Jeremías 40

La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, lorsque Nébuzaradan, prévôt des bouchers, l'eut renvoyé de Rama, l'ayant pris quand il était lié de chaînes au milieu de tous les prisonniers de Jérusalem et de Juda qu'on emmenait à Babylone.

PALABRA que fué á Jeremías de Jehová, después que Nabuzaradán capitán de la guardia le envió desde Ramá, cuando le tomó estando atado con esposas entre toda la transmigración de Jerusalem y de Judá que iban cautivos á Babilonia.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.

Quand le prévôt des bouchers eut fait venir Jérémie, il lui dit : L'Eternel ton Dieu avait dit qu'il ferait ce mal à ce lieu,

Tomó pues el capitán de la guardia á Jeremías, y díjole: Jehová tu Dios habló este mal contra este lugar;

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

The captain of the guard took Jeremiah and said to him, “The LORD your God pronounced this evil on this place;

et il l'a fait venir ; il a fait comme il l'avait dit, parce que vous avez péché contre l'Eternel et que vous n'avez point obéi à sa voix, et ceci vous est arrivé.

Y halo traído y hecho Jehová según que había dicho: porque pecasteis contra Jehová, y no oísteis su voz, por eso os ha venido esto.

Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.

Maintenant, vois, je t'ai aujourd'hui délié des chaînes que tu avais aux mains. S'il te convient de venir avec moi à Babylone, viens, et j'aurai soin de toi ; mais s'il ne te convient pas de venir avec moi à Babylone, laisse-le ; vois, tout le pays est devant toi ; va où il te conviendra et te plaira d'aller.

Y ahora yo te he soltado hoy de las esposas que tenías en tus manos. Si te está bien venir conmigo á Babilonia, ven, y yo miraré por ti; mas si no te está bien venir conmigo á Babilonia, déjalo: mira, toda la tierra está delante de ti; ve á donde mejor y más cómodo te pareciere ir.

And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.

Now, behold, I release you today from the chains which are on your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me into Babylon, come, and I will take care of you; but if it seems bad to you to come with me into Babylon, don’t. Behold, all the land is before you. Where it seems good and right to you to go, go there.”

Et comme il ne s'en retournait pas encore : Retourne-t'en †lui dit-il vers Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Saphan, que le roi de Babylone a établi sur les villes de Juda ; et demeure avec lui parmi le peuple, ou va où il te plaira. Puis le prévôt des boucliers lui donna des vivres et des présents et le congédia.

Y aun no se había él vuelto, cuando le dijo: Vuélvete á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, al cual el rey de Babilonia ha puesto sobre todas las ciudades de Judá, y vive con él en medio del pueblo: ó ve á donde te pareciere más cómodo de ir. Y dióle el capitán de la guardia presentes y dones, y despidióle.

Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.

Now while he had not yet gone back, “Go back then,” he said, “to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people; or go wherever it seems right to you to go.” So the captain of the guard gave him food and a present, and let him go.

Jérémie alla donc vers Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, à Mitspa, et demeura avec lui parmi le peuple qu'on avait laissé dans le pays.

Fuése entonces Jeremías á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, á Mizpa, y moró con él en medio del pueblo que había quedado en la tierra.

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Then Jeremiah went to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah, and lived with him among the people who were left in the land.

Or, tous les chefs de troupes qui tenaient la campagne, eux et leurs gens, apprirent que le roi de Babylone avait établi Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, sur le pays, qu'il l'avait établi sur les hommes, les femmes et les enfants des pauvres du pays, qu'on n'emmenait pas captifs à Babylone ;

Y como oyeron todos los príncipes del ejército que estaba por el campo, ellos y sus hombres, que el rey de Babilonia había puesto á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam sobre la tierra, y que le había encomendado los hombres, y las mujeres, y los niños, y los pobres de la tierra, que no fueron trasportados á Babilonia;

Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;

et ils allèrent vers Guédalia à Mitspa, ainsi qu'Ismaël, fils de Néthania, Johanan et Jonathan, fils de Karéah, Sérala, fils de Tanhumeth, les fils d'Ephaï, Nétophathite, et Jézania, fils d'un Maacathite, eux et leurs hommes.

Vinieron luego á Gedalías en Mizpa, es á saber, Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y Johanán y Jonathán hijos de Carea, y Seraías hijo de Tanhumeth, y los hijos de Ephi Netophatita, y Jezanías hijo de Maachâti, ellos y sus hombres.

Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of the Maacathite, they and their men came to Gedaliah to Mizpah.

Et Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Saphan, leur jura à eux et à leurs hommes en ces termes : Ne craignez point de servir les Chaldéens ; demeurez dans le pays, servez le roi de Babylone, et vous vous en trouverez bien.

Y juróles Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán, á ellos y á sus hombres, diciendo: No tengáis temor de servir á los Caldeos: habitad en la tierra, y servid al rey de Babilonia, y tendréis bien.

And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, “Don’t be afraid to serve the Chaldeans. Dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it will be well with you.

Pour moi, je vais résider à Mitspa pour être aux ordres des Chaldéens qui viendront vers nous ; et vous, faites les récoltes de vin, de fruits et d'huile ; mettez-les dans vos vases, et habitez les villes que vous occuperez.

Y he aquí que yo habito en Mizpa, para estar delante de los Caldeos que vendrán á nosotros; mas vosotros, coged el vino, y el pan, y el aceite, y ponedlo en vuestros almacenes, y quedaos en vuestras ciudades que habéis tomado.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to stand before the Chaldeans who will come to us; but you, gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”

Tous les Juifs aussi qui étaient dans le pays de Moab et parmi les fils d'Ammon, dans l'Idumée et dans tous ces pays-là, apprirent que le roi de Babylone avait laissé un reste à Juda et qu'il avait établi sur eux Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Saphan.

Asimismo todos los Judíos que estaban en Moab, y entre los hijos de Ammón, y en Edom, y los que estaban en todas las tierras, cuando oyeron decir como el rey de Babilonia había dejado algunos en la Judea, y que había puesto sobre ellos á Gedalías hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Saphán,

Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

Alors tous les Juifs revinrent de tous les lieux où ils avaient été chassés ; ils se rendirent au pays de Juda vers Guédalia, à Mitspa, et ils récoltèrent du vin et des fruits en abondance.

Todos estos Judíos tornaron entonces de todas las partes adonde habían sido echados, y vinieron á tierra de Judá, á Gedalías en Mizpa; y cogieron vino y muy muchos frutos.

Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.

Mais Johanan, fils de Karéah, et tous les chefs de troupes qui tenaient la campagne, allèrent vers Guédalia, à Mitspa,

Y Johanán, hijo de Carea, y todos los príncipes de la gente de guerra que estaban en el campo, vinieron á Gedalías en Mizpa,

Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,

et lui dirent : Ne sais-tu donc pas que Baalis, roi des fils d'Ammon, a envoyé Ismaël, fils de Néthania, pour t'ôter la vie ? Mais Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, ne les crut point.

Y dijéronle: ¿No sabes de cierto como Baalis, rey de los hijos de Ammón, ha enviado á Ismael hijo de Nethanías, para matarte? Mas Gedalías hijo de Ahicam no los creyó.

And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

and said to him, “Do you know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon has sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take your life?” But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam didn’t believe them.

Puis Johanan, fils de Karéah, parla en secret à Guédalia, à Mitspa, et lui dit : Laisse-moi aller tuer Ismaël, fils de Néthania, sans que personne le sache ; pourquoi t'ôterait-il la vie ? Pourquoi tous les Juifs qui se sont rassemblés vers toi seraient-ils dispersés et le reste de Juda périrait-il ?

Entonces Johanán hijo de Carea habló á Gedalías en secreto, en Mizpa, diciendo: Yo iré ahora, y heriré á Ismael hijo de Nethanías, y hombre no lo sabrá: ¿por qué te ha de matar, y todos los Judíos que se han recogido á ti se derramarán, y perecerá el resto de Judá?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, “Please let me go, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man will know it. Why should he take your life, that all the Jews who are gathered to you should be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?”

Mais Guédalia, fils d'Achikam, dit à Johanan, fils de Karéah : Ne fais point cela ; car ce que tu dis contre Ismaël est faux.

Pero Gedalías hijo de Ahicam dijo á Johanán hijo de Carea: No hagas esto, porque falso es lo que tú dices de Ismael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.

But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to Johanan the son of Kareah, “You shall not do this thing, for you speak falsely of Ishmael.”
