Das Wort Jehovahs, das an den Propheten Jirmejahu geschah wider die Philister, ehe denn Pharao Gazah schlug.

PALABRA de Jehová que fué á Jeremías profeta acerca de los Palestinos, antes que Faraón hiriese á Gaza.

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.

So spricht Jehovah: Siehe, Wasser steigen auf von Mitternacht und werden zu einem überflutenden Bache, und sie überfluten das Land und seine Fülle, die Stadt und die darin wohnen; und schreien werden die Menschen und heulen wird alles, was im Lande wohnt.

Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que suben aguas del aquilón, y tornaránse en torrente, é inundarán la tierra y su plenitud, ciudades y moradores de ellas; y los hombres clamarán, y aullará todo morador de la tierra.

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.

Ob dem Lärm des Stampfens der Hufe ihrer Gewaltigen, ob dem Gerassel ihrer Streitwagen und dem Getümmel ihrer Räder wenden sich Väter nicht zu den Söhnen vor Erschlaffung ihrer Hände.

Por el sonido de las uñas de sus fuertes, por el alboroto de sus carros, por el estruendo de sus ruedas, los padres no miraron á los hijos por la flaqueza de las manos;

At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;

Ob dem Tag, der da kommen wird, alle Philister zu verheeren, auszurotten Zor und Zidon, und allen Rest, der beisteht, denn Jehovah verheert die Philister, den Überrest der Insel Kaphthor.

A causa del día que viene para destrucción de todos los Palestinos, para talar á Tiro, y á Sidón, á todo ayudador que quedó vivo: porque Jehová destruirá á los Palestinos, al resto de la isla de Caphtor.

Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.

Kahlheit kommt über Gazah, Aschkalon geht unter, der Überrest ihres Talgrundes. Bis wann wirst du dich ritzen?

Sobre Gaza vino mesadura, Ascalón fué cortada, y el resto de su valle: ¿hasta cuándo te arañarás?

Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?

O Schwert Jehovahs, bis wann wirst du nicht rasten? Ziehe dich zurück in deine Scheide. Ruhe dich aus und sei stille.

Oh espada de Jehová, ¿hasta cuándo no reposarás? Métete en tu vaina, reposa y sosiega.

O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.

“‘You sword of the LORD, how long will it be before you are quiet? Put yourself back into your scabbard; rest, and be still.’

Wie kannst du rasten? Und Jehovah hat ihm wider Aschkalon geboten und an des Meeres Gestade es beschieden.

¿Cómo reposarás? pues que Jehová lo ha enviado contra Ascalón, y á la ribera de la mar, allí lo puso.

How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.
