Jeremías 44

Desde aquel tiempo en que dejamos de ofrecer sacrificios y libaciones a la reina del cielo, estamos faltos de todo, y nos vemos consumidos por la espada y por el hambre.

Mas desde que cesamos de ofrecer sahumerios á la reina del cielo, y de derramarle libaciones, nos falta todo, y á cuchillo y á hambre somos consumidos.

But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of the sky, and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.”
