Verlaßt die Städte und macht euch in den Felsklüften heimisch, ihr Bewohner Moabs, und tut es der Wildtaube gleich, die an den Hängen der gähnenden Abgründe nistet!

Desamparad las ciudades, y habitad en peñascos, oh moradores de Moab; y sed como la paloma que hace nido detrás de la boca de la caverna.

O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole’s mouth.

You inhabitants of Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock. Be like the dove that makes her nest over the mouth of the abyss.
