, will you not surely put me to death? If I give you counsel, you will not listen to me.”

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Que tes sanglots s'arrêtent, que tes yeux cessent de verser des larmes ; car tes œuvres auront leur récompense, et tes fils reviendront de la terre des ennemis.

Y juró el rey Sedechîas en secreto á Jeremías, diciendo: Vive Jehová que nos hizo esta alma, que no te mataré, ni te entregaré en mano de estos varones que buscan tu alma.

So Zedekiah the king sware secretly unto Jeremiah, saying, As the LORD liveth, that made us this soul, I will not put thee to death, neither will I give thee into the hand of these men that seek thy life.

So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, “As the LORD lives, who made our souls, I will not put you to death, neither will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”

Il y aura une demeure stable pour tes fils.

Entonces dijo Jeremías á Sedechîas: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Si salieres luego á los príncipes del rey de Babilonia, tu alma vivirá, y esta ciudad no será puesta á fuego; y vivirás tú y tu casa:

Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon’s princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:

Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, “The LORD, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘If you will go out to the king of Babylon’s princes, then your soul will live, and this city will not be burned with fire. You will live, along with your house.

J'ai entendu Ephraïm gémissant ; il disait : Vous m'avez châtié, et je suis corrigé ; j'étais comme un taureau indompté, ramenez-moi, et je reviendrai ; car vous êtes le Seigneur, mon Dieu.

Mas si no salieres á los príncipes del rey de Babilonia, esta ciudad será entregada en mano de los Caldeos, y la pondrán á fuego, y tú no escaparás de sus manos.

But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand.

But if you will not go out to the king of Babylon’s princes, then this city will be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they will burn it with fire, and you won’t escape out of their hand.’”

Après ma captivité je me suis repenti, et après m'être reconnu j'ai pleuré sur mes jours de honte, et je me suis montré à vous ; car dès ma jeunesse j'ai porté mon opprobre.

Y dijo el rey Sedechîas á Jeremías: Témome á causa de los Judíos que se han adherido á los Caldeos, que no me entreguen en sus manos y me escarnezcan.

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.

Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah, “I am afraid of the Jews who have defected to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.”

Éphraïm est pour moi un fils bien-aimé, un enfant de prédilection, et, puisque mes paroles sont en lui, je ne l'oublierai pas ; c'est pourquoi je l'ai secouru avec sollicitude, et je le traiterai avec miséricorde, dit le Seigneur

Y dijo Jeremías: No te entregarán. Oye ahora la voz de Jehová que yo te hablo, y tendrás bien, y vivirá tu alma.

But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver thee. Obey, I beseech thee, the voice of the LORD, which I speak unto thee: so it shall be well unto thee, and thy soul shall live.

But Jeremiah said, “They won’t deliver you. Obey, I beg you, the LORD’s voice, in that which I speak to you; so it will be well with you, and your soul will live.

Prononce sur toi-même, Sion, charge-toi de te punir ; donne ton cœur aux droits chemins ; reviens en la voie où tu marchais, vierge d'Israël, reviens pleurante en tes cités.

Mas si no quisieres salir, esta es la palabra que me ha mostrado Jehová:

But if thou refuse to go forth, this is the word that the LORD hath shewed me:

But if you refuse to go out, this is the word that the LORD has shown me:

Quand reviendras-tu vers moi, fille déshonorée ; car le Seigneur a fait naître le salut d'une plantation nouvelle, et des hommes la parcourront pour y trouver leur salut.

Y he aquí que todas las mujeres que han quedado en casa del rey de Judá, serán sacadas á los príncipes del rey de Babilonia; y ellas mismas dirán: Te han engañado, y prevalecido contra ti tus amigos; atollaron en el cieno tus pies, se volvieron atrás.

And, behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah’s house shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women shall say, Thy friends have set thee on, and have prevailed against thee: thy feet are sunk in the mire, and they are turned away back.

‘Behold, all the women who are left in the king of Judah’s house will be brought out to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women will say, “Your familiar friends have turned on you, and have prevailed over you. Your feet are sunk in the mire, they have turned away from you.”

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : On dira encore cette parole en la terre de Juda et en ses villes, lorsque j'aurai ramené ses captifs : Béni soit le Seigneur sur la montagne sainte qui lui est consacrée !

Sacarán pues, todas tus mujeres y tus hijos á los Caldeos, y tú no escaparás de sus manos, sino que por mano del rey de Babilonia serás preso, y á esta ciudad quemará á fuego.

So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.

They will bring out all your wives and your children to the Chaldeans. You won’t escape out of their hand, but will be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon. You will cause this city to be burned with fire.’”

C'est là qu'habiteront les villes de Juda ; et le laboureur et le pâtre, avec ses troupeaux, parcourront tout son territoire.

Y dijo Sedechîas á Jeremías: Nadie sepa estas palabras, y no morirás.

Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.

Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “Let no man know of these words, and you won’t die.

J'ai enivré toute âme altérée ; j'ai rassasié toute âme affamée,

Y si los príncipes oyeren que yo he hablado contigo, y vinieren á ti y te dijeren: Decláranos ahora qué hablaste con el rey, no nos lo encubras, y no te mataremos; asimismo qué te dijo el rey;

But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; also what the king said unto thee:

But if the princes hear that I have talked with you, and they come to you, and tell you, ‘Declare to us now what you have said to the king; don’t hide it from us, and we will not put you to death; also tell us what the king said to you;’

Et après cela je me suis éveillé et j'ai vu, et mon sommeil avait été doux pour moi.

Les dirás: Supliqué al rey que no me hiciese tornar á casa de Jonathán porque no me muriese allí.

Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.

then you shall tell them, ‘I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.’”

Voilà que les jours arrivent, me dit encore le Seigneur, où je sèmerai Israël et Juda, semence d'hommes et semence de bêtes.

Y vinieron luego todos los príncipes á Jeremías, y preguntáronle: y él les respondió conforme á todo lo que el rey le había mandado. Con esto se dejaron de él, porque el negocio no se había oído.

Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

Then all the princes came to Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they stopped speaking with him, for the matter was not perceived.

Et ceci arrivera : comme j'avais veillé sur eux pour renverser et détruire, ainsi je veillerai sur eux pour bâtir et planter, dit le Seigneur :

Y quedó Jeremías en el patio de la cárcel hasta el día que fué tomada Jerusalem; y allí estaba cuando Jerusalem fué tomada.

So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.

So Jeremiah stayed in the court of the guard until the day that Jerusalem was taken.

En ces jours-là, on ne dira point : Les pères ont mangé le verjus, et les dents de leurs fils en ont été agacées.

Mais chacun mourra pour son péché, et celui qui mangera le verjus en aura les gencives agacées.

—

Voilà que les jours arrivent, dit le Seigneur, où je ferai une alliance nouvelle avec la maison d'Israël et la maison de Juda,

Non comme l'alliance que je fis avec leurs pères le jour où, les ayant pris par la main, je les tirai de la terre d'Égypte ; car ils n'ont point maintenant mon alliance, et moi, je ne me suis plus occupé d'eux, dit le Seigneur.

Mais voici l'alliance qu'après ces jours-là je ferai avec la maison d'Israël, dit le Seigneur : je leur donnerai mes lois, et je les mettrai en leur pensée, et je les écrirai dans leur cœur ; je serai leur Dieu, et ils seront mon peuple.

—

Et ils s'enseigneront plus chacun son concitoyen ou son frère, disant : Connais le Seigneur ; car alors tous me connaîtront du petit au grand, et je serai miséricordieux pour leurs iniquités, et je ne me souviendrai plus de leurs péchés.

—

Comme le ciel ne peut s'élever, ni les fondements de la terre s'abaisser, dit le Seigneur, ainsi je n'éprouverai point la race d'Israël en retour de ce qu'ils ont fait.

—

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Celui qui a créé le soleil pour éclairer les jours, la lune et les étoiles pour éclairer les nuits ; celui qui a donné à la mer ses bruits et aux vagues leur murmure, son nom est le Seigneur tout- puissant.

—

Si tes lois cessent d'être devant moi, dit le Seigneur, la race d'Israël cessera désormais d'être un peuple à mes yeux.

—

Et voilà que les jours arrivent, dit le Seigneur, où la ville du Seigneur sera rebâtie, depuis la tour d'Anaméhel jusqu'à la porte de l'Angle.

—

Et sa mesure s'étendra jusqu'à la colline de Gareb, et on l'entourera de pierres de choix.

—

—

—

Et tout le terrain, depuis Asarimoth jusqu'au torrent de Cédron et à l'angle de la porte orientale des chevaux, sera consacré au Seigneur ; et il ne sera plus abandonné, et il n'y aura plus rien de détruit jusqu'à la fin des siècles.
