Oder ist dir etwa Israel nicht zum Gespött gewesen? Hat man es etwa unter Dieben ertappt, daß du, sooft du von ihm sprachst, höhnisch den Kopf schütteltest?

¿Y no te fué á ti Israel por escarnio, como si lo tomaran entre ladrones? porque desde que de él hablaste, tú te has movido.

For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.

For wasn’t Israel a derision to you? Was he found among thieves? For as often as you speak of him, you shake your head.
