Concerning the ⌞Ammonites⌟: Thus says Yahweh, “Are there no sons for Israel? Or is there no heir for him? Why has Milcom taken possession of Gad, and his people dwelled in its towns?
DE los hijos de Ammón. Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿No tiene hijos Israel? ¿No tiene heredero? ¿Por qué tomó como por heredad el rey de ellos á Gad, y su pueblo habitó en sus ciudades?
Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?
Of the children of Ammon. The LORD says: “Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why then does Malcam possess Gad, and his people dwell in its cities?
⌞Therefore⌟ look, days are coming,” ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, “and I will sound against Rabbah, the ⌞Ammonites⌟, the alarm of the war, and it will become as a mound of desolation, and its daughters will burn in the fire. Then Israel will dispossess his dispossessors,” says Yahweh.

Why do you boast in your valleys? Your valleys are ebbing. O unfaithful daughter, who trusted in her treasures, who said, ‘Who will come against me?’

“For look, I will make you small among the nations, despised by the humankind.

⌞Therefore⌟ hear the plan of Yahweh that he has planned against Edom, and his plans that he has planned against the inhabitants of Teman. ⌞Surely⌟ they will drag them away, the little ones of the flock. ⌞Surely⌟ he will cause to be desolated over them their grazing place.
Por tanto, oid el consejo de Jehová, que ha acordado sobre Edom; y sus pensamientos, que ha resuelto sobre los moradores de Temán. Ciertamente los más pequeños del hato los arrastrarán, y destruirán sus moradas con ellos.
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.

Acerca de Damasco. Confundióse Hamath, y Arphad, porque oyeron malas nuevas: derritiéronse en aguas de desmayo, no pueden sosegarse.
Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Damascus has grown slack. She has turned away to flee and panic. Anxiety has seized her, and labor pains have grasped her, like a woman in labor.

⌞Therefore⌟ her young men will fall in her public squares, and all ⌞the soldiers⌟ will perish in that day,” ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh of hosts.
