Jeremías 48

O tu che abiti in Aroer, fermati per la strada, e guarda; interroga il fuggiasco e colei che scampa, e di’: “Che è successo?”

Párate en el camino, y mira, oh moradora de Aroer: pregunta á la que va huyendo, y á la que escapó; dile: ¿Qué ha acontecido?

O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?

Inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way and watch. Ask him who flees, and her who escapes; say, ‘What has been done?’
