Damaskus ist verzagt und gibt die Flucht; sie zappelt und ist in Ängsten und Schmerzen wie eine Frau in Kindsnöten.

Desmayóse Damasco, volvióse para huir, y tomóle temblor: angustia y dolores le tomaron, como de mujer que está de parto.

Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

Damascus has grown feeble, she turns herself to flee, and trembling has seized her. Anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.
