Então Joanã, filho de Careá, e Jezanias, filho de Hosaías, e os líderes dos soldados judeus, junto com todo o povo, adultos e crianças,
Y LLEGÁRONSE todos los oficiales de la gente de guerra, y Johanán hijo de Carea, y Jezanías hijo de Osaía, y todo el pueblo desde el menor hasta el mayor,
Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

procuraram Jeremias e disseram: “Por favor ouça o nosso pedido e ore ao Senhor, o seu Deus, em favor de todo esse remanescente. Como você bem sabe, somos o pouco que sobrou da nossa grande nação.
Y dijeron á Jeremías profeta: Caiga ahora nuestro ruego delante de ti, y ruega por nosotros á Jehová tu Dios, por todo este resto, (pues hemos quedado unos pocos de muchos, como nos ven tus ojos,)
And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)
and said to Jeremiah the prophet, “Please let our supplication be presented before you, and pray for us to the LORD your God, even for all this remnant, for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes see us,
Peça ao Senhor para nos dizer o que devemos fazer e para onde devemos ir”.
Para que Jehová tu Dios nos enseñe camino por donde vayamos, y lo que hemos de hacer.
That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.
that the LORD your God may show us the way in which we should walk, and the things that we should do.”
“Está bem”, respondeu Jeremias. “Eu vou orar ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, conforme vocês pediram. E quando ele responder, eu lhes direi a resposta, palavra por palavra. Não esconderei nada de vocês”.
Y Jeremías profeta les dijo: Ya he oído. He aquí que voy á orar á Jehová vuestro Dios, como habéis dicho; y será que todo lo que Jehová os respondiere, os enseñaré: no os reservaré palabra.
Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.
Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the LORD your God according to your words; and it will happen that whatever thing the LORD answers you, I will declare it to you. I will keep nothing back from you.”
Então o povo respondeu a Jeremias: “Queremos que a maldição de Deus caia sobre todos nós, se deixarmos de obedecer ao que o Senhor nos ordenar por seu intermédio.
Y ellos dijeron á Jeremías: Jehová sea entre nosotros testigo de la verdad y de la lealtad, si no hiciéremos conforme á todo aquello para lo cual Jehová tu Dios te enviare á nosotros.
Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the LORD be a true and faithful witness among us, if we don’t do according to all the word with which the LORD your God sends you to tell us.
Sejam as ordens boas ou ruins, gostemos delas ou não, nós obedeceremos ao Senhor, o nosso Deus, com quem você vai falar em nosso favor. Sabemos que tudo sairá bem, se obedecermos ao Senhor, o nosso Deus”.
Ora sea bueno, ora malo, á la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, al cual te enviamos, obedeceremos; para que, obedeciendo á la voz de Jehová nuestro Dios, tengamos bien.
Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
Whether it is good, or whether it is bad, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.”
Dez dias depois, o Senhor mandou sua resposta a Jeremias.
Y aconteció que al cabo de diez días fué palabra de Jehová á Jeremías.
And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.
After ten days, the LORD’s word came to Jeremiah.
Então ele chamou Joanã, filho de Careá, os comandantes do exército que estavam com ele e todo o povo, adultos e crianças.
Y llamó á Johanán hijo de Carea, y á todos los oficiales de la gente de guerra que con él estaban, y á todo el pueblo desde el menor hasta el mayor;
Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

Disse a todos eles: “Assim diz o Senhor, o Deus de Israel, a quem vocês me enviaram para apresentar o pedido de vocês:
Y díjoles: Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel, al cual me enviasteis para que hiciese caer vuestros ruegos en su presencia:
And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;
and said to them, “The LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him, says:
‘Se vocês ficarem nesta terra, eu os protegerei e farei vocês crescerem em paz, como uma planta bem cuidada. A minha ira já passou; a desgraça que fiz cair sobre o povo me deixou muito triste.
Si os quedareis quietos en esta tierra, os edificaré, y no os destruiré; os plantaré, y no os arrancaré: porque arrepentido estoy del mal que os he hecho.
If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
‘If you will still live in this land, then I will build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I grieve over the distress that I have brought on you.
Não tenham mais medo do rei da Babilônia, a quem vocês agora temem. Não tenham medo dele’, diz o Senhor, ‘pois eu estou do seu lado. Eu os protegerei dos exércitos e do grande poder do rei da Babilônia.
No temáis de la presencia del rey de Babilonia, del cual tenéis temor; no temáis de su presencia, ha dicho Jehová, porque con vosotros estoy yo para salvaros y libraros de su mano:
Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
Don’t be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid. Don’t be afraid of him,’ says the LORD, ‘for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
Mostrarei o meu cuidado e a minha compaixão por vocês, fazendo o rei da Babilônia ter compaixão de vocês, deixando que vivam em sua própria terra’.
Y os daré misericordias, y tendrá misericordia de vosotros, y os hará tornar á vuestra tierra.
And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.
I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy on you, and cause you to return to your own land.
“Mas, se vocês disserem: ‘Não permaneceremos nesta terra’, e assim desobedecerem às ordens do Senhor, o seu Deus,
Mas si dijereis: No moraremos en esta tierra, no obedeciendo así á la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios,
But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,
“‘But if you say, “We will not dwell in this land,” so that you don’t obey the LORD your God’s voice,
e disserem: ‘Não! Iremos para o Egito de qualquer maneira; porque lá não há guerra, nem fome e poderemos viver tranquilos’,
Y diciendo: No, antes nos entraremos en tierra de Egipto, en la cual no veremos guerra, ni oiremos sonido de trompeta, ni tendremos hambre de pan, y allá moraremos:
Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
saying, “No, but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we will see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there we will dwell;”’
então ouçam bem a resposta do Senhor, ó remanescente de Judá. Assim diz o Senhor Todo-poderoso, o Deus de Israel: ‘Se vocês teimarem e insistirem em ir para o Egito,
Ahora por eso, oid la palabra de Jehová, reliquias de Judá: Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Si vosotros volviereis vuestros rostros para entrar en Egipto, y entrareis para peregrinar allá,
And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;
now therefore hear the LORD’s word, O remnant of Judah! The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says, ‘If you indeed set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there,
a guerra que tanto temem os alcançará no Egito; a fome, de que têm tanto medo, os perseguirá no Egito, e lá vocês morrerão.
Será que el cuchillo que teméis, os alcanzará allí en tierra de Egipto, y el hambre de que tenéis temor, allá en Egipto se os pegará; y allí moriréis.
Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.
then it will happen that the sword, which you fear, will overtake you there in the land of Egypt; and the famine, about which you are afraid, will follow close behind you there in Egypt; and you will die there.
Isso é exatamente o que vai acontecer com todos os que resolverem fugir para o Egito. Lá morrerão pela guerra, pela fome e pela doença. Ninguém ficará vivo para contar a história, ninguém escapará do castigo que eu trarei sobre vocês’.
Será pues, que todos los hombres que tornaren sus rostros para entrarse en Egipto, para peregrinar allí, morirán á cuchillo, de hambre, y de pestilencia: no habrá de ellos quien quede vivo, ni quien escape delante del mal que traeré yo sobre ellos.
So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.
So will it be with all the men who set their faces to go into Egypt to live there. They will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. None of them will remain or escape from the evil that I will bring on them.’
Assim diz o Senhor Todo-poderoso, o Deus de Israel: ‘Tal como derramei a minha ira contra os moradores de Jerusalém, assim derramarei o meu furor sobre vocês, quando forem morar no Egito! Lá vocês serão recebidos com desprezo e zombaria; serão amaldiçoados e ofendidos. Nunca mais voltarão para sua própria terra’.
Porque así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Como se derramó mi enojo y mi ira sobre los moradores de Jerusalem, así se derramará mi ira sobre vosotros, cuando entrareis en Egipto; y seréis por juramento y por espanto, y por maldición y por afrenta; y no veréis más este lugar.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
For the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘As my anger and my wrath has been poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will be poured out on you, when you enter into Egypt; and you will be an object of horror, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach; and you will see this place no more.’
“Escutem bem todos vocês, ó remanescente de Judá. É o Senhor quem diz: ‘Não entrem no Egito’. E Jeremias concluiu: Não se esqueçam das minhas palavras, desta advertência que eu fiz hoje.
Jehová habló sobre vosotros, oh reliquias de Judá: No entréis en Egipto: sabed por cierto que os aviso hoy.
The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.
“The LORD has spoken concerning you, remnant of Judah, ‘Don’t go into Egypt!’ Know certainly that I have testified to you today.
Vocês estão enganando a si mesmos; sabem qual será o preço desse engano? Suas próprias vidas! Vocês me pediram para orar ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, dizendo que queriam saber a sua vontade e prometendo obediência total.
¿Por qué hicisteis errar vuestras almas? porque vosotros me enviasteis á Jehová vuestro Dios, diciendo: Ora por nosotros á Jehová nuestro Dios; y conforme á todas las cosas que Jehová nuestro Dios dijere, háznoslo saber así, y lo pondremos por obra.
For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
For you have dealt deceitfully against your own souls; for you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, ‘Pray for us to the LORD our God; and according to all that the LORD our God says, so declare to us, and we will do it.’
Mas, quando eu anunciei as ordens do Senhor, o seu Deus, vocês não quiseram ouvir; não obedeceram à mínima parte da mensagem que eu trouxe da parte do Senhor.
Y os lo he denunciado hoy, y no habéis obedecido á la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios, ni á todas las cosas por las cuales me envió á vosotros.
And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.
I have declared it to you today; but you have not obeyed the LORD your God’s voice in anything for which he has sent me to you.
Por isso, fiquem certos de uma coisa: vocês morrerão pela guerra, pela fome e pela doença, lá mesmo no Egito, no lugar onde vocês desejam viver”.
Ahora pues sabed de cierto que á cuchillo, y de hambre y pestilencia, moriréis en el lugar donde deseasteis entrar para peregrinar allí.
Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.
Now therefore know certainly that you will die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”
