Aber (Und) ich dachte (sprach): Wie will ich dich machen zu (herausstellen unter den) Kindern!,und dir kostbares (begehrenswertes) Land geben,herrlichsten Erbbesitz unter den Völkern.Darum meinte ich, „mein Vater“ würdet ihr mich nennen, und von {hinter} mir würdet ihr euch nicht kehren.
Yo empero dije: ¿Cómo te pondré por hijos, y te daré la tierra deseable, la rica heredad de los ejércitos de las gentes? Y dije: Padre mío me llamarás, y no te apartarás de en pos de mí.
But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
“But I said, ‘How I desire to put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the armies of the nations!’ and I said, ‘You shall call me “My Father”, and shall not turn away from following me.’
